CTS #229~Eiffel Tower

I made another card today, and this one is for the challenge at: Case this Sketch
I used heart washi tape for my background.  I put it on white paper first and then cut it out.  I found it just looks better then if I had directly put it on the pink paper.  I then used two stamps from stamping up, and I'm not sure their name, but clearly it's the Eiffel tower.. there is some interesting facts if you click on that link.   I chose not to use an embossing folder this time, because the washi tape was already a bit busy, so I kept it clean and simple.
I also added one more picture of where I usually take pictures of my cards when the weather is nice.  I like how the colors pop against the background of the yard.
Thank you so much for stopping by.

TMR#64 ~Thankful Forest Friends

I made this card for The Male Room Challenge Blog  where we are to use texture and technique.

I used two pieces of card stock and did a bit of lattice folding on the top edge.  Not sure what it's called.  I then crimped my bottom layer of card stock to give it a corrugated feel.  I used , the stampin up set called Thankful Forest Friends.  Now for the bear I added some furry stuff,  I think it's called flock, but I don't quote me on that one.  I  think stampin up use to sell it a bazillion years ago, I just happen to still have some in my stash, but no label because it was a trial gift from a friend.  I tried to take a super close picture so you could see my furry little bear better.

I also added a picture of my Hound.. He's resting under the table as I was getting ready to type my blog.  What a cutie.  He's such a pal.
Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you will sign up and become a follower of my blog.  I'm so excited to reach 100 followers so I can have a drawing for a stamp set giveaway.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #410~Sunshine Sayings and Butterflies

 CONGRATUALTIONS!!!!
TUESDAY MORNING SKETCHES on 8 awesome years.  I've only recently come across this awesome blog challenge, and I'm loving it.  So without further ado.. here is my card that I will enter today.

I used a 2003 Stampin up set, Round and about to frame my die cut butterflies that are from sunshine sayings.  The sentiment is also from the sunshine sayings set.   I added a bit of wink of stella to the wings and to the word, in *hope.. to give it some shimmer.   Then popped on a few pearls and drew on some butterfly antennae's.  I also used an embossing butterfly folder for the background.  Not to shabby.
I added a few pictures of our little 4th of July celebration in our yard, even  a video, let me tell you I had to contain my excitement with my squeals.  Gosh that's hard to do.  ooh.. and one last big shebang.. our neighbors up the road were  celebrating too.  Yay.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog.
I hope you will sign up to follow.    When I reach 100 followers I will be having a drawing for a stamp set giveaway.

Challenge #63 - Theme~It's a Celebration

Well my goodness, I made two cards already today, and then as promised I stopped by a few blogs for some "meet and greet" time.  Then it all came to a quick stop, when I came across the theme  at: The Male Room Challenge .  The perfect opportunity to make another 4th of July card.
So as you can see I went right to work.  I used the stamp set called It's a Celebration from Stampin UP.  I think it turned out nice.  I added the other more blurry picture too, in hopes that you can see all the sparkle in the fireworks.  I used clear wink of stella, and it's spectacular.  Gives the card a real sparkler kind of firework feeling.  I also added the star brads to the center and a few silver ones too.  Thank you so much for stopping by.
Please remember to sign up and follow my blog, when I reach 100 followers I will be having a drawing for a lovely stamp set.  Also take a browse around my blog and see a few of my other cards.

#GDP094~This Little Piggy

Yippee, look what came in the mail today, my new stamp set.  Gosh there are so many to choose from I wish I could have one of everything, that would be a dream, but for now it's one at a time.  That makes the husband happy as to not breaking the bank.   So I didn't get to my meet and greet yet, but I'll work on that this evening.  I just had to enter one more challenge today and this one is at: Global Design Project and it's a fabulous sketch.   I tried many different ideas before this one stuck.  Like a pig in the mud. haha.   I used a little template to sponge the horizontal lines and then I stamped the little piggy directly on it and also on a spare white piece of card stock too, colored and cut him out and pasted him down.  I think he turned out rather cute.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  As usual I'd love to encourage you to sign up and follow my blog.  I'm aiming for 100 followers so I can have a drawing for a stamp set giveaway.  YAY!!
I am so thankful for my family of bloggers.

SSC156 TALL AND SKINNY SKETCH~Swan Lake

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.  It went by way to fast.  Hubby and I went to watch the fireworks last night.  I'll never get use to this town.  They always have the fireworks before the 4th of July, not to mention Halloween  is not celebrated on the day either until last year.  I don't know what is up with this city. .haha

Any ways It was a lovely weekend because my husband had the majority of it off.  I've been a bit anxious lately so it's good to have him here.  We (mostly Him) did some yard work but I did get to sit in my chair and enjoy some outdoor time.

So onto my card now.  I was quite intrigued by this challenge at: Sunday Stamps Tall and Skinny sketch.

I did a horizontal take on the sketch and instead of ribbon or twine  I "tied" the sentiment in with the paper strip border.  I  also tried to take a few pictures of the card, because I couldn't really capture the little pond glitter very well, it's dazzling with sparkles.  Oh and the little sequins are place very strategically over little blue accidentally splash marks. *sigh  It never fails for me to leave my "special" little homemade touches on the cards I make.
The stamp set is from Stampin Up Swan Lake.
Thank you so much to my new followers for making that big choice to follow me.  Gosh that's so sweet. 💓
I am so exiting to be one more closer to reaching my goal of 100 followers so I can have a drawing for a stamp set give away. YAY
Have a Great Day.  I will try to get to a few of your blogs today.

FMS294~4th of JULY and SCS

Hello All.  Today is my own little made up  blog theme challenge: SCS (Scripture Card Sunday)  So I tacked that card on the bottom.  I didn't use a scripture today but I thought this song was quite fitting in place of a verse.  I also used the same design as my first card which I'm submitting to the the challenge at: Freshly Made Sketches.

The Fourth of July card that I'm entering in the challenge was made with 2 single stamps from the Michael's store.  a bit of layering for the ole Red, White, and Blue, and some star washi tape for the narrow strip of paper.  I embossed the stars on the blue background and stamped multiple times the fireworks on the white cardstock. then layered it one more time with the sentiment.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
I  would love to have you follow my blog, when I reach 100 followers, I will be having a drawing for a free stamp set.  whoohoo.
