Christmas Thank you Notes

I made this thank you card for a friend,
and then I made 2 more identical to it for
Christmas Thank you notes.
I will submit it to the challenge at:
The stamps sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Welcoming woods, Beary cute,
Wishing You well.
Well this card was quite the process, after cutting
out the circles, I then wish I had matted them, but used
my blue alcohol marker to dot the edges a bit to make
it look like stitches.  I stamped the wreath and fussy cut it
out.  I die-cut it first but it was a little too neat, and cut off some
of the stamping.  The bow and tree also had to be fussy cut.
This was a long sentiment that I masked with tape to
get it to fit in the middle.  I dressed up the tree with the same
sequin string as that which is below the sentiment.   For as much
work as this card was I am honestly not that impressed with it.
I started thinking how cute snowflakes would have been, or
even an upside down snowman, but I already cut out the DSP
and I didn't want to waste it.  So there it is.
We took HP for a little ride today.  He had
his vet appointment on Friday,  there are
no obstructions in his throat, the bumps
all over him are not causing him pain, we
can do a 400 dollar blood test to see if he
has a rare swallowing disease, but at this
point it's autoimmune related and the vet says
to keep doing what we are doing, making his
homemade dog food, and encouraging water,
he's not losing weight and looks good for
a 12 year old dog they said,   So we are
thanking the LORD he is a trooper, and
we are putting in the work to keep him going.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Ephesians  5:20KJV
Giving thanks always for all things unto God
and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Golden Birthday Card

I made this card for my beautiful daughter.
It is her "golden" birthday today.
December 27, 2023
Making the inside of the card with that
calendar is always a bit tricky.  I have to
make sure it's lined up and masked off so
as not to get all the other numbers.
I tried to use as much gold as possible for the
card, and I come to find out that pink didn't really
look good for the cheers glass, so I went with blue.
I really love how black and gold look, but didn't
want to make my daughter a black card, I wanted
something light and fresh looking.
I think the gold polka dots resemble that of a
bit of bubbly.  Perfect for a celebration card.
I thought the little photo below was perfect for her.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
Freshly Made Sketches
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Cheer to the season,
Number of years, Days to remember.

The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 20:4KJV
Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.

Christmas Eve Thank you

Merry Christmas Eve.
I wanted to make a quick thank you card
for my dad, so I went right to
to get an idea for a template basis.
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Welcoming woods, Gnome for
the Holidays, Decorated with happiness
I absolutely love the little cozy
cabin DSP.  Oh my gosh it's so great
I want to make something I can frame
it just makes me happy.
I did a bit of fussy cutting with everything,
but I do like how it turned out in the end.
My dad thinks gnomes are so funny.  Hence
the card for him.

I also made crocheted ornaments for the whole
family and they will serve as the gift tags too.
HP is swallowing a little bit better, we are grateful
for that.  His fluid intake is getting better.  Thank you Jesus.
I'm so grateful for the people that send
out Christmas cards, especially with the
expense of postage now and always rising
It's such a lovely gift to receive in the mail.
I wanted to share my little doorway of cards.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Isaiah 9:6KJV
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor,
The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Have a Very Merry Christmas.

Snoopy Christmas

Hello Crafting friends.
Can you believe Christmas is only 10 days away?
I'm really trying to enjoy the season, but life
gets all busy, and I'm distracted way to easily.
I did manage to make this card for the challenge at:
I used a lovely green DSP, then I stamped the
snoopy image, colored and cut him out.  I
placed him atop of the snowflake embossed
white cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment and
added it to the dog house.
Snoop dog just has some attitude that is adorable.
Reminds me very much of our little HP.
Here is a picture of the little darling on our bed.
He is doing ok, still struggling with eating and
drinking so we assist now, but it's scary, I
think he really appreciates that we are with him.
To all of those who have been praying for my Grandma,
thank you.  She is doing better.  Praise God, the little
woman of 100 years young is pulling through covid with
not to much troubles now.

Below is the little Christmas story book cards I made
for my kiddos.  They didn't turn out nearly as nice
as I had hoped.  They are only 3 inches tall, and my
hands and eyes just can't handle that size very well.
But here is a video
The verse I chose for this card is:
Isaiah 26:3KJV
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind
is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

SlimLine Christmas card #3

Hello Crafting friends.
I'm excited to play along with another
slim line card at the
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Decorated with Happiness,
Beary cute
I let the DSP do all the work here.
The background just seems perfect
for the polar bear family.
I tried to keep things clean and simple,
this time around. I love how the hat
and scarf pick up the blues in the card.
The three snowflakes under the bears
worked perfect for the embellishments,
 I used this sketch
somewhat so to make a really fast
sketch card for my dad.  I
posted it below.
You see had my mom lived they would
have celebrated 54 years of marriage on Dec. 6th.
Their tradition was always pizza, and my dad would
get a beer.  Well, dad can't drink much beer anymore
because of his health, but this year he got himself
a can, and so I quick drew up this mug.  Not much
of a freehand artist, but I think he will see it's a
mug of beer.

I've been crocheting again.  I made these fun little
coasters and plan on giving them to my kiddos,
dad, and my grandma.  She's 100 years young and
I think she will love the santa one.  If you could please
keep her in your prayers.  She tested positive for covid.
I also wanted to share a picture of my son.  I'm not
sure if I had mentioned this on my blog, but this past
August he was in a bad bike accident.  But praise
the LORD for his protection and his healing.  Even
though he sustained quite a few injuries, non were
life threatening.  Praise GOD.  He did have trauma
to his whole head and face.  But again it is
a complete miracle and nothing less that he is ok
and as you can see from this flier promo below
he's back at riding BMX  I covered up the location
of the event.  So proud of my son.  Following his dreams,
and working hard for them.  He works long 12 hour days,
and rides on the side so he's always on the move.
Here's a picture of HP, he's been acting very
strange lately, I fear the worse, but hoping
for the best. He goes off by himself like he's hiding.
He's usually always right next to us.
  Swallowing is becoming
more and more of a challenge.  and
someone is very spoiled now and only
eats homemade dog food.
I don't want to end the post on a sad note,
but I feel it's a forgotten piece of history by so
many in the younger generation.  So I do my
best to make sure my kiddos and those I know
remember freedom isn't free.  God bless
the soldiers and their families who gave all for our country.
The verse I chose for this card is:
1 Kings 8:57
The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers:
let him not leave us, nor forsake us:

Christmas Slimline Card #2

Hello,
I decided to go and make one more slimline card
and this time stick closer to the sketch at:
As you can see I stuck with the oval this time,
but I ran into the same problem, I just kept
adding more to the sides.  My goodness,
I have no self control in the stamping department.
I added some glitter embossing paste to the trees,
and then I couldn't resist adding the cute bear, I
pictured him walking thought the tree lot picking
out the perfect one for his home.
I took a picture with no light shining on the card, It
looks so dark, but the trees look grand.
I forgot to tell you the best part of the Christmas parade,
Of course it was being with one of my kiddos, but the
other part was a man had a springer spaniel, my heart
melted, I was almost in tears.  His name was Charlie,
and he was 3 years old, so young and sweet, and super
soft.  If you ever get a chance to pet a springer spaniel,
I encourage you to do so.  They are the ultimate in softness.
Let's just say when we came home we gave our old guy
lots of special love and attention.  Here is a picture of
him all tucked in his bed.  He is showing his age as far
as not being able to drink or chew well.  But we make
his food for him now and encourage the drinking with
rubbing down his neck.  He is such a pal.  I can't imagine
nor do I like to think of him gone.  So as long as he's not
in pain we keep trying to give him the best life he can have.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 145:9 KJV
The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

Slimline Christmas Card #1

Hello Crafting friends.
Hopefully your Saturday was spectacular.
I had a day of rest.   Last night we went to the
Christmas parade in town and it was delightful,
but I needed to move slower today.  I imagine
tomorrow too.  But that's ok. It was worth it
to be in the fresh air and get in the Christmas spirit.
I made this card for the challenge at:
I used a circle for the center because I
wanted to try out my new dies.  Then
I lost all touch with the sketch and just
started going to the edges with my
design.  Good golly I get lost in my little
creative world.  Then to finish it off I added
a few little gold embellishments to go
with the gold that I put on top of the
Christmas bulbs.
I got myself a little plant light, for the first time in
all my years having a house full of plants.  I usually
just move my plants around to find their happy spot.
Well since my back surgery, I'm not to good at moving
me around let alone my plants, so there are a few
that are not happy so I though a plant light might help.
Hoping it will do the trick.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Luke 11:28KJV
But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they
that hear the word of God, and keep it.

LIlypad Plant Thank you

Hello Crafty friends.
I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving.
I made this card for my son's friend, she gave
me the most lovely plant, she nicknamed lilypad
I looked it up and it's a Pilea Peperomioides,
Pancake plant or Chinese Money plant.  but
I love the lilypad name,  So that's what I'll call it too.
I included a few pictures at the end of this post.
I used my brick embossing folder and sponged
over it with gray.  I love how it helps the
little vase and plant have center stage to this card.
The sentiment font is perfect.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Varied Vases, Love what you do
Here is the little lilypad plant, isn't she
lovely?   They say it's easy to grow and even
helps clean the air.  I will do my best with her,
and hopefully all my other plants will welcome her
with love.  We need all the natural air cleaners we can
get here living next to the train yard.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Colossians 4:2KJV
Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
