Sketch #488~On the horizon, wildlife wonder, lovely as a tree, stampin up

Here is the Birthday card I made for my
Husband.   He is 52 today.
I will submit this card to the:
The stamp sets featured in this card
are stamping up:  On the Horizon,
Wildlife Wonder, Lovely as a Tree.
I incorporated the DSP as part of my background
scene image and I love it.  You'll notice the
pine tree and the bear were to be my two focal
point images like in the sketch, however, I couldn't
get proper placement, so I added the fence to
the front of the tree so it didn't look so ackward
just standing there in the open.  haha.  I also
added dimensionals to the fence and then curved it
a bit with my bone folder and sponged a little
color to it, so it looked authentic.  I had to use
scotch tape on my sentiment to make sure I only
stamped the words I wanted.  I love the
two birds flying off into the sunset.
I like this picture because the fence carries
right on through to the inside of the card,
and you can see it so well there.
How is this for a perfect quote?  Being
I was just talking about the birds.
Well folks I finished my little macrame wall art, and
I took a vote on instagram, and only 3 people, answered.
All three were for the beads on the side.  Then I put it
on my fb page and the majority said leave it plain.
I asked my family and it's 2 vs 2 here.  So what
do you think friends, should I keep the beads or
keep it plain and stream line?

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
And also,  for my dog, HP.

Game #222: Moodboard~Healing Hugs, Stampin Up, Essential oils, Stamping bella

It has been a wet weekend here.  Goodness
gracious, I'm glad we enjoyed our Thursday,
and Friday.   Hubby had off 4 days.  So the
first two were lovely.
Even though it's raining today it reminds me
of snow.  Because of the gray clouds.
I guess it makes me appreciate the sunny days
all the more.   So being all wet outside I decided
to make a card.
I made this one for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Healing Hugs
Stamping bella: Curvy girl loves essential oils
I stamped the image and then put on my
glasses and enjoyed some nice music while I
colored it all in.  Sometimes coloring can be
quite relaxing.  I was thankful the sentiment
stamped straight for me.
HP loves to watch the traffic out front.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
And also,  for my dog, HP.

#FMS550~ Trees for Sale, Stampin Up

Well folks I went tree crazy with this card.
I convinced myself it was allowed because
after all it is a Christmas tree lot.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
Stampin Up:  Trees for sale
I even read the rules to the challenge too.
We are encouraged to use lots of details,
and embellishments.  So in my mind
that was like giving me creative freedom
to go overboard with the Christmas trees.
I've been trying to keep practicing the concept: less is more
for my cards, but I had to make an exception
for this one.  It's so easy for me to just keep adding things.
At least I stopped myself
from adding anymore.  (wink) I love that
little camper.  Hence the reason I turned the sketch.

Did you notice I used the same
DSP on the camper and in the background?
I got a neat picture of the bumble bee
coming in for a landing.
He hit the mark.  They love these flowers.
Sir Hunter was taking it easy today.  He looks
so thick.  Honestly he is quite thin.  Only
60 pounds.  He is just starting to get
a thicker coat of fur already.  I think he will
require  one more shave down
 before winter comes.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
And also,  for my dog, HP.

Sketch #487~Trees for sale, Christmas Pinecones, Stampin up

I really do love making Christmas cards.  It just
puts me in a happy mood.  I don't want to rush
summer out the door though.
So as soon as I finished this card HP and I went
outside to enjoy the sunny day.  It felt so
good.  Nothing warms my fingers and legs up
like the sun.  Even though they tell me to stay out of it.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
Stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Trees for sale & Christmas pinecones
I'm not ever very good at explaining my cards, I'm honestly
not much of a teacher/sales person.  And quite frankly my
cards are really quite simple.  However, I will give it my best
shot.   I used the lovely plaid DSP.  From what pack it came,
I have no idea, it was just in my little stash.   I then cut
the rectangle pieces and layered them.  For the vertical green
rectangle, I die cut out a circle.  So I stamped the trees on
the white and lined up the circle cutout.  I then doubled up
my circle dies to make the matching DSP trim for it.  The
gold strip behind the banner sentiment is a piece of DSP as
well.  I just cut the gold piece out of it.  The die cut pine
cones caused the most problem for me.  I wasn't sure if I
should keep them brown or snow covered.  So I chose one
of each.  I finished it off with a few snowflake embellishments.
I will try to make a reel for my instagram page
tonight with this card.  Then you can see it
step by step.
Here is my little darling.  I had him on
my instagram story.  He's a star.
Here is the sweetest little bumble bee,
and I'm so happy to say a few of these
lovely plants survived I wanted a
whole lot more to come back but only
about 10 made it.  I'll take it and be happy with that.
It draws the honey, and bumble bees, and
butterflies as well.
I thought this picture below was so funny.
A bumble bee bottom.
Oh I want to share something random here.
Today I had the pleasure of smelling a few
things.  I Thank Jesus for that.
I smelled the potatoes when I was peeling
them for supper tonight, and I smelled the
cut grass.  It made me so happy.  I miss my
sniffer.  It is amazing how much I took that
for granite.  I pray that it will completely
return.  As well as my vision.  It has been a
long 8 months  with this covid inflammation.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
And also,  for my dog, HP.

HSSSC395~Hope Box, By my side, This little piggy, Stampin Up, Sunshine Yellow card

Well isn't this just a bazaar little card I made.
I seriously wonder what personality in
my head chooses the colors for my cards.
Surely, it is not I.  haha
Any ways, there it is, Golden Yellow,
oh boy, I'm going with~ it's a card packed
full of sunshine.
I'm going to submit this card to:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Hope Box, By my Side,
This little piggy
Now you might be wondering where is the
little piggy in this card?   Well I actually
stamped it and then cut out the tiny flower,
so I could place it on the little girl's hair. It
worked perfectly.
Now cutting those rectangles, was a real
struggle for me, my goodness gracious,
the amount of time I put into that.  I'd
love to hear tips on how to do this.
I thought I'd share a picture of my little
bird friend.  I have a few finches that
love to come and collect the seeds from
my sunflowers.  Perfect for my golden
yellow card.  (wink)

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.

August Colour Challenge~ Trees for sale, stampin up

Oh the glorious sun was out today.  That makes
everything feel better.
HP and I spent a few minutes outside enjoying
the sunflowers and watching the bees and birds
work on the pollen and seeds.
I made this card for the challenge at:

The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Trees for Sale
These non-traditional colors remind me
of the Christmas tree lot on the Charlie Brown
Christmas special.
I love how the gold was perfect for the lights and
stars for the trees.  I'm a bit bummed with myself
because I read the rules after I stamped the card,
and here I could have used brown.   Which I would
have done for the sign and the tree posts.  Instead,
I used yellow and didn't stamp the tree posts.
oh well, it still turned out ok.  I love that purple DSP
it gives the background a sort of snow winter backdrop.
Here is a picture of my sunflowers.  Look
at all those bees.
My darling HP is watching traffic again out front.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
(32 weeks out tomorrow.  sigh)
And also,  for my dog, HP.

Sketch #486~Nothing's Better than, Stampin up

Sometimes, life throws us curve balls, and when
that happens I usually like a pizza and some chocolate.
I know there are those who don't like  chocolate.
And I'm not here to judge,
Because I'm one of those odd balls that don't
like coffee, so I completely understand.
Honestly I wish I didn't like chocolate so much,
and I wish I did like coffee, veggies, and
healthy choices.  But instead I'm just a kid, perhaps a
college kid, living in a 51 year old body. haha
Love  my Cherry coke, eating pizza, and candy.
Any ways it was a delight to make this
card for the sketch at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Nothing's Better Than
Cutting all those sentiments out was quite
interesting.  At one point I realized I had stamped
them on white card stock and not the vanilla.
As you can see I didn't change it.  I convinced
myself the white was just the pop of color to
make the words stand out all the more.  Actually
I was just too tired and my eyes were weak from
all the cutting so I stuck with white.  I thought
the top of my card looked a tad unfinished so I added
the bow, which just means the post office will be
pleased with a bulky envelope.  (wink)
My little fella is taking it easy today.  I love how he
flips his bed out.  I actually put a video of that on
instagram, it's so funny.  Everyday he rearranges it.
and pulls it all over the house.  Love this dog. He
needed a nap after all that hard work.
I had a bunch of these gorgeous flowers
last year, and the bees and butterflies loved
them.  I'm sad to say only a few plants came
back this summer.  I'm hoping to harvest the seeds
in fall and perhaps try to plant them in the spring.
I found this little mushroom in my yard and
I thought it looked like a hot pocket.  My son
said it perfect though, it's like a smuckers,
uncrustable sandwich.  haha.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
