FMS420 Meant To Be Stampin Up, Happy Valentine's Day, Square Card

I made two of these cute 5 x 5 square Valentine cards for my kiddos.   I think they will get a kick out of the puns.  We are a pizza loving family here, so it just fits well for our bunch.

The stamp sets featured in this card are:

Stampin Up: Meant To Be (the dies)

The pizza stamp and sentiments are from Michael's  it was a cheaper stamp set, and a bit difficult to work with.  If I pressed to hard with the acrylic blocks, it would make the image fuzzy, so I stuck the stamps on my stamparatus and used that to create a darker look with out becoming to blurry.

I will submit this card to the challenge at:

TMS #539~Meant To Be, Sure Do Love You, Bonanza Buddies, Stampin Up, Happy Valentine's Day

I made this card for the challenge at:

I was so excited to play with my new stamp set, and yet at the same time wanted to make another Valentine card, so I decided to combine the two.

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Meant To Be
Stampin Up:  Sure Do Love You
Stampin Up:  Bonanza Buddies

I die cut each of the white hearts behind the cute little fellas then I sponged some red ink around the sides.   I gave each of the  characters a heart to hold on to.

Sketch #353~ Bonanza Buddies, Here For You, Stampin Up

Well, it's happening again folks.  I'm not receiving email notifications of all the lovely comments people leave on my blog.  OOH the frustration.  I don't know why this happened all of a sudden, perhaps a computer update?  All I know is I miss my emails.   If any of you fine folks now how to fix this, please let me know.  I will make sure to visit this post to see if I get any comments regarding this.  (again) I am beginning to sound like a broken record.

Well today I made this fun card(s) for my two kiddos. Hopefully to cheer them up Bless their hearts they are both very sick right now.  My son was in the hospital, and we went down to take him a care package, and now my daughter is sick.  They swabbed for that awful virus, and  decided it's the flu.  I pray they both get well quickly.   Even though they are both adults, I guess in a mama's heart they will always be our babies. 💗

I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Here For You
Stampin Up:  Bonanza Buddies

I'm also including a picture of HP.  He received a gift to play with, and the little rascal had it ripped to pieces in about 4 minutes.  We watched him to make sure he didn't swallow or choke on the little pieces.  As you can see in the picture he has a nice thick winter fur coat.  It's so soft when it's this long, just a lot of work in the house, with all the shedding.

I will submit this card to the challenge at:

I chose to work with the colors: red, pink, and vanilla.

Sketch #352~Heartfelt, Bloomin' Love, Stampin Up, Stampendous, Love Always, Happy Valentine's Day

Well I blew it today.  After almost 24 days of no cheese I gave in.   Hubby and I had pizza tonight.   Drats.  Now I'll have to start all over.   I went on this little cheese free adventure hoping that would help calm the inflammation in my body down.  But being I can't get in until the end of June for my doctor, and few other stress factors going on in my life, I caved in and had some.  Now I'll be riddled with guilt tomorrow I'm sure.  That's how things like this go.

Tomorrow is it folks.  I must work on and complete the wedding invites for my friend.  I can't wait to share pictures with you all.

Today's card is another Valentine.  I must add them to my Etsy shop. I really need to work on cleaning out a few of my stamps too.  Such a difficult task, it never fails the moment I sell one, I wish I had it back.

Today's card features the following stamp sets:

Stampin Up:  Heartfelt
Stampin Up:  Bloomin' Love
Stampendous:  Love Always

I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:

Gosh these triangles were hard for me to master.  Much scrap paper was put to the test, with little success.  Finally I just gave up because I knew the patterned paper was not going to line up.  I just don't have the measuring skills needed for the task.  But I sure do love making cards so I keep trying.

#TGIFC247~ You've Got This, Sip Sip Hooray, Happy Birthday To You, Stampin Up

Oh gosh I love how sparkly this picture turned out, it almost makes it look like a real martini, with that glossy accents on the inside and the twinkling diamonds floating over the top of the glass.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:

Stampin Up:  You've Got This
Stampin Up:  Sip Sip Hooray
Stampin Up:  Happy Birthday To You

I created the lovely gray background with a stamped image  so the martini would really pop in color and not blend into the white card stock.    I think it has a very sophisticated look.  That is what I was going for since it will be for my Husband's cousin's birthday.
I wanted to raise a glass as to say cheers for 50 years.  May God bless you with many more.

Thank you for stopping by for a vist.

PP474~ Beautiful You, Birthday Background, In This Together, Stampin Up

I made this "fashionable" card for the fun challenge at:

The Stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Beautiful You
Stampin Up: Birthday Backgrounds
Stampin Up:  In This Together

After stamping Miss. Fancy.  I colored and then did a bit of fussy cutting  I thought she'd look swell off to the side, but it still needed a little something, so hence the background.  It reminds me of the press taking snapshots of the famed and fortunate Miss. Fancy.

I enjoyed making this card and really wish I had some wink of stella to add a tad of sparkle  to the bursts behind her, but alas my marker has run dry.

Challenge 440 Sip Sip Hooray, Stampin Up, Happy Birthday

I'm old school here.  No smart phone (yet)  just can't work that into our one income budget.  So I'm thankful for my camera, HOWEVER,  notice that word is all in caps there to emphasize the frustration I have when I need to upload my pictures to the computer and the computer tells me nope, not having it..  GRRRR the frustration sets in.  I can get myself quite angry over this, and it's a daily battle.  My goodness, I get all tense just waiting for this to load and waiting for the never fail popup to say, uploading failed. Insert heavy sigh.   I think, on a phone it's just easier, take a fabulous picture, then post away to blogs, instagram, fb etc.  Someday I will enjoy that luxury.  At least I'm hoping.   Well for now Praise the LORD I got the pictures loaded.
I've been busy working on cards, instead of the invites for my friends wedding.
So I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Sip Sip Hooray

I used both the word and the sketch for my card.
I thought why not a celebration card, and "wet the whistle"  with a little martini to wish someone a Happy Birthday.

Thank you for listening to my rant up there.  I hope I didn't sound ungrateful. Just sharing as I like to say.

CTS #355~Heartfelt, Forever Lovely, Heart Happiness, Gorgeous Grunge, Stampin Up

I am working at finding creative ways to use up some of my paper scraps, and DSP.  This was a lovely challenge to incorporate such an idea.  So I will submit my card to:

I also love the idea of challenging myself to less is more, yet still packing a punch with the card, to make it look fantastic.
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Heartfelt
Stampin Up:  Forever Lovely
Stampin Up:  Heart Happiness
Stampin Up:  Gorgeous Grunge

I think my favorite part about this card is actually the inside.  I love how the hearts are the perfect backdrop for the sentiment.   I will have to make sure to do this on the front of one of the Valentine's Cards I make this year.

SSC222 HAVE A BANNER OF A TIME!~Meant To Be, Stampin Up

I've been working on Valentine Day cards the past few days.  I've included a picture of what I've come up with so far.

Today's card I made for the challenge at:

The Stamp set Featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Meant To Be

I have been using up older DSP and these lovely strips are a great way to do this, and adds a pop of color to the card.   As you can see in the other cards I created I carried that theme with them too.  If you want to see them closer just scroll down my blog.

I'm going to try and make a few more Valentine cards and then add them to my Etsy Shop.  I'm also thinking about adding  a few stamp sets that I don't use anymore.  I hate to part with them.  But I do believe it's time.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

TMS #537~Sure Do Love You, Heart Happiness, On To Adventure, Stampin Up, Love Always Stampendous, Happy Valentines Day

It's a winder wonderland here again in Wisconsin   Last night and early this morning we received about 7 inches  of snow.   Well only about 5 more months of this nonsense and then it will be summer.  My favorite season.

Today I made this card for the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:

Stampin Up;  Sure Do Love You
Stampin Up: Heart Happiness
Stampin Up:  On To Adventure
Stampendous:  Love Always

What a combination of sets.   I love how the sentiment on the inside seems so fitting for the adorable little woman on the front. Love continues to grow with age.   Even though in that set she is striking her yoga pose, I thought it would be cute if she were holding a heart.  I literally used string for "heart strings"  which is a reference to one's deepest feelings of love or compassion.  *I had to look that up 😉

Sketch #351~Heartfelt, Heart Happiness, Stampin Up, Happy Valentine's Day

The card I made today I will submit to the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Heartfelt
Stamping Up:  Heart Happiness

What a lovely weaved sketch.  Makes me want to do the whole background with it.  It gives such nice depth to the card.   I'm grateful for the gals that come up with the sketches.

I've been on the phone today quite a bit with our insurance company and then also the doctor's office.  They want to refer me to a  "rheumatologist".  They did but I can't get in until the 15th of June, and my doctor said that's not fast enough and  perhaps a different city would get me in faster, so that's where we are at right now, waiting for the referral team to contact me. So we wait, and in the waiting, I shall stamp  and read. The two escapes from my troubles.  😊

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Week 359: REPEAT ~On To Adventure, Golfing

I made this card today for the challenge at:

The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  On to Adventure

The cue card word is "repeat"  and I thought perhaps golfing would illustrate that word perfectly.  Practice makes perfect "they say"  so we must repeat, and keep on practicing for that hole in one.  Believe me I'm no expert.  I've only played mini golf, However, I suppose the principle still applies.

CTS #354.~Heartfelt, Very Versailles, Stampin Up, Stampendous, Love Always, Happy Valentine's Day Mouse

I love mixing older stamps with new.   The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up: Heartfelt
Stampin Up: Very Versailles
Stampendous Love Always
and last but not least, and certainly the little star of this card, the Mouse stamp, which happens to be a stampin up item, however, I purchased it at a second hand shop and it didn't come in a set.  If you know the name of the set, please let me know.

I will submit this card to the challenge at:

I suppose you can say I paper pieced the heart with the matching card stock on the side.   The light background behind Miss. Mousy reminded me of an old time love letter .     There was indeed a lot of fussy cutting, right down to that little flower in the corner of the heart, but it was worth it.  Absolutely adorable.

TMS #536~ Kind Koala, Painter's Palette, Heartfelt, Happy Valentine's Day

I made this card for the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:

Stampin Up:  Kind Koala
Stampin Up:  Painter's Palette
Stampin Up:  Heartfelt

I did a little splash work on the artist's canvas to give a bit of background for Mr. Koala.  I added a little sparkle bling to the center of the flower, and some sparkly twine behind the sentiment.

I'm  pleased to say that both packages of eggplant card stock have arrived, and I will now start putting together the invites for my friend's wedding.   I'll be sharing pictures in future posts.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
