Card #3 for 2026

Dear blog reader, be careful what you wish for.
I was just thinking how'd I'd love to be well enough
to make my Valentine cards.  well~My dear dad asked
me for a "handful" of heart cards to take to
the nursing home residents.   So I didn't want
to let dad down.  I just made them simple so
I didn't have any layers, but I think they turned
out festive.  I included a picture below.

Now for my primary card on top.  I will enter this in the challenge
The stamp sets I used are from stampin up:
Watercolor shapes
Ready to pop
Valentine kisses

I started with by watercolor shapes, and when I stamped the
rectangle, I realized it was to short to fit the full size card.  Sigh❕
But I proceeded, by making the card smaller,
then I used the lovely vine from ready to pop around
the edges of the rectangles.  I stamped the darling bear and die cut
out his little kissing booth and there you have it.  I used a little
creative liberty in making this card, I just wanted to use this set
so badly and was going to find a way to make it happen.
Here is the "Handful" of cards for my dad
Patriot pup is keeping us busy.
Still chasing shadows with a toy.  His partner in mouth.
I must share a PRAISE report.  Thank you to all
who have prayed for me.  The past 6 months have
been so very difficult.
The test results came back from  the IV and liquid drink contrast
for my CT scan and the doctor was pleased.
No infection or abscess and no blockages.
Thank you JESUS❕
Now he said I can slowly add spicy food and fiber back in
my diet, but to go slow and listen to how I feel.  Nothing feels normal yet.
He said it will take many months for complete healing..
The ileostomy wound doesn't need to be packed anymore and  he said
that I will always have a dip in my tummy,
but it shouldn't be as big as it is presently.
As long as it all works on the inside.. I will get use to the scars.
Now we are waiting to hear back from the renal ultrasound.  Praying that
will be good news as well.  Trusting Jesus for it.
Thank you again to all you faithful prayer warriors.

The verses I chose for this card is:
2 Cor 3:12 NKJV
Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech—

Card #2 for 2026

Dearest blog readers, I'm making baby steps
in recovery, but have now encountered another
difficulty.  I had my renal ultra sound last Friday.
And tuesday I go for a ct scan with contrast.
Please will you pray that they can start an IV
with out any issues and no infiltration.   I'm
quite nervous.  but trusting GOD.
I wanted to make a card so bad, but it takes
quite a bit of movement and hurts but I'll get there.
I can't hardly wait to work on my Valentine cards.
I am most excited about that.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamp sets used in this card are:
Stampin up:
shapshot
brightest beauty
seasonal celebrations

When I decided to use the camera, I thought the lens on the camera
was a tad bigger to mimic the circle in the sketch.  Then next was the
leaves.. and that didn't look nice so I found a graduation tassel that worked
well for a camera handle and so I stamped that and cut it out. Lastly I
added the three embellishments and colored the lens with wink of stella
to make it sparkle.  It shows up better in the video.
a
Patriot pup was helping me play UNO with hubby.
He's a little concerned I might lose.  I let him know
it's all strategy .. wink.
The verse I chose for this card is the one
I've been clinging to recently
Deut. 31:8 NKJV
And the LordHe is the One who goes before you.
He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you;
do not fear nor be dismayed.”

Card #1 for 2026

Dear Blog readers,
Happy New Year!!
May God bless 2026 with healing and good heath to each of us.
I didn't quite feel well enough to start
making cards so soon, but I needed to make one for my dad.
Bless his lovely heart.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamp set I used is:
Stampin up:  Blessed Beginnings
I took a picture of underneath the stamped church
so I would make sure the church fit.  Well it didn't,
and yet I still decided to work with it.    I had a heck
of a time trying to cut and die cut the tiny pieces today.
However I like that the door and trees have a little texture
to them.  I added wink of stella to the windows and so
they sparkle so sweetly.  Like they are glowing.
I found this lovely sentiment below and thought I'd
share.  I've been reflecting on growing up since
I've been ill for the past 6 plus months.  I think I've been
humbled by this experience as God is teaching me
about love and forgiveness and letting go of bitterness,
I've come to a place of surrender. it's all I could do and I believe
that's exactly what He wanted me to learn.  So much more
to learn and I'm thankful for the opportunity to do it.
Patriot pup is sharing verses on instagram reels.
I just feel the need to do that more often. More
for myself perhaps than anything.  Keeping my
eyes on Jesus (Heb. 12:2)
The verse I chose for this card is:
Hebrews 10:25NKJV
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some,
but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
