FMS496~Garden Birdhouses, Stampin up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Garden Birdhouses
I was inspired by the birdfeeders in my yard.
I love watching the birds and squirrels
come to the feeders.  So entertaining.
I only have two bird houses.  I think my husband
should be able to use this stamp set as a model
for the next time he builds me a birdhouse.
This card came together so nicely.  I love
it when that happens.
These pictures aren't the best because I was
taking them where the screen is on my window.
My sunflowers all got toppled after Wednesday
night's storm.  But the little yellow finch is
still happy with them.
I did eventually get them all supported, it
was a hard job and I braved the bees to do it.
I was stung a week ago, and did my old faithful
home remedy, but the weird thing is a week
later just like hubby. we had big swelling and itching
I've not ever had such a long delayed reaction
Have you heard of such a thing?
A few pictures of these lovely sunflowers.

Sketch #431~Tidings and Trimmings, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Tidings and Trimmings
When I first saw the sketch I thought of the
old game Railroad Rush hour.
Have you ever heard of it?
Well it sent me searching online, and apparently
there is only traffic rush hour.  But I imagine
still fun.   We just seem to always gravitate
to the train stuff, being we live next to a rail yard.
I had a fun time making this card.  I love the
sketch.  It reminds me of weaving.
I will tell you that it took and embarrassingly
long time for me to find placement for that
star and it's little branches.  I was going to
include the stocking on the front too, but
it took up too much space, and I couldn't see
the pattern nicely.  Well in the end I am
happy with how it turned out, at least
for the most part.
Well, I'm happy to say we pulled our
son's car up to the garage.  Praying that
after they install the electronic module it
will be ok.   I love doing stuff like this.
Short story:  I grew up helping my dad in
the garage all the time.  It was my favorite
thing to do.  I started working at a parts store
when I was 18.  I just love cars and trucks.
As you can see both vehicles are in rough
shape, but it's ok.  We aren't a rich family
but if they run it's a blessing.  So we are
very fortunate that the truck has the
get up and go to still pull.  anyways, hubby
thinks I pull too fast. haha.   I'm also thankful
that I can still drive, with as much stuff as
I can't do, driving makes me feel "normal"
I mean I can't drive for too many hours
or I'll be in trouble.  But for short trips
I LOVE it.
I tried to get a picture of the little olds,
my sweetheart used the chains to to
pull.  I feel more comfortable with that
rather then the straps.  Perhaps it's just what I
grew up using.  In fact those chains are my dad's

Another fun fact about my love for cars and trucks.
I met my love (husband)at the race tracks.  I'm a city
kid and he a farm boy, but we met at the race tracks.
31 Years ago this August.

#FF0001~High Tide, After the Storm, Water Front, Stampin Up

I made this card for a challenge that is new to me.
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  High Tide
Stampin Up:  After the Storm
Stampin Up:  Water Front
I had no idea there is a National Light House day.
How fabulous.
I chose the red, blue, and light house to use in my card.
I have been practicing nice clean spaces on my cards
lately  But today as you can see, I veered off that
path and went straight to overload.  Oh
gosh,  I covered every spare inch with ink today.
At least I kept the inside simple.
I really wanted to add a whale in the water,
but didn't have such a stamp.  Then I remembered
I did, but it was huge, so it wouldn't work.
I am so excited to have found another challenge to play
along with.  It's such a great way to connect
with other card makers.

Stampin Up:  Cutest Halloween
This DSP is fa(boo)lous too.

I love stamp sets that have coordinating punches.

I added the spider too, it just seems
right with the haunted house DSP.

Sketch #430~Nuts About Squirrels, Stampin Up

I just knew I'd have to purchase this cute squirrel set.
I have such a good time watching these little critters
in our yard.  They make me laugh.
They love our black walnut tree, and are quite helpful
in planting news ones everywhere.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Nuts about Squirrels.
Isn't that little squirrel adorable?   I love his little paws
on the acorn.   That sentiment is something I would
always say to my kiddos when they were little.
It took me a few tries to get it all lined up.  Had to put
the reading glasses on to make sure I could see what I
was doing.  Sometimes I really have to hover over a
stamped image quite a bit before actually adding the
colored section of it down.   Hope that makes sense.
I then fussy cut the images out and proceeded
to glue them all down.
It kind of looks like I chose fall colors, but they
caught my attention today, so I went with it.
I think it turned out cute. Mr. Gray Squirrel
really stands out with a few dimensionals.
I'm including a few pictures, of the
squirrels playing in our yard today.
They are a bit blurry.  But the little
rascals are all over.
Health News:  I'm having a bit of trouble again
with the blood pressure.  and breathing is
getting difficult on somedays.  Now
my left foot is turning hard.  So it's been
a bit painful lately.  Just when a gal
thinks that the holistic clinic was the answer
things start going crazy again. (sigh)  Any ways,
the raynauds is acting up and so it looks like
we are back at square one.
I mention this all just to ask for more prayers
please, and to keep you all updated.  You've all
been so kind to me.  I have a specialist appointment
coming up Aug. 19th.  So hopefully, praying he
will be able to give me some extra help.  How to
control these autoimmune diseases better.

I've stressed myself out over our house painting project.
It really shouldn't be so hard to pick a color, but
for me it truly is.  I will share a picture.
Please note that our little 945 square foot home
has two rooms that are connected.  So, we paint
them the same.  I love dark rich colors.  It has been
indigo blue, hunter green, and lastly we put a chair rail
up with burgundy under it and a little neutral on top.
Well after watching some gals on the instagram I thought
I needed to try a white space.  Well folks, it's brighter,
but it looks cluttered now.  Just imagine all the furniture
back by the white part.  It just seems too busy.  I
Would love to hear some of your suggestions please.
Sorry for such a long Post.

HSSSC385~Delicate Dahlias, Plentiful Plants, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Delicate Dahlias
Stampin Up  Plentiful Plants
I flipped the sketch up vertical, so I could use
sentiments in the strips.
I knew I'd want this dahlia set because I think
they are gorgeous flowers, I will share a
few pictures of the dahlias blooming in my
yard this summer.
I love that little heart embellishment, I think
it worked perfectly on there.  So I could
keep the strips of card stock the same size.
I'm also so happy I got to use my new layering
circle dies.  I waited years before finally
making this big purchase.  I love them.
What are your favorite flowers in the summer?
I would say mine are daisy, sunflower, and dahlias.
I have not ever had them grow this tall though.
They are a show stopper this year.
