Fall Deer/Mountain Scene

Inspired by the colors of fall, I began playing with my aqua brush and some glossy photo paper, since I don't have watercolor paper.   It didn't blend smoothly but I do enjoy the brush stroke look.  I just pretend I intended it to look that way.  I then used my stazon ink to stamp the mountains and sentiment.  I stamped the deer on separate soft neutral colored paper and then cut them out.  Which is not my strong suit but I enjoy doing it for the most part.  I like leaving a bit of an edge around what I'm trimming.  It seems to give it a better look then cutting to closely to the stamped image.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

  2. I love how the background colors look - great job! I usually leave a bit of the edging as well or try to cut as close to the black edge. I think the deer turned out great!
