CTS #324~Dad & Me Lawn Fawn, Happy Father's day. Beary Special

I made this card for my dad.  It was extremely helpful to have this fun sketch to play with.

I hope you can see the elements that represent the sketch.  I will do my best to share my thoughts when I came across this sketch.  Of course at first I thought of the obvious, like perhaps a book shelf, with books stacked every which way.  Then I remembered I wanted to make a card for dad.   That way I will have it on hand and ready.  SO my friend, the pond represents the bottom horizontal line, the two diagonal lines are the mountains on the left hand side, and lastly the two right hand rectangles are the papa bear and baby bear, the fish and cattails are just fillers.  I also added some glossy accents to the pond.  Then sentiment fit just perfect under the cute little snapshot I created with my Lawn Fawn, Dad and Me stamp set.

Sketch #318~ A little Wild, Stampin Up

I just had (wanted) to make one more card using the lovely sketch at:

I decided to use my stampin up set called, A little Wild.   I  love this little bear and honeybees.   It's so cute.  I added a bit of sparkle ribbon down the side to give it a little bling.   Hence the reason the extra picture, so you could see it better.  Cutting out those little bees was quite challenging.  But in the end it was worth it.

I really need to keep practicing with the alcohol markers.  I try to blend them, but it don't always work so well.  I suppose it's trial and error.  So keep trying, at least that's what I tell myself.

PP443~Garden in Bloom, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is from stampin up:  Garden In Bloom.  My all time favorite bumblebee is in this set.    Isn't he adorable?    I like the wide border around this card, it seems to direct all the attention to the center.

I'm also including a picture of Ma & Pa duck again.  This time they were right out my craft room windows.  What a delight they are making our yard their own.  I hope we will be blessed with a few ducklings.  I shall keep the camera ready.😉

Sketch #318~Everything is Rosy, Beauty Abounds, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
I was most excited to play around with this lovely sketch, in fact I already have another idea.  Some sketches just take two cards to get it right.
I'm still working on becoming a "floral card maker"  so that's
what this one is today.
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Everything is Rosy.
Stampin up: Beauty Abounds

I love all the sparkle the paper has and the ribbon is so delightful to work with.  I brushed the butterfly with some clear wink of stella to help her sparkle as well.

I am also including a picture of the amazing certificate I received in the mail today.. That made my day super happy.   However, I then had to break the news to my husband, letting him know it was all his dollars for my stamps and accessories, that enabled me to receive this nice little certificate.  I don't have any customers.  I wish, but I'm not much of a sales person, and I'm quite limited in my ability.  So I shall bask in the happy for a few days and then hang this in my little craft room..  I hope ya all don't think I'm bragging, please know I'm just sharing.

CTS #323~Perennial Birthday, Vintage Vogue, Stampin Up

Today is wet and cool here.  I'm feeling highly unmotivated by this weather.  No sun, and I can't believe it's almost June, and still quite cool, even for Wisconsin.
But I did manage a card, and hopefully I will make a few more today, or at least try to organize my cards and stamps for my etsy shop.

This card I will submit to the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Perennial Birthday
Stampin Up:  Vintage Vogue

I thought a nice granny smith green would help brighten up the day.   I then added a few embellishments to give it a little pop.

I'm also including a few pictures of Ma & Pa Duck.  They seem to take refuge in our yard, even with our springer spaniel  (bird dog)   However, On Saturday they sat out front of the fence watching the 4 lanes of traffic, because HP was in the yard running.   But Sunday they got the whole side yard to themselves and seem quite happy.  Honestly their colors and feathers are just gorgeous.  Such detail the master puts in His works.

Sketch #317~ Perennial Birthday, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up: Perennial Birthday

It's new to me, and I seem to be struggling with this lovely little set of 14, so many options and yet I just can't seem to get very creative with it.    But I'm not going to give up.  I even resorted to pinterest to try and find some help.  WOWZA there are some spectacular cards using this set.     It's hard to see in my pictures but behind the sentiment there is indeed some lovely pink dots to match the sketch.   In the end I wasn't that happy with it until I added some little sparkle stickers, a little bling really spruces things up.

I'm also sharing a couple pictures of a new bird to my feeder.  Apparently it's a Rose-breasted Grosbeak.  And it's lovely.  Especially the song it sings.  You can take a listen ♪Here ♪.

CTS #322~Huge Thanks, Hero Arts, Safari, Enjoy Life, Waterfront Stampin Up

This card was quite a challenge for me.   I was most excited to play with my new Safari stamp set.  However after many pieces of scrap paper, and complete disappointment.  I thought it best to shove away from the desk and go do a Bible study.   So I took a little break, and had some lunch then came back to it.  I was determined to make this set work.  Well I stared at my little shelf for other sets I could incorporate here to help me out.  I found two more to use.   It made a huge difference in the direction the card was going.   I also got a little bit better with the brayer and glossy paper.  Thank goodness because my glossy paper supply is quite low.   It's actually photo paper.     I embossed the background to give it some depth and added a few brads on the top strip.  I think it ties in nicely.  I had to stamp the sentiment on the bottom due to a few little fingerprints hence the reason the embellishments are there too 😉
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Hero Arts:  Huge Thanks Safari
Stampin Up: Enjoy Life
Stampin Up: Waterfront

I am going to submit this card to the challenge at:
CAS(E) this Sketch

Things are turning green here and spring has sprung in WI (almost)  we did have snow a bit north of us.    The tree beside our driveway is lovely right now.  It is quite windy and cold here, so I stayed inside to get a picture.

FMS388~Perennial Birthday, Gift of Love, Stampin Up

I made this card quickly today for the challenge at:

I say quickly because time is running out on the challenge, and I wanted to be sure to enter.  You see I have a new stamp set I wanted to play with and I won some fabulous paper, so I wanted to pair them together in this card.

The stamp sets featured here are:
Stampin Up:  Gift of Love
Stampin Up: Perennial Birthday

I added quite a few little glitter embellishments to the centers of the flowers.  I love these little gold stickers.    (I won those too)
The sentiment "thank you"  doesn't really show up to well on the patterned paper but I wanted to make sure that the person I send this too knows how much I love the gift of paper she sent me.

I can't believe after all the layers on the inside of the card, I forgot to stamp it.  Oops.

I included two pictures of the front, one with  a little extra light so you could see the sparkle in those embellishments.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Week 343: COLOR~ Half Full, Stampin Up

I made this colorful (rainbow) card for the challenge at:

The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up: Half Full

I am not a wine drinker, but when I came across this stamp set I thought it was cute, and I believe a few of my friends will really appreciate the cards I can make using this set😉 At least I hope they will.

I decided to color in the glasses according the the color of the rainbow.   Then I added some wink of stella and topped it with glossy accents to make it look real.
The sentiment is quite light on the picture but it reads as follows,
"May your Glass Always be Half Full."

I'm also including a picture of the taco dip I made for movie night with my daughter last evening.  We watched a classic, Bette Davis movie titled, Now Voyager.   It was an absolutely lovely time.
I'm so grateful that my kiddos want to spend time with me.💖

Sketch #316~Let It Ride, Stampin Up Horses

I finally made a card today.  It was one of those days where I couldn't focus.   I didn't even get my Bible study done today 😞    However, I did get to visit with both my kids by texting, and then I went to my daughter's home.   Such a fun time.  They make me smile.  I even brought HP along for the ride.   Perhaps the  inspiration behind my card today.   haha.. I let him ride along.   He's a big boy about 60 pounds but we are fortunate enough to have bars in our Equinox so he stays in the back while I drive.  That came in so handy when we drove to VA a few years ago to visit our daughter.    Oh gosh, I got off track ...  Well let me just wrap it up by saying I will submit this card to the challenge at:

The stamp set featured in this card today is:
Stampin up:  Let it Ride.
I also used an embossing folder to create a wood like background.

#TGIFC211 Sketch Challenge~Life is Grand, Dragonfly Dreams, Stampin Up

This card I made for the one layer challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Life Is Grand
Stampin Up:  Dragonfly Dreams

I had quite the time deciding on the background colors for this particular card.  I finally chose flirty flamingo and gray granite.   For the dragonfly I used wild wasabi, and gorgeous grape.    I also used the grape ink for the sentiment too.
I then brushed on some clear wink of stella to the wings for some sparkle, but it didn't give it quite enough shimmer, so I aded some rosegold ink, and I still was not that impressed, so finally I brought out my old faithful, glossy accents, and that did the job.  I added 3 delicate little flowers randomly to finish the card off.    I stamped the inside with the same dragonfly, I just kept him simple.

I'm also sharing a picture of the lovely bouquet of flowers I received from my kiddos on Mother's day.
