ABC Christmas Challenges E, F and G ~ Snailed it, Gnome for the Holidays, Signs of Santa, Dove Of Hope, Stampin Up.

I made this fun little Christmas card for the
challenge at:
Theme:
E for Elves
F for Fir Tree
and
G for Garland
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Snailed It
Stampin Up:  Gnome for the Holidays
Stampin Up:  Signs of Santa
Stampin Up:  Dove of Hope
I turned the little snail into an elf.  How cute is
he carrying a load of gifts back to his, "fir tree house"
decked for the Holidays with lighted garland.
That santa hat fits him perfectly even with eyebrows.
I also love how those opal rounds look awesome on
the mushroom.

Sketch #413 Simply Succulents, So Sentimental Stampin Up

My goodness, my concentration is just gone.
Much like all the little animals in my yard.
Perhaps it's been the stress of no squirrels,
and birds, and also the fact our little HP has
been sick.   He is quite the rascal when it
comes to taking his medication.  Only a few more
days.  We have tried peanutbutter sandwiches,
hotdogs, cheese, etc.  He spits the pill out.
Then one day Robb was watching to make
sure it went down, HP wouldn't open his mouth,
and then spit it out later.  I found that if I
lay them on a potato chip he will eat them.
Perhaps the crunch of the chip masks the crunch
of the pill any ways I included a video.
What a little cutie.  I think he's spoiled.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this cards are:
Stampin Up:  So Sentimental
Stampin Up:  Simply Succulents
I was so excited to use my new stamp set.
I'm still learning how to use my new die.  It is
so grand.  I love plants, and I'm happy to announce
I now have a real succulent, "lola" .  I will
show a picture of her.
I have much to learn about these plants.
But oh what fun.
I sponged the card stock and then layered the
die cut piece on top, and started building from
there.  I like how bold the colors are.
I wish I knew how to get it to look more like
a stained glass piece, but I will learn.  I did
rip up many scraps and glue them down, but
it didn't look to nice.  SO I'll keep trying.
Well update on my health.  Went to the doctor
and apparently my overlapping autoimmune diseases
have now got me in quite the predicament.   As I'm just
been prescribed a blood pressure pill.  I had to have
an EKG it turned out ok this time.
I'm so thankful my daughter was with me.
Last time I was carted off to the hospital
by ambulance because it was crazy.  That didn't help my
anxiety.   They will be calling to schedule an echocardiogram.
Apparently these diseases attack the insides.  So just
praying it all goes well and my ole ticker will be fine.
I sure would appreciate extra prayers.  Thank you.
It's always something.  I tell ya it truly don't make
handling stress easier that's for sure.  So a lot on my mind.

Challenge 498~Beach Happy, Friends are Like Seashells, Sending Sunshine. Stampin Up

I made this fun tropical card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Beach Happy
Stampin Up:  Friends are Like Seashells
Stampin Up:  Sending Sunshine
I used a scrap piece of paper with a circle cut out,
so that I could stamp the center piece.   I then
stamped and cut out the chair, umbrella and
seashells.
I love how those little pearls sparkle like the
ribbon I chose for this card.
I drifted a little bit from the sketch, but hopefully
you can still see it in my card.
We have the most unusual thing happening in our
yard;  no birds, few squirrels, no rabbits, etc.
Even though we live in an industrial park
setting, we have a big yard, which
has always been a blessing to us.  It has
always been a lively place here, tons of
squirrels, rabbits, even had a ground hog, don't know
what happen to him, a turtle, which was quite bazaar, being
we have no creek by our home, we have had ducks, hawks,
and of course cats and mice, that live in the junk yard next door.
but for the past month or more.  NOTHING.. it's just barren and so
sad.  My husband filled our feeders, but nothing, we even
sprinkled popcorn and nuts on the ground for the squirrels
but that didn't work it's really distressing.  I don't know what happen.
So I'm looking for suggestions on what to do?  and why do
you think this happened?   I will mention that we had a little red
squirrel that was quite mean, and I think he has terrorized the
yard, and now nothing will come visit.  If that is even possible.
Any ways, just hoping for some answers and the return of
all my little friends.  HP and I enjoy watching them
from the window.

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #412 ~ Guest Designer

I can't believe this is my last week as the guest
designer.  Thank you so much to everyone at
CAScolours & Sketches.  It has been a wonderful
experience.  I had so much fun.
The sketch challenge is exciting.  I can't wait
to see what all you creative card makers come up with.
CAScolours & Sketches
The stamp sets featured in my card today are:
Stampin Up:  Music From the Heart
Stampin Up:  So Sentimental
I wanted to do something a bit different to show
some options with this lovely sketch.
So I chose to tilt it on it's side and went with
a rectangle for the center.  I think you can still
see the basic sketch in this card.
I decided to use multiple staves or (staff)  for the
three columns in the sketch.  To create a musical
background, for the piano and sentiment.
I kept it quite simple and didn't add too many
notes, because I thought it might distract from the
center image.   I also like the clean look of
black and white.  There is something classy about it.

Wow, that was the perfect segue into talking about my
black and white HP.  haha.  Thank you to everyone for
all the concern and love.  He is doing a bit better.
He goes for a recheck this Friday.  He's still
struggling with ear infections.  Hopefully, this
new vet will listen to us and have him go back on
the medicine he is use to.  But very happy to say
that his paw is getting better.  Praise the LORD.
This is him on Sunday, no donut collar but tired out.
 He had a busy weekend.
He went for a ride and got to go see our daughter
and son in law, and also a little drive down to
see gpa.  Both HP and I were beat.  He slept
like a baby, I did not.  haha.  I usually don't after
a big day.  The pain is just a little more intense.
But it's always worth it to get out of the house
for a few hours.
Again I just want to say thank you for letting me
be the guest designer at CAScolours & Sketches,
it's been a fabulous time.
Happy Stamping.

Sketch #412~ Dragonfly Garden, A Touch Of Ink, Daisy Lane, Stampin up

I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Dragonfly Garden
Stampin Up:  A Touch of Ink
Stampin Up: Daisy Lane
I started by making the background.  My own DSP I suppose.
I used the touch of ink stamp set to do this.  It was the
stamp that is suppose to be for the leaves in that set.
I stamped off a couple times before applying it to
the card stock, to give it a lighter color.
Originally I wanted to use the dragonfly, but
he seemed to small to me for this sketch.
So I went back to butterflies and this time I used my
silicone pad to help me do the mirror image stamping.
I think it turned out pretty neat.  I finished it off with
a daisy, and I love the center embellishment.  Just pops.
I also, wanted to quick mention. the inside flower doesn't
match and the only thing I can say is, I already stamped
and cut it out and was too tired to make it match the front.
I figured, perhaps because it is yellow it will work ok.
HP is doing better, his paw is healing and i think
his ears too.  I'm so grateful for friends, that told us
about the air donut ring.  Oh my gosh this new vet
said to put him in a cone, he went crazy, and then
despondent.  So sad, it was like he felt punished because
he was ill.  Which made me sad, and so it has
been a long week.  But praise the LORD for this
ring, it lets his floppy ears hang out and doesn't scare
him, and a bonus for me is my legs will heal.  He had been
ramming me with that cone, so I developed quite a few
blue marks.  now he just bounces off me.   Now as much
as I recommend this I will say he still was able to reach
that back paw to lick, but it took a lot more effort on his part.
but otherwise so very pleased with it.   Just wish the little
guy will feel better quickly.

Now for my health update:  I go back to the doctor on
Tuesday  to talk over some help with the raynauds  the hands
are no longer just white but going purple/black it's quite alarming,
which I imagine does not help the situation.  The lupus, and crest
syndrome are a mess, but we press on.   I did get some turmeric
drops that is suppose to help with inflammation.  Has anyone
else ever tried that?    Thank you for caring.

I'm having so much fun making stories on instagram and putting things
to music.  Just makes me smile.

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #411~ Guest Designer

Oh this was a fun card to make for the challenge at:
I didn't have the ink color, so saffron, so I used daffodil
delight in it's place.  I'm happy to say I had pear pizzazz
and Mango melody.
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Nothing's Better Than
I added a little glossy accents to the cocktail
to give it the authentic look of liquid, and a
touch of clear wink of stella to the lemon and
the umbrella for a little sparkle.
I like how summery it looks, a nice tall refreshing
glass of lemonade cocktail.  Delicious.
This past weekend, was quite exciting. In not a
fun way.  Our little pal HP had to go to the vet
on Saturday, and is now wearing a cone, the first
time ever.  Oh my gosh He is unhappy.  He won't
lay his head down, so I had to help prop it up
for him, he won't go to the bathroom with this on,
he won't play with his toys, he's quite depressed.
Poor little guy has to have this on for two weeks.
So thankful for friends who told us about a little
air donut, so we purchased that for 15 dollars,
and hopefully it gets here fast, last night was a long
night for us all.  We took him for a drive on Saturday
and that seemed to help him calm down a bit.
then stopped off and got him a small dish of vanilla
ice cream.  He enjoyed that.

#TGIFC307~ Friends are Like Seashells, Crackle Paint, Stampin Up.

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Friends are like Seashells
Stampin Up:  Crackle Paint
I chose to use soft colors for this card today.
The crackle background gives it a unique look.
The sentiment just so squeezed into the proper
place to match the sketch in the challenge.
Did you notice the little pearls on the card?
