#GDP124 Beautiful Peacock Stampin up

I must say this is not at all a stamp set I would have purchased, BUT.. My sister loves peacocks.  And being that her birthday is coming up rather quickly I wanted to make a special card for her.  So I chose the stampin up set called "Beautiful Peacock"  I really had no idea how to stamp this.  So I played around a bit with it.  Then I pulled out the ink refills and dropped a few drops on the baby wipe to give the feathers that multi color look.   I think that part of it turned out lovely.   I added white pearl paint to the feathers and little embellishments to the flowers.   I also used a bit of washi tape along the bottom of the card.  I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at: Global Design Project

The colors of Louise Sharp's  card are just delightful and remind me of peacock feathers,  As you can see the from the pictures below when we visited the zoo last year.  I will have to play around quite a bit more with this stamp set.  I hope I can make it look fabulous at some point.  But for sure this is my beginner card.

Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.
I hope you will take a look around my blog, and please sign up to follow me too.
Keep Smiling and Keep Stamping

  1. Your peacock card is gorgeous PJ, I love the colours and the shimmery pearl just added to its beauty. My MIL has a real peacock that arrived on their property over a year ago and has decided to take up residence! They are a stunning looking bird. Thank you so much for playing along to the GDP this week and CASEing my card. Hugs, Louise xo
