CCC #20 & Sketch 227 Deck the Halls Carols of Christmas

I know I've said this a lot on my blog.  BUT here I go again→ I LOVE making Christmas cards.   I thought the sketch challenge at: Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

paired perfectly with the Christmas Card Challenge
I used my new stampin up set called Carols of Christmas.  I also used the Holly Berry Happiness to create the bow.  Which I think is the perfect finishing touch to this little card.  I love how the sparkle twine just glimmers on this card.
Thank you so much for stopping by.  Please know I'd LOVE to have you sign up and follow my blog.  Also take a look around and see my other cards/projects and pictures.

Back To School

Well this card is nothing spectacular, but I must say I noticed when I was looking for a challenge to play along with I was coming across quite a few "school" themes.  So hence the list of challenges I'd like to submit this card to.  But, first let me tell you a bit about it.  I used two embossing folders.  The ruler one for the background and the alphabet one for the side ABC's  I then colored that one in with marker and glitter. Hence the two pictures.  One you see the glitter better, and the other the embossing.   I stamped the crayons using the 1993 school set from stamping up and fussy cut out the crayons, and matched them according to the letter color.  I tied it all together with a bit of twine and a little pencil, and even graded my work with an A+ stamp.
I also wanted to share a picture of  my pal, HP ~he was waiting for me ever so patiently.  Such a cutie.   I'll have to share his puppy pictures someday.. He's adorableđź’—
Now for the challenges in no particular order:

FUSION - Black and Orange Stationery

There is nothing like having a good friend come spend the afternoon with you. We laughed and talked for hours.  It was just what the doctor ordered.  I've been dealing with so much anxiety lately it's become crippling, so it was a very welcome change to have a visitor.
The second card I made for today is for the challenge at: Fusion Card Challenge
I embossed the background with a spiderweb to which I then sponged lightly.  The cute little spider is a single stamp and I had to do quite a bit of fussy cutting and even bring out the x-acto knife to get into those hard to reach places.  I water colored  Charlotte (My spider's name, very orginal..eh?)  and used a bit of marker on her too.  And guess who got a new clear wink of stella pen?  That's right~ me, so I applied a little to the eyes of Charlotte.

Addicted to CAS Challenge #118 - Bella and Friends

Well first up today from Pj's porch is this cute, very simple, with a lot of white space card that I made for the challenge at:  Addicted to CAS
I thought Bella and Friends from stamping up worked wonderfully for this "friends" challenge.  I used my aqua painter to color it in a bit, along with the water color pencils and a few markers.  Quite honestly I do believe I'm addicted to stamping.  It is basically the first thing I do when I get up now.  I can't believe my pinterest board has over 900 cards.. OMGOSH.. some might say that's a problem, I prefer the word creative.  haha
Thank you so much for stopping by.

#TGIFC122 ~Vintage Leaves

Today I made this card for the challenge at: TGIF
I used  the Vintage Leaves set from stamping up.   I'm not sure of the name for the sentiment set.   However, it was suppose to be stamped right next to the leaf, and it would have looked lovely, but of course I stamped it crooked so I had to do a bit of layering to make it look presentable.

My thoughts are with the state of Texas.
May God shelter you with His comfort and give you courage.

Thank you for stopping by my blog.

CTS #236

Wow this was a tough sketch for me to case.  I mean I really did sweat this one out.  I started last night with the giraffe, and I just couldn't seem to make it work.  I tried so hard to stick with a card that had no layers and leave white space with little embellishments, but I needed something to spruce him up so I had to glue on googly eyes.   After all was said and done I still was not happy so then came the umbrella card.  That is the one I'll be submitting to the challenge at:
I really like how the umbrella card turned out, the sparkle paper is just enough bling to make it pop.  I also like that it looks so clean with nice lines and such.

I thought I'd share a picture of little chippy taking a break on the deck.    HP loves to watch him and the squirrels, but honestly our friendly squirrels have been very quietly lately.  I think they moved out of the nest.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #417~Autumn

I made this card for the challenge at: Tuesday Morning Sketches
If you can look past the GIANT acorns it's not to shabby. haha.. I have to laugh at myself.  I seriously had this all planned out in my head, oh yes it was a lovely vision of autumn display, and then I started stamping and realized, how crazy ridiculous it looked, but I thought it's homemade and I worked a long time on it so I must submit the card, if for no other reason then a few chuckles for my followers.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

FMS302 & PCC257 ~Back to School

I sure had some trouble putting this card together.  I suppose because I wanted to use so many different stamped images but finally decided on these.   It was a lot of fussy cutting but I think it turned out super cute.  This is an old 1996 stampin up set.  I don't know the name of it, but the year was on the stamps.  If you know the name please leave me a comment.  Thanks.
I love it when I find two challenges that help me make one card.  So I'm going to submit this card to the following:
                                    Freshly Made Sketches
I also included a picture  of this little bubble bee visiting my flower garden.   Looks like  a mini hedgehog with a bubble bee costume on.  How cute is that?    Cracks me up.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Hope you will take a moment to check out my other cards, projects, and pictures.  Perhaps I can encourage you to follow  my blog.
That would be greatly appreciated.

#tttc012 & SSC159 ~Daisy Delight

Card number two for today, uses one of my new favorites.. the daisy delight set from stampin up.  GOSH.  I think it's super swell.  I mean I love daisies so bright and cheery, like dandelions Just little hints of sunshine all around.  (see profile pic)
I used the color challenge at: Sunday Stamps

combined with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge created by Corinne Blake

I chose the far right row going down.    The special fold is the work on the side of the card, my bling is a few little jewels  scattered and  a bubble clear embellishment in the center of each flower.. I added the second picture so you could see it a bit better, and for the floral I chose the daisies.
Thank you so much for stopping by.   I hope you can take a moment and look at my other cards, projects and pictures too.
I'd love to have you follow my blog.

PP358 Weather Together

I wanted to try something a bit different then flowers.  So I asked myself what could I color? ~and then I remembered I have the Weather Together stamp set from stampin up.. and that would be perfect for coloring.  So that's what I did.  I made this card for  chanllenge at: The Paper Players

I posted both cards so hopefully you can see the glitter sparkle.  I pulled out my almost dry clear wink of stella pen to add the shimmer.  Originally I didn't have the hearts, but the white space just looked so white and blank, so out the window flew my less is more learning from yesterday and in came the raining hearts.   Then I had to add a piece of ribbon and a sentiment because, I smudged a gain.   I'm no neat stamper, I suppose that's what gives it the "authentic homemade look"
I thought the sweet words are such a reflection of the birdie line up on my deck today.. "sometimes we all need shelter from the storm"   A little band of friends hanging out together.
Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you will check out my other cards, projects and pictures on my blog.  Maybe I can win your heart and you will want to follow me here, or facebook or pin a few of my cards.  I'd so appreciate that.

CTD457 & Week 263: BUD

I had so much fun practicing the less is more concept.  Learning to keep white space on the card must be a gift, and I do NOT have it.  I worked all morning trying to master it.  SO I made 3 different cards. And I even stuck with the color challenge on all 3 cards too. However, I'm only submitting the top one with the koala to these challenges.  Casology

CCT16 & HSS Sketch Challenge #271

Oh Boy...I sure do love making Christmas cards.  I put a little Christmas music on the computer and a way we go.  I had to share two pictures of this card to capture the embossed background and also one without the side shadow.  I really like how the trees on the top card sparkle.  Very authentic twinkling lights for Christmas eh?    I'm going to submit this card to the following challenges.
Thank you so much for  stopping by.

PCC256 & CCT16~ Carols of Christmas

Do you see the difference between the cards?  Only a very trained eye can spot it.. haha Just kidding.  Hint: one little embellishment.. However the sparkle paper is so much better looking on the top one.  I used my new stamping up set Carols of Christmas.  I'm not sure what the name is of the little die ornament.  I think it turned out lovely with the snow embossed background.  I'm going to submit this card to the challenges at:
and

Challenge 20 & #TGIFC121 ~Beautiful YOU

I'm a wee bit late in my posting this evening, just had a 100 things on my mind.  Mostly day dreaming and praying we could buy a different house that just came on the market. Yay for level floors.  I'm sure we would have a difficult time selling this old jewel of a home, nevertheless this gal was day dreaming today.   Also praying for my kids safety as the drive home from Missouri.  They went to experience/view the eclipse.  I added my picture from my back yard in WI.  Yup that's clouds. and that's nothing exciting.  But there you have it.
So onto the card.  I used two different stampin up sets to create this card that I made for:
Challenge #20 theme is"Tags!"
AND
It's a tag book mark but I used a little paperclip to hold it to the card, so both could stand alone, and still be nice.  Gosh I actually used 3 different sets, because I used the little dots from Avant garden to stamp her dress before I cut it out.    I really like how the gray brick and purple go so well together.   I suppose I better call it a night or my grammar will be worse then usual here.

Thank you so much for taking time to visit and leave a comment.
While you're here, take a look around my blog, and perhaps I can persuade you to sign up and follow me.   Pinning is also appreciated.
By the way if you have awesome eclipse pictures I'd love to see them.

CTS #235~Avant-Garden Sympathy

Sympathy cards.. do I need to say more?  Such a sad time when a family loses a loved one.

I am very grateful for the challenge at: CASE This Sketch
It really helped me with this card layout/design.    I used the Avant  garden from Stamping up and the sentiment is also stampin up, from 1993 I'm just not sure on the name of that set.  In fact I think I have only pieces of it.  I used ribbon for the vertical and horizontal strips.  If I had to choose my favorite it would be the top card hence the reason I'll submit that one to the challenge.
Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.  Hope you will take a moment to look around my blog and see my other cards, projects and pictures.
I'd love to have you follow me here and on facebook and pinterest.
