Challenge 380~The Little Things Stampin Up

Well here is the third card for this Sunday.   On my previous 2 posts today I mentioned that I didn't stamp a scripture verse in my cards today.  That's something I usually like to do to get me grounded, so I have been adding a verse to the bottom of my posts today.
Now for the card. I made this for the challenge at:
Optional theme: Embossing Magic
I used my new set that I just purchased.  I think it's an already retired stampin up set.  It's called The Little Things.  I just like how it came together for this card.  I will be sending it to the seller as a thank you.   I used glitter orange paper for the background, then dry embossed the spider web and sponged some black ink on it.   For the side banner I stamped the itty bitty spiders in a couple colors to bring out the black and orange.  I just love the sentiment "spooky-licious"  how fun is that word?    Any ways  I had the spiders make another appearance on the inside of the card, and just enough sparkle paper for a little side trim.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
If you want to see a few of the pictures from our home renovation you can check out my 2 early posts.  I will be sharing more as we get a little further in the process.

HSSCC299 Layering Love, Pressed Flowers, Stampin Up

Card number 2 for today I made for the challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments

Such a lovely variety of color.   I did  some stamping off with the inks so they were a bit lighter in shade and then the bold gorgeous grape for the sentiment worked lovely with the navy background paper.    The stamp sets featured in this card today are:
Stamping up: Layering Love
Stamping up: Pressed Flowers.
I like how the white sparkle twine looks over the stamped navy burlap image.

Well I thought I'd share a couple more pictures of the home renovation process.  It's slow as I mentioned in my previous post, and problems along the way.  But praying it gets done soon and will be lovely and good for my back and legs.  We are also hoping someone will be able to buy our old hardwood floor pieces when we rip them up, so they don't go in the landfill.   I do believe the right person can re-purpose them.  I was even going to google up ideas for hardwood floor scraps and try to make some small project myself  to give to my kiddos for Christmas.

Also being today is Sunday and I didn't stamp a scripture verse in my card, I thought I'd add one here at the bottom of my post.

RRCB96~Decorative PInes, Wonderland, itty bitty greetings, Pressed Flowers, Stampin Up

Well, I've been busy today, the good kind of busy where I make cards to try and forget my troubles.   However, I must add a quick note that even though today is Sunday I didn't make a card with Scripture Verses on it.. So I will be adding a scripture verse to the bottom of each of my 3 posts.
So up first is this card I made today for the challenge at: Retro Rubber Challenge Blog
I love playing along with sketch challenges.
The stamp set I used for my main image  is from Stampin up 1998 Decorative Pines, the Moose, the pine cone, and pine needle sprigs  are all from that set.  Now for the trees in the background I used a bit newer stampin up set called wonderland, and for the burlap image that was from a brand spanking new set called pressed flowers, also from stampin up.  And I also used the sentiment  from itty bitty greetings.  I hope that does not disqualify me from the challenge.

I like how this card turned out.  Probably because I love anything moose.  Just has a country home feel to it.

And talk about homes, UGH, we are still under construction here.  All 6 basement windows are almost done.  I shared a few pictures here with you, the first up is my drier window vent area and now how it looks with the glass block, I feel so blessed to have something so nice, after about 17 years with cardboard, plywood, and insulation, I actually have a real window.. and the second picture you can see all the rotten wood around the single pane glass, and how the wall was deteriorating, so blessed that it is much better now. Hopefully the mice will stay out of the house now.  (hope that doesn't gross anyone out)   Our home is over a hundred years old and in rough shape but we are trying to salvage it.   Just praying the man doing this hurries along before the snow starts.. we are living in not fun arrangements right now, and it's quite difficult with my legs and back, I have to climb the basement steps a lot and that is very difficult for me.  Well I don't want to sound like a complainer, just explaining.   But so thankful it's getting fixed up.  I'll share more pictures of the flooring as that progresses..

CTS #291 Barnyard Babies Stampin Up

I was so happy to find this cute little set for sale, Stampin Up's Barnyard Babies.   As far as I can come up with I think it is from 2015.   I am happy to have it in my stash now.  The seller had it in immaculate condition, so I made this little card for her as a thank you.

I will be submitting it to the challenge at:

TMS #472 Baroque Motifs, For all things, Wondrous Wreath, stampin Up

I made this card today for the challenge at:
I used three stampin up sets to make this card.
Baroque Motifs, For all things, and Wondrous Wreath.  I l really love the dusty durango ink color.  It is the color of the bow, berries and background swirl.   I haven't found a similar color to match it yet and I'm running low on ink.  Gosh it has such a warm fall tone to it.
I die cut a piece of orange glitter paper to go behind the wreath for some sparkle and also to cover up the center where you would see the swirl peek through.   It turned out lovely.
It's cooling down a bit here in Wisconsin.  So as I'm typing my fingers are all white and frozen.  Thanks to Raynaud's Syndrome.  So I guess it's time to call it the end.

Challenge #291 - Sketch ~Signs of Santa Stampin Up

Oh I love making Christmas cards
⛄🎄🎅🤶, and I have a fun new stampin up set to play with: Signs of Santa.   Gosh such cute little characters, and  a lovely way to improve my mood.   This house renovation with the floor is taking a toll on me.  My legs and back really do not appreciate the living arrangement, and I don't think it will be done for quite some time yet.   But on a happy note at least the porch is not under construction, and that is where my stamping stuff is.  😊 And also my protective pup too.
I do believe I'm going to have to invest in a few more alcohol markers for better shading.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:

Sketch #283 Spooky Cat, Spooky Sweets, Cauldron Bubble

A little bit of a recap for ya all,  like I mentioned in an earlier post, I'm in a Halloween card making kick lately.   I'm usually not to good at making Halloween cards but this year I was able to purchase a few sets and have enjoyed playing with them.
I will be submitting this card to the fantastic challenge at:
Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge
It's always exciting for me to play along with sketch challenges.  Sometimes I try to stay quite true to the picture and other times like today, I let my imagination go a bit "wild"    I hope ya can all clearly still see the sketch in my card though.    The broom brush and rat are the two little images I chose for below the horizontal line, and the owl resting on the stick of the broom, the potion bottles and the 2nd rat  are my three items for the left hand side of the card.  I used bats for the upper part of the sketch, I even added a couple little enamel dots on them to my them sparkle.  I mixed and matched papers and stamp sets for this card.  The pumpkins on the horizontal line is washi tape.  I added a big yellow moon behind the cat to help her stand out a bit, however, I still wasn't pleased with her so I gave her a cute little bow.  Part of me wishes I stamped the owl in black and the eyes in green, but I suppose next time for that idea.

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Spooky Cat
Stampin Up: Spooky Sweets
Stampin Up: Cauldron Bubble

I thought I'd include a picture of what was an awesome moon, but my camera would not cooperate.  Imagine that?

CTS #290 Cauldron Bubble Stampin UP

I'm on a Halloween card making kick this year.  Perhaps because the stamp sets are so adorable.   I used the Stampin up Cauldron Bubble set with matching DSP for the horizontal stripes.   I brushed on some wink of stella to the green bubbling over in the cauldron to make it sparkle a bit.

SSC188 TIME TO GET SKETCHY~Thoughtful Branches Stampin Up

OH boy~~  I forgot what mess glitter can be.  haha.  I'm laughing because ladies and gentlemen I'm completely sparkly now.  YIKES.. My little desk is too. Dazzling diamonds are everywhere.  I just wanted a little shimmer to the card and well I shook a tiny dab out and the whole kit and caboodle dumped on the card, lovely (sigh)  so then began the clean up process, which apparently just made it a bit more worse and scattered the loveliness everywhere.
Any ways no harm is done.  Won't the person receiving this card love the glitter too?   I used my new fabulous stampin up set called thoughtful branches.  It's retired, but I can't seem to get enough of this one the past couple days.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:

Challenge #118 Layering Love, Blended Seasons, Thoughtful Branches. Stampin UP

Today I thought I'd start off by making a card for the challenge at:

I was inspired by the colors in their photo.
So I began stamping autumn leaves in a variety of shades.. and found a fabulous piece of ribbon that worked well to tie it all together.
The stamp sets featured in today's card are:
Stampin Up: Layering Love
Stamping Up: Blended Seasons
Stampin Up:  Thoughtful Branches (one of my new favorites, although it's retired).

Color Dare #310 Thoughtful Branches. Stampin Up

Today I made a card to be submitted to the challenge at:
I tried to stick as close as possible to all the colors, the peacock color was actually the hardest one for me to match up.  I had a few different inks and stamped off to create a lighter look, I then asked my hubby which he thought most looked like the peacock color and so the decision was made.  and I stamped my tree leaves, grass and the sentiment with that ink.  I then used the trunk of the tree for the kraft color and also background paper. and the ruby worked well for the apples.   Over all not to shabby. I even tried to tie in the gold with a strand of sequins and couple lose ones at the top.

The stamp set featured in today's card is:
Stampin Up:  Thoughtful Branches.  My new favorite.

FMS355 Thoughtful Branches Stampin Up

Another card for today.  I really only packed one box for the home project here, because my hubby was busy taking out insulation in the basement logs and putting it up in the attic.   So I decided to stay out of his way and make cards.
This one I will submit to the challenge at:
This is a thank you card I made for the woman I bought this set from.  It is Stampin Up, Thoughtful Branches.  What a super lovely set, so many possibilities.  I plan on playing with it some more tomorrow.  I'm really liking that new burlap ribbon I got at Michael's.  Brings the whole card together nicely.

Challenge #290 - Colour~For Being You Stampin Up

Well folks I tried and tried to take a nice picture of my card so that you could see it truly is a fresh fig purple background instead of looking like blue.  UGH❕ The frustration so I finally just chose the best one possible of all the images.   I really did try to stick with the colors in the challenge I will be submitting this card to:
I used my Sale-A-Bration For being you stampin up set that I just purchased, and as a thank you to the seller, I made this card for her.   I stamped the giant thanks multiple times in the suggested colors, and also the hearts.  I colored the center one in and layered it on a piece of deep purple paper.  It still didn't pop the way I had intended so I used the glossy accents on the letters and hearts to make them shine.  I like it much better that way.

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit.

TMS #471~Spirited Snowmen Stampin UP

So many things to do today.  We are going to try and pack up a couple rooms in the house, so the flooring can get ripped out to the logs, and then the rebuilding of a floor begins.  Hopefully by next week,  my dear man took off today to help me out with packing and such.    SO I worked quickly to make this card to enter it in the challenge at:
I used my Spirited Snowmen from Stampin up.  What a cute little set.  I love the edges of the images.  I think it's artsy looking.   I must admit that the inside snowman was suppose to be for the outside of the card, but he was so small next to the holly berry and leaves, that I chose to then stamp the bigger fella.  Looks much better that way.   Plus the little guy got to be included too.
I added some wink of stella to the berries, and then covered them with glossy accents.   The snowflakes on the top corner were punched in white, and I added a little pearl to each one, however it was hard to see them, so I punched them out again with the blue cardstock, and that gave them the pop I was looking for.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
