PPA320 ~Reindeer Cuteness

I just had to show another cute character from my new Avery Elle stamp set called North pole pals. In my last card I used the Santa and Mrs. Claus, today we have the reindeer (one of them) gosh I think they are super sweet.  I'm going to enter this card in the sketch challenge at:

These little berries are from the burning bush in our yard, but they kind of remind me of holly berries and thought how fitting with my Christmas card today.

MOJO467 Santa & Mrs. Claus

Oh gosh I just couldn't hardly wait to use my new little stamp set from Avery Elle called North pole pals.  I think the images are absolutely adorable, and I tried my best to stay in the lines while coloring. ( I sound like an elementary school student)  I used the bow from the wonderous wreath stampin up set, along with a stampin up embossing folder.  The tiny tag is a die from Lawn Fawn.  I added some colorful Christmas twine, and glitter to the Santa fur, to give it some sparkle.   I'm so glad to share it with you all  and to enter it in the sketch challenge at: Mojo Monday Blog .

Wreaths

Here are a couple different ways to make wreaths using the  Tea Fold Technique . I love how they turned out. I'm particularly fond of the Christmas wreath card,

I think it looks so festive with the printed paper.  I also like the bow.  Which card do you like better?
Hope you are all having a fabulous day.

Wooden Pumpkin Jar

I've been very aware of the mason jar frenzy that is taking over the stamp world, and I love these jars for so many reasons, gifts, decorations, food, baking, stamping, organization, etc.  With all that being said I don't own the stampin up jar set, I wish I did  but the budget only allows so much, any ways this little jar stamp is from the local stamp store and I just cut out the face with black card stock, and added some googly eyes.  I also ran the jar through the big shot after I stamped it to give the appearance of wood.   I used my brayer again for the background, it actually reminds me of those candy corns.  Hmm, just got another idea. (haha)

In a previous post I mentioned my son is a BMX rider, and so I thought I would include a picture of him doing what he does best.

I will also add a picture of  my daughter's amazing talent too..

SCS

Today is pretty gloomy here, as it is raining again. So I made a bright little bookmark card with a lovely verse.  I actually stamped flowers in the background of this card using the versa mark ink, but you can't see it very well in the picture.  I sure wish they would have shown up, because they are cute.
Hope you all have a blessed Sunday.

#GDP054~Joy

I made this card for the challenge at:  Global Design Project.  I had a great vision for it, but it didn't turn out nearly as nice as my mind thought it should.  I used the Stampin Up set Jolly Christmas.  I wanted it to look like the icicles were shining beside the word "Joy" so I used glimmer paint, I also highlighted and popped up the word "Joy".  Perhaps I went a wee bit overboard with that shimmer paint as I highlighted all the snowflakes, just so much fun to play with. haha
I used some sparkly twine around the top two borders to finish off this card.

I sure appreciate the chance to enter the challenge.  It keeps a gal thinking of new creative possibilities.

Embossed Blossoms

Goodness, it's been raining off and on all day steady.  Makes me very thankful for our little warm home.  And I thought this would be the perfect card to showcase on such a day.  I made it a couple days ago, but just didn't get a chance blog about it.  It really came together quickly and I like how the two colors contrast.   I sponged the embossed paper and then just used the stampin up Mixed Bunch to stamp the flower image, I then layered it and put an embellishment in the center, and added some yellow twine.

We celebrated my Son's 23rd birthday, and I made homemade egg rolls for him for the first time ever.  They actually turned out really yummy, huge happy surprise.
The card I made for my son you can see here at: Xavier's Birthday Card  I totally had him in mind while making it.  He has loved trains since he was a toddler, and I'm sure the fact we have lived next to tracks his whole life has a lot to do with it.  Now we live next to a very active train yard.
I also made these whopper bars for him.  Which were a hit with the kiddos since they were young, so it was nice to bring out that recipe again for them.

Overall just a busy week.
Hope you are all doing well.

Oriental Art

I really like how this card turned out.   I love the Oriental Artistic flare of the words and the fan.  I think it works so well on red with a black border.  If I had gold I probably would have used that too, since I highlighted a section of the fan in a gold sparkly wink of stella pen.  I used a lattice die to cut the border on the side.
Thank you for stopping by.
If you ever have any questions about the cards I make, please just leave a comment in the section below.  I'll try and get back to you in a timely manner.

Foxy Banners

This is not the idea I had in in mind when I started this card, but nevertheless I like the finished product.  I knew I wanted to do a Thank you with the stampin up Banner Banter set.  I have also noticed that people use twine or ribbon to make it look like the little banners are hanging, so that is what I chose to do too.  I used the fox from a Lawn Fawn set and the grass die from lawn fawn.  I also dropped some liquid pearls on the flowers embossed in the background.  Overall not to shabby. I hope the lady I will be sending it off to likes it as well.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Have a blessed Day.

Pumpkin Embossed Card

I truly am a summer person at .  I Love it!  But I'm not ashamed to admit I enjoy fall, the colors, the smells, the football, the baking (wait I do that all year anyways) haha.. but also just the decorating of the seasons.  So no surprise when I pulled out this embossing folder to play with.  I brayered the orange on the negative side of the folder and ran it through the big shot, and that is what gave me that neat look.  I also like the copper color paper behind the orange.    A few little brads and some ribbon
make this card complete.

Thank you for stopping by.

SCS

I have made a few cards the past few days, but really haven't had much of a chance to blog about them, I make them and then set them aside.  I usually need to really focus when I type my blog up, but apparently that's not an option at our house lately.   Right now the Sunday night football game is on, our daughter popped over for a visit, and of course as mama's know you want to feed your kids when they come, so I warmed up lasagna for her, and then my son and his girlfriend, went to the bike park for awhile.  My son is a BMX biker, and rides every day.  His goal is to go pro.  I'm sure he will do it.  So needless to say, I'm trying to focus to get my SCS card out today.  I don't have nearly enough moose stamps.  haha  I think I only have two, and for someone that loves moose that is not nearly enough.  I don't think my husband sees it quite the same way.    This set is from Lawn Fawn.  I also used two other sets to make this card, and being they are in the other room, I can't remember the names off hand, but if you are very interested in knowing just leave me a comment and I'll be sure to answer you.

I also want to share the picture I took today of that cute little bird.

SSC135 HAPPY COLORS In a Jar

Hello friends, today I decided to practice a few elements on this card.  So I pulled out my brayer and glossy paper for the background and then I added some more character/charm with the bokeh technique.    I used a mason jar stamped on clear paper and then filled it full of crayons that I had stamped using a variety of colors, and then cut out.  Of course a few sequins always make things sparkle.

I added one more picture, just because I have a hard time choosing which one photographed better.

I'm going to enter this card in the Happy Color challenge at:  Sunday Stamps Blog

Mason Jar filled with Cupcake Kisses

As promised here is the mason jar filled with cute cupcakes, which all have a Hershey kiss in them.  I got this lovely idea from a fellow blogger.
I love how well these little tents fit the kiss perfectly, helps them hold their shape.  So I made this jar for our Birthday Gal, and we made 21 of them for her special day, oddly enough only 20 fit nicely in the jar so I used the tent base for the big cupcake on top and placed that extra one there.  It all worked out lovely.
Here is a picture of my English Springer Spaniel.. he is a hunting dog by breed, but he's really just my pal.  We call him HP.  Which stands for many things.  His official name is Sir Hunter.
Hope you have a fabulous Day.

Sarataina Birthday

Well, we just can't let a 21st birthday go by with out having a cute little celebration card.  Even though we are not big drinkers here I couldn't resist this sweet little umbrella drink, it was just the right thing for my son's girlfriend's birthday which is today.  I actually don't have this stamp, I used it while at a make and take class years ago, but just revamped the card to make it fit this birthday celebration today.

We  had a lovely time, even though it was raining outside for most of the day.  We celebrated with cake & a few little gifts.  I will post a picture of the mason jar filled with cupcake kisses tomorrow.  Stay tuned for that☺
I made a toffee topped chocolate caramel cake for the celebration.  My husband loves it,
I think all the kids did too

Thank you for stopping by.
Have a blessed day.

It's Critter Time Challenge at #rrcb46

Oh my goodness, I do enjoy making these little boxes.  The die is from lawn fawn, as is the stamp set called: Critters in the Forest I  believe it came out in 2011.  Gosh it seems like just yesterday.  Anyways, the printed background paper is actually a paper bag from a local craft store.  I knew it would come in handy one day.  I have a hard time throwing things away like this.  I Would like to submit this little critter box to the challenge at: Retro Rubber Challenge Blog.    They always have great challenges for us to use our older stamps which is such a perk for me, since is seems like the majority of mine are older.

Here is another picture of my little box to show the dimension a bit better, since I use the pop up dots.  I hope you like it.

Butterflies in a Mason Jar

Well, this is the second take on my card.  The first card was swell, but the mason jar was on white card stock, and it stuck out like a sore thumb. So I started thinking, I have some clear paper that will work lovely.. and that is exactly what I did.  I love how it turned out.  I wanted to take a picture with the flash so you could see the "jar" glass look.  I wasn't to sure on how to stick the jar to the paper, so I just used tombo glue, and it worked out ok.   I used a few different techniques, and mostly stampin up products.  If you have any questions about the products, just leave me a message in the comment section.
I really like how you can see the flowers through the jar.

The last picture I have for you today is of this pretty little feathered friend at the feeder.  Just amazes me how they eat completely upside down.

Thank you for stopping by.

Back to School

Howdy~Here are a couple back to school cards I made for my niece and nephew.   I really like the nice crisp clean look of these.  I used the smiley washi tape as a background, and used the stampin up image from All Boxed up.  I then scattered a few sequins around for some sparkle.  I hope they will enjoy receiving these in the mail.  (if the postal service gets them there.. it's a bit sketchy here where we live.)

I will have to slowly start investing in circle punches. I tried to trim as best I could around the image.

The two cards are a wee bit different.   So I thought I'd share images of both.

I also tacked on a picture of Chippy.  I don't know who was more scared him or I.  You see I was taking a picture of this grasshopper which I put in one of my earlier blog posts, and this little critter come running around the side of the house like he was heading indoors before me.  Goodness Gracious it was a sight.  Any ways he's cute OUT DOORS at least.

Thank you so much for caring and stopping by.

Birthday Card for Hubby

Well dear friends, I forgot to blog about the card I made for my sweet hubby.  I didn't have much time to put an extremely nice card together, so this had to do.  He truly is a good man and a wonderful encouragement to me.  We have been together for 26 years and it's been an interesting journey that's for sure.   He celebrated his 46th birthday on the 31 of Aug. Thankful to have him in my life.  I also made him one of his favorites.  Chocolate chip muffins.  Robb has always liked homemade from scratch things,  but I shouldn't complain, because these muffins are super simple to make, as was the card.    Thank you so much for  caring and stopping by.

PRAISE~SCS

 SCS (Scripture Card Sunday)

So for today's card I used an embossing folder, and added color by sponging directly onto the card stock.. The verse I chose today, just seemed to speak to me. about praising The LORD, even in the storms.  I came across this really neat saying .  "What is true on the mountaintop, Is true in the Valley. Keep Faith."  So sometimes in my life personally when I get the same kind of message twice, it's like  a confirmation of something I need to work on. Apparently Praise is one of those lessons.

Any ways. I'm looking for more ways to use embossing folders, so if you have any ideas, please share them with me.  I know just using a flash when taking the picture, does an amazing job at highlighting it.

The other day when I came home this little happy grasshopper popped up to say howdy on the flower bed post next to our back door.  I think the picture is pretty awesome and detailed.
Hope you enjoy it too.
Thank you for stopping by.

BIRTHDAY CONE

Welcome~I have been in my playpen (porch converted into stamping/Bible study room) making cards galore, so I  thought I'd just make individual posts instead of cramming them all together.

With this Birthday card I used the lawn fawn designer paper that came as a gift when I placed a rather small order.  How super delightful.  The sentiment is also a lawn fawn item.  The icecream cone is from Stampin Up and the set is called Honeycomb Happiness.  I used the cupcake builder punch to add the cherry on top.  I added a few button brads and ribbon to give it some character.

My photo today is of this awfully ugly spider, that was way to close to my house.  UGH!!! Not a fan of this.  But nevertheless, my kids thought it was a great picture.

Thank you for stopping by.

Birthday Explosion

Welcome~ So happy you popped in for a visit.  Today we have a Birthday Explosion Card.  I love the fact that this card folds flat and fits nicely inside the envelope, but when the receiver opens it up.. POW>>it expands to an 8 x 8 piece of paper.  Which I might add is wonderful if you have a lot of people that want to sign the card or add their own greetings on it.  I actually was just testing this out, so I used some scrap printed paper, but I liked how it turned out so I went with it all the way. It's a bit chaotic with all the print and washi tape on the inside, but it's ok with me for this particular card.  I think it adds to the charm.
Thank you for taking time
 to visit my blog.

A Little Cheese with that Wine #GDP051

Welcome~ So glad you stopped by.  Today I will enter this card in the theme challenge at:
I just got a new grapevine embossing folder so I knew I had to play with it, and what a lovely opportunity to use this in the "food theme"
I can't w(h)ine about that.

Thank you for your time.  Have a great day.
