Challenge #278 - Sketch~ Lemonade & Bunnies

I honestly can't believe I got a card made today.  WOWZA.. what a day.  I'm loving this warm weather, but the day just became a frenzy of activity.  Needless to say I was frantically trying to mail out a few fourth of July cards.  I still have many more cards I want to send out, I just didn't get it done.  Our Oven was fixed yesterday so that is exciting but the kitchen is still a bit messy, I didn't even get to cleaning that.  I went to the post office and took HP along for the ride he LOVES going for rides.  When we drove to VA a couple years ago to see our daughter.. he road the 14 hours like a champ.  Of course we stopped for bathroom breaks, picnic lunches and to stretch our legs but we pressed on and he was amazing,, he only barked at the toll booths.  Gosh I'm get side tracked... rabbit trailing if you will.. which leads me to the cute bunny pictures below.  Isn't that little fella a darling.  I can appreciate him now.. but boy do rabbits do a number on the gardens.  YIKES.

So finally onto the card today.  I used my 3 dollar stamp set from Michael's to create this card.  I thought it was perfect for today.  It's a hot humid day and I sure love lemonade, and ice tea on days like this.    I used some washi tape with cute flowers to finish that angle edge a bit more.  After stamping, coloring, die-cutting it was time for placement.   I wish I would have left the ice cubes clear instead of coloring them in.. oh well next time.   I added glossy accents to the glass to make it look like real liquid.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

* I want to apologize to you all because I did not get items added to my Etsy Shop like I said I would do.  I have a few stamps and stamp sets that I want to add along with a few cards..but it just didn't happen yet.  BUT hopefully this weekend.

FMS343~work of art Stampin Up

I'm so happy to have sunny hot humid weather.  The last few days were awful.  It was cooler/humid dampness that just makes a person ache.  I even had a chance to go outside this morning.  Plus I  made this card too.  I wanted to get it all done before the maytag man comes to repair our oven.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
I thought I'd go all patriotic today.   So I pulled out my washi tape box and came up with those 3 lovely rolls> The stars on the front and the sentiments about America.. the Red&Blue stars for the inside.
I stamped the stripe with stampin up, Work of art, to give that beautiful American flag look.  I really LOVE how this card turned out.  I think I will give it to my dad.

I have to add a note of great appreciation.  My daughter went with me to Michael's yesterday and paper was 2 dollars each.. WOW.. so I stocked up on some and then I also got a couple different stamp sets that were originally 12.99  I purchased them for 3 dollars.  That made me so happy, Now I'll just have to see if they stamp good.   Oh boy it's exciting.    I really must add some more stamps to my etsy shop. I  need to clean out my stash, to justify getting a few more.   It just that when you finally decide to sell some.. it's amazing that weeks later you wish you had it.
Anyways.. I hope to work on that later today.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

PP399~Layering Love, Heart Happiness, Sure Do Love You. Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at: The Paper Players
I used stampin up's Layering Love, Heart Happiness, and Sure do love you.  I also had a few scraps of the DSP so that worked out wonderfully.   I then used an embossing folder to create the little hearts on the one side.  I tied it all together with gold ribbon to bring out the gold  hearts on the DSP.

I finished off the inside too.  I'm going to be sending this to the ebay seller where I purchased my layer love stamp set.

I'm also including a picture of this cardinal.
 I looked up the meaning:
cardinal is a representative of a loved one who has passed. When you see one, itmeans they are visiting you. They usually show up when you most need them or miss them. They also make an appearance during times of celebration as well as despair to let you know they will always be with you.
Isn't that a lovely description?
I'm so blessed to have him visiting our yard.

#TGIFC165~Tasty Trucks Stampin Up

I was inspired today by the challenge at:
Aww.. Lemonade stands bring back some fun memories. We lived in a kid friendly neighborhood growing up, where the elementary school was around the block and of course a baseball diamond, so after the games we got quite the business my sister and I with all those thirsty athletes and families.  Well it's kind of sad because my kids never got to experience that because we live on a very busy street.. 4 lanes of traffic that fly by so fast.    Any ways such a nice reminder of simple days and summer weather.

However I chose to use the colors from the sketch and go with the icecream truck.  We actually do have that in our neighborhood now, because we have an alley behind our home so that's where the sweet treat truck drives.
I colored the truck in with matching colors and did a bit of paper piecing a few items on the truck to stick with the fun polka dot look.   I did a bit of folder embossing to give the top some dimension and stick with the dots.  I finished it off with another one of those fork bows, I've been making.
The stamp set featured in today's card is:
Stampin Up~ Tasty Trucks
The sentiment on the inside is from the dollar section at a local store.

I thought I'd add a picture of this little squirrel resting on the gate out on the deck, he was watching me take pictures of this card today.

Sketch 270~ Southern Serenade, Bloomin' Love Stampin up

Don't ya just love it when you see a sketch and know immediately what stamp set you will be using?  Well in this case I used two stampin up sets:  Bloomin' Love and Southern Serenade.  I really like how well this card turned out.  The purple and those polka dots just seem to make this a happy card, and that bow.  Let me say I make bows how I tie shoe laces, so sometimes they don't lay flat, and I'm super picky on them.   I  don't know how to explain this very well, but when I tie a bow it always has the end pieces with one up and one tucked underneath the bow, it's still nice, and I use it that way.. but  this little ribbon here today are both out from the bottom.  YAY.. I used the fork technique, and it turned out perfect just very small.  Perhaps I'll need to find a salad fork to make a bigger bow. 😉  Any ways, I don't think many people would even notice but of course it's something I see and just annoys me that I can't do it nicely.
Well after stamping and coloring I added a few little pearls on the card to reflect the white polka dots.
I will be submitting this card to the challenge at:

Challenge Weeks #340-#341/Anything Goes & Feeling Blue and "Distressed" Card Challenge Garden in Bloom Stampin UP

We had a lovely day here in WI.  Beautiful sunny warm weather.  My favorite.   My husband was busy doing yard work and I was sitting outside giving advice, but I didn't think none of it was so helpful, so I decided to come inside do up the dishes and make a treat for my hubby.  Well folks the oven is on the fritz.  GRRRR.. so the pan of bars is now chilling unbaked in the fridge, until the repair man can fix the oven.  LOVELY.   So along with all the other little news lately about the house.. this is just one more little thing to add to the ever growing list.    I figured I better do something that takes my mind off my troubles.  So to the desk I went to make a card.   I used one of my favorite stampin up sets called garden in bloom, it has the cutest  bumble bee.  Image result for bumble bee cartoon
The lovely verse is a single stamp that I ordered online, and thought it very fitting for my SCS ( Scripture Card Sunday)  I tried my best to  distress my card with the blue inks.. I think it kind of looks like a stormy sky background.   After stamping the flowers and leaves I cut them out and placed them accordingly to fit on the card. I did use a couple layers for background, but honestly it's a very flat card.  Perfect for mailing.
I'm going to submit this card to the following challenges:
Challenge:  Blue and Distressed Cards

Anything goes.. be inspired by this lovely scripture verse below.

Challenges #317: Inspired by a Song & RRCB89 Congrats, Stampin UP Blue Skies, Lawn Fawn Studio G~Birdie

I'm going to begin by sharing the two challenges I will be submitting this card to.  That way when I explain the card it might be a bit easier to understand my madness behind the scenes.  😉

I chose the middle row down:  Watercoloring, patterned paper, congrats.

Challenge:  Create a project inspired by a song title.

So onto the explaining.  First up let me say the song I chose is of course from the Wizard of Oz..  Somewhere over the Rainbow.  ahhh.. do you see it now..where I was going I mean with this card?  So after choosing a song, which by the way I was going to go Christmas, because I love making Christmas cards, but decided for this song instead because well it is summer.
SO onto the card,  I pulled out my markers to make a rainbow watercolored background so my happy little bluebird can fly over the rainbow♪ I then needed to find some patterned paper that would hold up to my  bold coloring job.  Aha.. I found some.  YAY!!  I stamped the inside.. with clouds and a lovely sentiment that fits the congrats on the front.
The stamps featured in today's card are:
Studio G~ 2013 That is the little birdie, that I stamped colored, fussy cut out and pop dotted up for some dimension.
Lawn Fawn~Blue Skies, that one is a more recent set, I just used it for the sentiment and clouds on the inside.
Stampin Up~ 2007 Congrats for the Congratulations
What a fun cheery card.  I hope you like it too.

CTS #277~ Vintage Vogue, Peaceful Place Stampin UP

This morning I made a quick card to be submitted to the challenge at: CAS(E) this Sketch
The stamp sets featured in today's card are:
Stampin Up~ Vintage Vogue
Stampin Up~ Peaceful Place

I think they complimented each other very well .  I kept the color a very "peaceful" soft suede, as not to add distraction with to much color.   haha.. Wait to you see my next card I'll be posting.. It's a big bang of color, after all I did need to brighten up the mood a bit. 😉

Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.

Challenge #277 - Colours~ Everyday Expressions Stampin Up

I want to give a big warm welcome to my newest blog follower.  This is  exciting❕
Image result for minion thank you
I'm so happy you decided to sign up and follow my blog.  💛

The card I made for today I will be submitting to the challenge at:
I'm thrilled I had the exact colors to work with.  YAY for that.   Although I had to use my aqua painter and dip it in my ink pads it still turned out ok.  I added a bit of clear wink of stella to all the treats, and the one with the bite out of it I added some white pearl paint, my gosh it actually looks like vanilla ice cream.  AWESOME.   I used an older stampin up set from 1997 called Everyday expressions for the sentiment.   I used a single stamp for the trio of cool treats from Repeat Impressions.   I just inked up one of the treats on the stamp for the inside of the card.   I was amazed I even had pool party ribbon on hand.  It was a gift from a  friend, and boy it tied this together lovely.
I'm also including a picture of this lovely little finch resting at the feeding post today.

FMS342. Hand Delivered Stampin Up

I was so excited to play with this new stampin up set called: Hand Delivered.  I feel so blessed to be able to have made a purchase that enabled me to get a hostess set.  YAY😊
So I found a challenge to play along with.  Freshly Made Sketches
As you can see I turned the sketch so it was more vertical, enabling me to have room for the balloons.  I used some lovely DSP for the background and also for her dress.  I found a piece of ribbon that matched the colors almost perfect so that is what I chose for my banner along the edge.  After some coloring and fussy cutting I then used the glossy accents for the balloons and it gave it such a realistic look.  LOVE that.

Thank you  so much for stopping by for a visit.

#TGIFC164~ Mimi's Christmas

I had to hurry super fast with this card today, because I didn't see the fun challenge about doodling until about 25 minutes ago.. So I pulled out this little mimi's Christmas stamp set and went to work doodling.  I drew in the snow, and the borders, then I gave it a stitched look by adding dashes.   I scribbled a little border on the inside.  Then finished it off with printing the snow day on top.   I have to say I had to stamp her 3x before it finally took but then I hurried and colored her in.  I wanted to give a hint of rosy cheeks but some how it looks more like she got popped in the face with a snowball. UGH.. any ways I'm going to submit this card to the fun challenge at:

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
Sorry for the hurried mess in the card and the blog post today.

Sketch 269~ Waterfront, High Tide, Lily Pad Lake, Stampin Up

Oh boy what another super lovely sketch to play along with at:  Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge😊

I made this card for a friend who is going through cancer treatment.  Her courage is amazing.
I wanted to make a lovely scene with my new Lily pad Lake set from stampin up.   I found it very interesting that in Colorado there is a Lily Pad Lake and it's so beautiful with the mountains that surround it.  They also have trails.  But to my complete amazement we have a Lily Pad lake here in WI.. WHAT???  Omgosh. .I had no idea.  Isn't that interesting?
Any ways  I needed help from two more stampin up sets to make this card complete.  Waterfront and High Tide~ Two of my favorites.
I added glossy accents to the water on the tag to give it a bit more dimension then the card background I stamped.

Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #458 Sky Is the Limit Stampin UP

I went very simple with my card today.   I pulled out my Sky Is the Limit stampin up set.  I don't use it very often, and I thought that it would work perfectly with the sketch, so I'm going to submit my card to the challenge at:
I used my world embossing folder for the background.   I added white ribbon so it would blend in nicely.  I also added a cute little silver brad in the center of the propeller.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Week 305: JUMPY~ Critter at the Dog Park, Blue Skies Lawn Fawn

Yesterday was HP's 7th birthday and I forgot to post pictures of the little darling.   So in honor of him, today I made a card with a cute little dog.    I used two Lawn fawn sets:  Critters at the dog park, and Blue Skies.   I think they worked out pretty nicely together.   I was so happy that the grass turned out level.  I had to stamp it 3x right next to each other.. phew.. it worked.    I added a little bit of clear wink of stella to the clouds and glossy accents to the tennis ball.    Which made me laugh because we have a few house rules for HP to follow and one is, no TOYS in the kennel, well yesterday he got a new ball, and guess who hid it in his kennel and slept with it?  lol  that silly dog of ours.  I will add a few pictures of him.    I thought this card was so fitting because HP can really jump and his favorite thing to do is jump up for catching those tennis balls.  He has a sweet personality that would win anyone over.   But He also has a LOT of energy.
I'm  going to submit my card to the challenge at:
Image may contain: shoes and dog
Image may contain: one or more people and dogImage may contain: dog and outdoor
