Challenge #189 A Sketch~ Riley can FLY

I want to extend a warm welcome to my new blog follower.   Image result for thank you minion
I sure do appreciate your willingness to jump in and follow me.  That made my day.

I wanted to finish off the day by making one more card with my new Riley the Moose stamps.  You can see my other one here.
So I looked for a challenge to play along with and came across this neat sketch at:
I flipped it around a bit so that the little airplane would fit the best in the top big circle and carry the banner onto the next.  It worked lovely.   After coloring it all in I thought I should do a little stitch work around the circles to make them pop a bit more since I didn't layer anything in them.  I also added a few little brads which after the picture was taken I noticed how close I had put them.. *sigh.. always something to find wrong.  Overall I used 4 different stamp sets to create this card.
Thank you  for stopping by for a visit.  Please take a moment to look at my other cards, projects and pictures.
I'd love to have you follow my blog as well.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #442~Meet Riley

So excited about my card today.. because it's my new Riley stamp.  I love moose, and this little Riley is adorable.  If you scroll down to the pictures on the bottom you'll see I even purchased 2 little stamps for the back of my cards.  Oh my goodness how super adorable.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at: Tuesday Morning Sketches
Not only is this a fabulous sketch to play along with.  But the prize is adorable.  I have no St. Patrick's day stamps.  (gasp)  So how awesome that one is up for a win.  Ya all should make a card and pop on over there to play along.
My card involved a die that I purchased a while ago that makes it look like a portrait and has amazing caption dies to go with it.  I chose the "selfie" one for Riley today.  I then stamped the moose and colored it in.  Then came the difficult part for me, choosing the papers, and embellishments that I would use for this little darlin'.   I decided a cute plaid just seemed to work well with the whole bib overalls and banjo playing picture.  The sequins seemed to spruce it up a bit, giving it just the right sparkle to make this little Riley a real country music playing hit.  I went through quite a few of those little sticky dots to make that sequin behave itself and stay in "bow" formation.  I am super pleased with this card.  Probably because it's a moose, but I think it's cute.
Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.  I hope you will take a moment and look around at my other cards, projects and pictures.  I'd love to have you sign up and follow my blog and my facebook page

Two Cards.. Top Dog & Heartfelt Thank you

Well folks, no challenge to play along with today.  But nevertheless there was some stamping.  I made this cute little puppy card "top dog"  yesterday.  If you read my post from the other day, you'll know I bought 2 new stamp sets and these cute dogs were in one of them.                                                                                                               Today I worked on that heartfelt thank you note, which didn't turn out, and after taking the picture I tried using a darker color  for a deeper contrast, but ended up ruining it completely.  I'm going keep trying with this technique until I get it, but oh so frustrating.  Any ways just wanted to post a picture of a few of my projects.  Hopefully tomorrow I'll be back in the game so to speak with finding a challenge to submit my projects to.

I thought I'd share a picture of HP after his bath.. it's a bit blurry, but he don't like to sit still when he hops out of the tub, so I'm getting the "why me" look in this pose.
Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.

Sketch 253~Vintage Vogue

Oh boy folks.. If you take a look at the bottom picture you will see two brand new (to me) stamp sets.  I found them at the consignment shop with my daughter this past weekend.  They were only $1.75 for each set.  OH my goodness that is awesome.    I don't really like all the sentiments in the Not So Seriously set, but for that price I just had to purchase it.. Love the little doggies.  Any ways I knew I'd wanted to play with the new sets, so I found the perfect challenge to submit my card to.
I hope you pop on over to Atlantic Hearts and play along too.
For this card I chose a
turquoise/aqua background and tried to match it with one of the inks in my stash.  I really like how it pops against the black.  Much to my surprise the little embellishments matched perfectly, almost to the point you can hardly see them on the picture.  I cut each of the flowers out after stamping them so that I could pop dot them above the ones  I had already stamped in the square.. just  to off set them a bit  and make it look fuller.
I took my sticks out for a walk today.  It's finally warmer here in WI.  and the race track my husband shoveled for me is not to slippery.  It was lovely getting some outside air until the stinking train yard diesel fumes headed my way.   Shucks!  At least I get to get back to stampin then.
Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.

PP382~Watercolor Wings and Waterfall Card

Today I made a card to represent my SCS (Scripture Card Sunday) and  I also found a challenge to play along with.  So I'll submit this card to The Paper Players.  I love it.                                                                                                                                   I used my  Water color wings set from Stampin up to create the butterfly.  It took quite a few takes to get just the right colors to match the background paper .  And let me just say after I stamped the inside of the card, I thought I'm just going leave it so ya all see the struggle is real. 😉 I really like how the sparkle paper and embellishments help pull this card together.  I also glued down the center of the butterfly but pop dotted the wings.. so as to give it some movement.
I'm also including the card I made for our son-in-law.. my first attempt with a waterfall card.  Whoohoo.. it turned out and it was fun.  I used a few different stamp sets on this one.  Tags & Trimmings for the dots ( I like to think bubbles for champagne)  Amazing You for the sentiments on the outside and Sky is the Limit for the "Happy Birthday"   I really like how it turned out.  I can't wait to try again with another one.  I even included a short 26 second video for you to check out.   Someday I'll  learn to do better with videos, I imagine that needs equipment and such, but for now my little camera will have to do.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.   I invite you to check out my other cards, projects and pictures.  I'd love to have you follow my blog, and facebook page.                                                 Keep Smiling and Keep Stamping.

Challenge 46~Zoo Animals.. Baby Mobile

I wanted to make one more card for today.. I'm suppose to be cleaning off our desk so the hubby can work there.  The poor guy sits with  only about one square foot working space.  I have all my "stamp stuff"  everywhere.  I told myself after this card I will start the putting away process.😉
This card I will submit to:
where the theme is:
 "ZOO ANIMALS"
I thought this cute little baby mobile would work perfectly.   I stamped the umbrella part of it on patterned paper, and then stamped the images on a scrap paper, colored and fussy cut them out for placement.   I pop dotted the elephant up to give it some dimension.  I also cut out the word BABY.. I felt like it needed something up there.  I added a few little star embellishments to finish it off.   The inside of the card is just simple and sweet.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Week 288: PUN~ Alpaca

Oh boy, I'm so excited because my  husband will be painting for me today.  Our daughter's little room will become my stamp room. I am so thrilled with our choice even though it will be a BIG change from my tiny quarters on the porch.  I had adjusted well out there, plus the floors are the only level ones in the whole house.  So this room project will be interesting.  Hoping it goes well.  I will of course keep ya all posted.  You can see pictures of my porch (playroom) up on the top bar.  This way when hubby needs to work on our bills and such he will have a nice clean desk instead of stamp stuff  everywhere.  Can anyone relate to the mess we "create" when stamping?

Any ways on to the card.   I am going to submit it to the challenge at: CASology
I have to say again My daughter picked out this cute little Lawn Fawn stamp set.  Truly it is adorable.  I know the first winter she moved to VA  I made a card for her to remind her we were freezing back here in WI.   I just kept it really simple.  The long sentence is actually 3 different stamps I just lined it up on one acrylic block and hoped for the best.   I then added a few snowflakes to create a little bit of a background.

I am sharing a picture of this squirrel taking a snooze on the fence post. He really needed it after being a little rascal on the bird feeder again.  haha..
Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.

Challenge #300-Twinkle Twinkle & Challenge 357 - Shaker Cards Epic Celebrations Stampin UP

The second card I made for today I will submit to the following:
where we are challenged to use a bit of "Twinkle Twinkle" on our cards.
with optional:  Shaker Card.
So I went for it and made a shaker card.  I had no foam tape on hand, so I improvised and cut off the edges of my pop dots and much to my surprise the strips worked "awesome"   I then used my red sparkles that I got from the dollar section at target many many moons ago.  They worked well for that twinkle I was looking for.  Although I added to many at first, which rarely happens, I usually in previous shaker cards add to little, so this time I chose to error on the side of  to much, and ended up having to rip it apart to empty out a few because you couldn't see the shoes.  Live and learn lessons with a stamper.    I think I should buy some inexpensive shoe strings for my next card to add as an embellishment.  Remember the old days when kids use to learn to sew using those boards with designs and shoe laces?  Gosh I wonder if they even have those anymore.  Sorry I got a little side tracked down memory lane.  Any ways.. I hope you like the card.  I used the Epic Celebrations from stamping up.

Thanks so much for stopping by.   I'd love to have you sign up and follow my blog. Please also will you stop by my facebook page here.. I'm taking a poll and would love your input.

TTTC036~Daisy Delight, Country Livin' Stampin UP

The first card I made today goes to the challenge at: Tic Tac Toe Challenge
I chose the middle row across.  Embossing powder, green and wildflower.
I used my stampin up's Daisy Delight for the wild flowers and the embossed sentiment in Gold.  I also used country livin' from stamin up for the boots.  After seeing the picture of the card, I think perhaps I could have filled the boots in a bit more, I suppose I'll try that next time.

I'm so excited to post my next card too..I did a shaker and it actually sort of turned out.. whoohoo 😊  I hope you will come back and check it out.
Thanks so much for stopping by.  Please also will you stop by my facebook page here.. I'm taking a poll and would love your input.

Challenge #260 - Colours & FMS325~ Basket Bunch Stampin UP

The second card I made for today I will submit to the following challenges:
I used my stampin up set called Basket bunch and was surprised and sad to find out that my sentiment that I used on the inside of the card does not stamp "solid"  seriously the "M" in May is missing the top part.  Perhaps I will email them and see what they can do for me?  I don't know if they will exchange it, but it's  such a shame.. so I just used a marker to fill it in.  I stuck with the colors spot on this time except for peekaboo peach, I didn't have that, so I used my orange and then pulled out my aqua painter to lighten the color up.  It worked well for the basket and a few of the eggs as did the other colors too with the eggs.  I used sweet sugarplum for Mr. Bunny's ears and the basket bow.  The  marina mist was used for Mr. "B's" bow tie.
I have added a picture of my little squirrel friend enjoying a chocolate wafer on the deck today.   He's always a happy little fella even when HP has his nose right up to the patio door watching him.  He knows the dog can't get out and so they just stare each other down.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
I'd love to have you sign up and follow my blog.  Please check out my facebook page too.  I'm taking a poll over there about becoming a stampin up gal.  I would love your opinion.  You can find it here.

Week 288: PUN~ Shellfish Birthday

Oh gosh what a fun challenge at:
I just had to play along.   I have this cute little set from Lawn Fawn, that would work perfectly for this challenge.  Actually my daughter spotted it when we were shopping last year and just thought it was fabulous so I bought it in honor of her.  I made a card using this set for her 21st. birthday last year, you can see it here.  She is a pro when it comes to puns.
I also used my Waterfront set from stampin up for the speckle background.   The inside of the card is stamped with a single stamp that I ordered online.   I took one more picture close up so that hopefully you can see the wink of stella glitter a bit better.

I think it turned out  "speck-tacular"  😉

I'm also sharing a picture of my homemade little water bottle  terrarium.  I want so bad to save my little fittonia plant that was a gift, but the poor thing seems to be unhappy since I forgot to water it a bit in January. ( a Lot of stress)  and apparently a lot of stress to the plant too.  I think it's so beautiful.  Hopefully hubby will take me out to look for a little pot that is shallow.  I read where that might help the plant since they have short roots.  I don't know much about this one, just that it's so pretty and that it was easy to care for until the last episode here of drying out then the little fella just didn't want to spring back for me as easily, so trying to see if the terrarium will help start a plant from it's leaves.  If you know how to care for this plant, I'd sure love some advice.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.  I hope you will take a look around at my other cards, projects and pictures.  I'd love to have you sign up and follow my blog.   Also if you would please pop over to my Facebook page.. I have a poll going on and would love your feedback on it.  Thank you.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #441~ Painted Harvest~Stampin UP

Up first for today I made this card for the challenge at:
I used my polka dot embossing folder for the soft background. Then  next I used some lightly patterned paper.  I pulled out my Stampin Up's Painted Harvest stamp set to create the images.  I rarely use this set, because I have such a difficult time with it.  However, I really like how the flower in the center turned out. I stamped the leaves and then punched them out.  I found 3 little felt flowers to place on top of the leaves, and embellished them with enamel dots.  I even used my clear wink of stella for the center of the flower, it just didn't show up to sparkly on the picture.

Aww..  My little HP knows what to do.. Soaking up some sun rays on this cold day.  He's so sleepy.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
I have a poll on my facebook page I'd love for you to pop on over there and take a vote.
