Challenge #251 - Sketch~You are my Sunshine

Oh my goodness, can you believe it's not a Christmas card from me?  Don't worry though, I stamped my planner for Dec.  I might have went a bit overboard with it, I tend to do that sometimes.  The Holly Jolly gets the best of me, by golly.  🎄
So this morning I made this card for the challenge at:
I used my sunshine die from stampin up and cut it once in yellow and once in black to add a little shadow so the word popped a bit more.   The sunbeam image is from mama elephant called my sunshine.
I will now show you my very busy looking planner for the month of December.   Be warned I used a lot of washi tape too, besides stamps.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #431, Challenge #151 ~ Anything Goes, It's Only Paper Card Challenge, Challenge 34

I'm so excited to share this card with you today. I think it is one of my favorites I've made so far.    The little penguin is from a lawn fawn set called Here we go a waddling as is the sentiment and lamp post.  After coloring it all in and cutting it out, I had to figure out the placement.. because the sentiment was a long one I just masked it off  so I could ink sections at a time and squeeze it in by the lamp post.  As I was stamping this  card, I was thinking of this song.  Imagining the little penguin just a singing while he strums his guitar.   I really like the layers I created for this card.  I am going submit it to a few challenges.
This week the challenge is ...
Anything Goes

It's Only Paper Card Challenge

Our theme for the new challenge is
"Anything Goes"

And as promised here is my daughter's wedding invite that I've been working on. The back side will have a wax seal for closure.

Challenge #183 Reindeer

I made this adorable card for the challenge at: Cardz 4 Guyz where they are having a reindeer challenge.   So I thought this cute little trio would do the job perfectly, at least for the younger gentlemen in the family.  I combined 3 (must be the key number today) stamp sets.
1~Here we go a waddling from Lawn Fawn
2~North Pole Pales from Avery Elle
3~Carols of Christmas (the dies) from Stampin up.

A bit of coloring and a lot of fussy cutting, right down to their little jiggle bells,  but well worth it.
Thank you so much for stopping by.

#GDP115 & FUSION - Red Christmas ~ Holly Berry Happiness Painted Harvest

Well I tried to put up some Christmas decorations, and then came the lights.   There is always a strand of lights that decides to pose a problem for me.  haha.. so I switched gears and went back to card making.
I searched for a few challenges to enter.

I used the Painted Harvest and Holly Berry Happiness from stampin up to make this card.  The letters are from Michael's and I can't believe the size difference between the J & Y..  UGH!  any ways I cut them out after stamping them, and I also cut a piece of black card stock out too, so I could give them a bit of a shadow.  I love that little bow from Holly Berry Happiness.  I use it for so many different cards.  I added the washi tape to make it sparkle.  It still bothers me about the "y" being so small.  But then I am reminded of the acronym I learned in Sunday School.
J-Jesus
O-Others
Y-Yourself
SO perhaps the "y" is small to keep us humble.  😉
Thank you for visiting.

November TAGplorations Challenge - All About Gratitude~ Cocoa in a Stocking

Are you all busy enjoying the "cyber Monday deals?"   I tell ya it never ceases to amaze me how things can get so nuts in a hurry.  Meanwhile I'm just on my porch stamping away the day, trying to forget my troubles.  And what better way then with another challenge.  So I'm going to submit my tag card  to Stamplorations where in this challenge it's all about tags with gratitude, with an optional twist of polka dots.

I think that little mouse is absolutely darling peeking out of the stocking.   Now I wish I would have added a candy cane beside him.  That would have been adorable.   Cocoa the mouse is from a sweet n sassy set.   The sentiment is from stampin up.
I do believe I will put the stamps down for a bit so I can take the Thanksgiving window clings down and start putting up the Christmas ones.  Hubby brought the window box upstairs for me.  So very helpful. 💑

November CAS Card Challenge~ Jolly Christmas

Hello Monday Blog readers.   Today I started off by visiting a blog called:  Stamplorations and was delighted to find a few different challenges.  I'm going to submit this card to the Cas Challenge
This was so very difficult to keep it CAS.  I wanted badly to add another layer or 3, and also add a few dabs of pearl drops around the oval, then embossing folders popped into my head (gasp) I was out of control,  But I played by the rules.  And chose to keep it clean and simple, while using the optional color twist.  I honestly think it looks very nice and quite masculine.  Perhaps I can send it to one of the deer hunters in the family.   They can keep believing in their deer stories, as to who shot the biggest buck.
Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit.
Hope you will want to sign up and follow my blog.  I can't believe that I now have 80 followers on my fb page.  Super exciting,  I just have to get my blog to catch up.
*Also a quick note to my faithful friends.  I'm so sorry I didn't get a SCS posted yesterday.  I will get it done next Sunday.

Just Us Girls #421 & RRCB76 Snow Angels

I can laugh about it now.  I suppose you might be wondering about what?  I'll explain:  I had a complete melt down trying to take this card's picture.  I mean it was like the world was coming to an end or something.  My gosh after about 20+ shots I just gave up, and  thought I will explain  the best I can what that background looks like.  It actually reminds me of  a Husky dogs eye color.
I refer to the color as in ice blue.   So you "see"  haha~  it's not gray really at all up there, but a nice blue to go along with the challenge at: Just Us Girls
And now that I look at the challenge again it seems like I should have used a color with more of a green tint. (sigh) Well I incorporated the snowmen and then mittens to make it a cozy little scene.   I do believe this is another first for me today.  As in first time submitting a card to this challenge above.
I'm also going to  submit this card to the challenge at: Retro Rubber Challenge Blog
Because I pulled out my Stampin up  Snow Angels from 1999.  I love using those oldie but goldies (retros) .  Especially the ones that had the little boy and girl in it, as does this one.  It reminds me of my kids.  I had a fall (Autumn) one but sold it many years ago, so many times I wish I still had it.  Perhaps I'll have to search ebay for it.   So back to the card.   I die cut out the mittens an embellished them with pearl drops around the edge and cut a little white piece of paper for the cuff of the mitten.  I then punched out a snowflake and added a pearl to the center.  After I stamped and colored the snowman and little girl, I cut them out to place them on top of the mittens but it didn't look very nice, so I tucked them behind the mittens.  MUCH better.  The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn and fits fabulously there.   By the way, those mittens remind me of a toddler with their hands stretched out running to help build the snowman, always the helpful ones.💜

HLS November CAS Challenge ~Christmas

Gosh, I was so excited to play with this Lawn Fawn set, but I couldn't find a Christmas challenge (gasp) that it would work with.  So I'm taking my chances here and not using any background paper or embellishments and hopefully it will be suitable for the challenge at: Happy Little Stampers
I do believe this is the first time I've played along with this challenge.  whoohoo 🙋 (my high five gal)
I tried to keep everything directly in the middle to offer white space around the little scene I created.
It was an intense amount of coloring🖍 and cutting but that's what I do.  It might sound elementary, but it's my happy place.  That little sweet puppy dreaming of his bone is just too much.  Reminds me of HP all curled up on his dog bed.   The plate of cookies for Santa to remind him of what a good boy he's been.   awww sweet 😉

Merry Monday #266 {Santa Claus} & Tic Tac Toe Challenge #25

  Happy Sunday to you all.
I will post my SCS later.  I think it's going to be another day of stamping here.  Plus, I have to work on the one card I've been dreaming about making since  yesterday.   I can't wait to give it a try.  But, then I remembered I had one other Santa so I wanted to make him first for the challenge at: Merry Monday
I also combined it with the

I chose the bottom row straight across.   I added both pictures because with the flash on you can really see the shimmer this blue card stock has.   This is a stampendous set called Christmas Visions.  I Love snow globes, and this darling little set has 4 different images you can stamp inside.  I'm sure you can use any small stamp in your collection to fit.   I kept the card simple, no shaker, or anything like that.  For some reason every time I do a snow globe, I think it should be a shaker card.  Any ways a bit of coloring and cutting and there ya have it.
I also included a picture of my homemade pumpkin pie that I made for our Daughter's Fiance on Thanksgiving, along with the pudding parfaits that we all enjoy.
Thank you so much for stopping by.

Challenge #269 - Clean and Simple~ Christmas Mouse

Perhaps it's because I didn't stamp for two  whole days, that I'm making up for it today?  haha.  But seriously it is mostly because it's a way of escape  from the pain.  Hence the 4th card today, this one is super simple and sweet.  I might also add timely, being that just last nice we found evidence of a mouse in the pantry.  GRRR.. Need I say more?  I doubt it.
So this little darlin' mouse on the card is a much more welcome critter.  I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
I have the most difficult time with one layer cards, the amount of trial and error I go through to come up with one little simple card is quite astonishing.  I mean good golly, it's the placement of the focal point, it's the sentiment and how to sneak it in close, it's the colors,  YIKES>> about 8 tries later and finally a card.  Needless to say I'm still not  100% wowed by this one.  But it fits the clean and simple bill. 😉
Thank you so much for stopping by.  I can't wait to show you the card I have in my plans for tomorrow.  I'm super excited about stamping it.  Just a bit tired out now, so I'm going to step away from the stamp desk.  Also, I didn't forget, I will be posting the wedding invites for you to see soon.

FMS314 & Challenge 33 ~Thanksgiving

Well folks my third card today is a thanksgiving card.  Because I really wanted to enter the following challenges:

Our theme for the new challenge is "Thanksgiving"

So I combined the two, and used my new stamp set that I got from the Christian book store today.  Finally a cornucopia that I can color in that is not to "muddled"  as my daughter says.  😊 I then used washi tape for the checkered background to match the checkered die cut circle.  The leaves are die cut also, and the top washi tape serves as my sentiment.
I suppose I can get a head start on next years Thanksgiving cards.  Oooh and I got the cutest little turkey stamp and sentiment that says, "Happy Turkey Day" for only 4 dollars.  Gosh he's adorable.
Thank you for stopping by.

Merry Monday #266 {Santa Claus}

Do you see a theme going here?  This is card number 2 for today and I used my left over candy cane paper from the previous card.  However, I think it works swell for Santa too.  I am going to submit this card to the challenge at:
I used three different stamp sets to complete this lovely Christmas card.   Stampin UP's Cozy critters for the two little gifts that Santa is holding.    Merry Little Labels for the sentiment from stampin up.. and then the star of the card:  Santa~which is from Avery Elle  North Pole pals.  I think it turned out so cute.  A little coloring and fussy cutting, but it was well worth it.

SCCC ~CCC #26 Labels to Love Scentsations Season Candy Canes

I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving day with family and friends.   We sure did, even with the kids busy schedules, they were all able to come home, we missed having our Son's girlfriend here.  And I forgot to take pictures.. GASP.  I guess I will get my camera ready for Christmas.  😉
I have not stamped in TWO whole days.  YIKES.   I thought I might have lost the "stampin' touch" with my little break here.   But what better way to get back into the program then with a Christmas card.. my favorites.   So I decided to play along with

It's so sad that this will be their last Challenge they offer.   I hope you all get a chance to play along.  I will truly miss their blog.
A little  bit about the card I made for today.
I stuck closely to the inspiration card by using  candy canes from my Scentsational Season stampin up set. I think they have the cutest candy cane.  I also used Labels to Love from stampin up, for the sentiment tag.  I added a bit of ribbon and pearls to give the card a little character and make it pop.  I added a shadow behind the candy cane and the tag with the deep red card stock.  I really like how nostalgic looking it turned out with the background paper.  Thank you for stopping by.

#tttc024 & SUO Challenge #188 Christmas in the Making

I was inspired by two challenges today.

And a Challenge I have not ever played along with before.
                                                  SUO Challenges
SUO Challenge #188~Celebrate Winter Holidays
So with this card I used Stampin Up's Christmas in the making.   For the tic tac toe challenge I chose the left column down.  My angled approach is the embossed background,  I posted two pictures because you can see the shadow much better on the bottom card.  The Die cut is the squares that hold the sentiment which also is my "greeting"    I fussy cut out the Little Lady mailing her Christmas cards after I colored her with markers, water colored pencils and my aqua brush.  I then made a pile of snow for her to stand on, and so I have glitter absolutely everywhere now.  I thought what better way to "celebrate the winter Holidays" then by sending greeting cards.  Because after all we are stampers and that's what we do.  Oh one little oops on the card.. I don't know if I should tell ya, because after you see it.  I promise it will stick out like a sore thumb.
I forgot to add snow around the mailbox post.  UGH!!!!    And being the clock is ticking and I'm running short on time for the one challenge I'll submit it any ways.  See how noticeable it is now that I told you.
Thank you so much for stopping by.

SSC166 ALL LINED UP ~Merry MIce

First up : We have a new blog follower that joined the family. Image result for minion thank you
That makes my day.🙋  I appreciate the support.💜
Onto the card.  This one I made for the challenge at:
I used my Merry Mice from stampin up to create this card.  I had to stamp the image and then after coloring there was quite a bit of fussy cutting,  but I wanted to make sure each little mouse had his own square.  I put the sentiment below the squares as to not take away from the cute images.     I also embossed the background and added a bit of silver twine to give it some sparkle, which I followed through with the silver foil paper behind the sentiment. How ironic that after working on my mouse card today, I look out my living room window to see this gorgeous hawk looking in at me.. perhaps he saw my mice, and got a little hungry. 😉

FUSION - Grateful~Wondrous Wreath & SCS

I needed to make a thank you card for my parents, so I thought I'd take this opportunity to  also play along with Fusion Card Challenge

I used both the sketch and the photo for my inspiration for this particular card.  I pulled out my wondrous wreath image from stampin up.   It it a 3 step process but it turned out fabulous.  I really like the fall colors, with the hint of gold washi tape which accented the gold pearl in the middle of the bow.    I also embossed the bottom half of the card with leaves. Being that's it my SCS(Scripture Card Sunday)  I wanted to make sure to add a verse, so I put it on the inside of the card.
Well I'm off to make more wedding invites.  I can't wait to show you all how they have turned out.  I even had to change my cutting blade because of all the trimming and such.  I think they are so pretty.   Make sure to stop back in the next few days, and I should have them posted.

#tgifc134 ~Painted Harvest

I made this card for my son's girlfriend, so she could give it to her mom for thanksgiving.  I used my stampin up set called painted harvest.  I found this little charm in my stash and thought it was lovely for the card.  I put it on a brown piece of elastic like twine so she can clip it off and add it to a bracelet or necklace.  I think it might be a lily flower which symbolizes  humility and devotion. (I looked it up)  I tried to take a super close up so we could see it better.  I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at: TGIF Challenges
I invite you to look around my blog, and ask that you would sign up to follow me.  Thanks so much.

FMS313~Holly Berry Happiness & Seasonal Bells

I LOVE making Christmas cards.  This one I made for the challenge at:
I used stampin up's Holly Berry Happiness for the ivy leaves and bow  (the best little bow ever). Along with Seasonal bells.  I love the song silver bells. So I decided to emboss them with a silver sparkle. I  took a picture with the flash so you can see how they really shine.
The top picture is so dark it makes the background paper almost look like it's black, but it's a deep sparkle green which can be seen much better in the bottom picture.
Thanks for visiting today.
