SBS~ ON HOLD FOR AN UPDATE

Hello Dear Friends.. Well I've been working mighty hard on the craft fair cards and projects.. just for it to come crumbling down.😢  So Even though it's my SCS (Scripture Card Sunday) day.  I wanted to post an update instead.  I'm feeling a bit down about the situation but I suppose it's all for the best. So I thought I'd share a few of the things I was working on.   I even decorated these cute candy jars to sell, and used my daisy duct tape to wrap my display boxes.  Well perhaps there will be a legitimate craft fair coming up in the future for me, so for now I will just save my items for gifts.. and focus on my cards, and also try to sell some of my cards on my etsy shop: PjsCardsandProjects
Gosh I even talked my hubby into ordering me cute little business cards for the craft fair, I suppose if I ever sell anything on Etsy I can stick my cards in the package too.

So onto the week.. I did have some very happy things happen, and one was even though it snowed.. as seen in this picture.  It ALL  melted the next day, so that's fabulous.  Also, I won my very first stamp set, from a blog challenge.  I'm not ever a winner, so that made my day.  Not sure what to do with this set other then play around and see what  I can come up with, and perhaps check out pinterest for ideas.
Also, My hubby took off Monday and Tuesday to be home with me, as we will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary on
💑May 2nd.💒

Thank you so much for caring and sharing
 your time with me.
I hope you all have a wonderful week

Weather Together Thank you

Hi Everyone.  I made a few cards the other day and forgot to post them.  I was playing with the stampin up weather together set and then it just seemed so gloomy to me. All I was doing was stamping about rain.. ugh.. so I decided to search pinterest for ideas, and oh my word the possibilities.. some gals even use this cute set as a beach umbrella .. I would not have thought of that.  So going to try that soon.  The last card was just a thank you that I made for the craft fair.  It's getting closer, and I'm getting nervous, been dealing with more pain then usual, but so thankful my daughter took off work to help me out.  I don't think I can do this by myself yet.   My son is so bummed out about his hand.. the doctor said about 4 more weeks with pins in it.  Please pray he heals quickly and whole.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Hope you have a blessed day.

CAS(E) this Sketch #218~ Umbrella

Today I made this card for the sketch challenge at: Case This Sketch
I used the stampin up weather together set with matching framelits.  I had to add the second row of clouds because I smudged the rain drops.   I think my subconscious knows how much I dislike rain at times.  (haha) I then added some glitter paper to the umbrella and the handle to bling it up a bit.  I also used little jewels beside the sentiment.   For the top clouds I positioned my framelits where I wanted the clouds to be and then ran it through the big shot.  I  stamped the same cloud image on white paper and used pop dots to line up the images.. I think it turned out nice.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog for a visit.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #399~Beautiful YOU

I'm so excited to play along with the challenge at: Tuesday Morning Sketches
This is such a great layout.  The possibilities were swimming in my head, but I finally settled on this one.   I used  stampin up sets: Papillon Potpourri for the butterflies and Beautiful you for the young lady and sentiment.  I then found some fabulous paper to fussy cut out the dress and hat.  I love how it goes with the orange background.   Oh and I embossed that background with the vertical stripes, but chose not to sponge it.. just clean and simple.  One little button with yellow twine for some dimension finishes this card off.   I needed a bit of bright and cheery, as it's cold and raining here in WI.
I also posted both pictures because one shows the sparkly dress better, and the other shows the embossed background, so of course I couldn't decide which one to pick ~ So I added them both.
Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.

GET WELL CARD FOR MY SON

This card I made for my son, who had surgery last week.  He shattered the bone in his hand and had to have pins put in it.  He is doing well.  It's just hard for him to take it easy,  He is a BMX bike rider that does the fancy tricks/stunts and such.  It's dangerous.. so we pray a lot, but he loves it, and we're so proud of him.   He grew up loving trains too.. and so fitting since we've always lived by the tracks and in this case train yard now.. any ways.. this little shirt I made for him I even tried to tie dye it the way he would like it.. I wish I could get one made for real for him.  He said he loved the card.  Also He got it today on the 19th.. which is symbolic to us because his birthday is the 19th of Sept.  and my kids like their dates.. so sweet.
Thank you so much for visiting today.

CONGRATULATIONS

This here card I made for a friend who just bought a house and also got a little puppy.  I couldn't resist making a card for this lovely family.   I didn't have a bigger house stamp, and I wasn't quite sure how to balance the dog verses the house.. so that made me think of balance by way of a teeter totter and there you have it...a "scale" if you will.    I hope my friend and her daughters will like the card.

HSS Sketch Challenge #262~BABY

Today I made a cute baby card for the sketch challenge at: Hand Stamped Sentiments Blog.
I used stampin up Moon Baby and Banner Banter to create this card.  I embossed the background with clouds and sponged on some color to brighten it up a bit.  I then made sure to match baby's umbrella with her sleeper.  I couldn't layer the circle dies because the bottom was to large, so I trimmed off the out ring of the smaller circle and layered it that way.  I think it turned out fabulous.  Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.

SCS~ HAPPY EASTER

HAPPY EASTER TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!
MAY YOU BE BLESSED AS YOU CELEBRATE OUR RISEN SAVIOR.
THANK YOU FOR BEING PART OF MY BLOG FAMILY.
HUGS TO YOU ~PJ

RRCB60~Baby Elephant

Today I made a card for the  theme challenge at: Retro Rubber Challenge Blog.  We are to get creative with critter babies.
I chose this baby elephant from stampin up: Out of the box.  I checked on split coast stampers and the earliest I can see this set is 2009. It appears to be a hostess set.  The little elephant is adorable.  I found some cute baby theme ribbon laying around so I thought it would work lovely with this card.    I made two cards because I couldn't decide which color I liked better.
I really wanted to do a baby giraffe because April had her baby but I didn't think of that until after I stamped the elephant, and plus my giraffe stamp is not that cute. 😉
Thank you so much for visiting.

Challenge #81~Butterflies

I made this card for the: Time Out Challenge Blog.  Here is the picture we are to gain inspiration from↓
I chose to stamp butterflies, with a black card stock punched shadow behind them, I also stamped the  background with a soft sand ink to give it some dimension, Then added a pearl to each of the butterflies to give them some bling.  I thought the birthday sentiment went well with the clock in the picture, as to mark the "special time" of the year
when we celebrate our day.
Thank you so much for stopping by.  So glad for the opportunity to share my cards with you.  Hope you will take a moment to look around my blog, and sign up to follow me.

*I'm going to have a super small table at a craft fair coming up in May, and I'm just curious as to what you all would think I should make more of?  What would sell the best? I've pictured a few of the projects in previous posts.  Let me know what you think is best.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #398~Buds and Butterflies

As you probably all read in my previous post, what a week thus far.. so I located another challenge to play along with and this one is at: Tuesday Morning Sketches  to keep my mind busy, and not dwell on the negative.  I thought this was a delightful challenge, and it turned out to be just that.  I had such a "great" idea, well that fizzled out fast when it seemed practically impossible to do.. so this is what I came up with.  I used stampin up: Special Reason, Designer Tee, Papillon Potpourri, and Love without End.  I embossed the background with a floral print, and then used my dies for the ovals.  I added a couple pearls to accent the flower and the butterfly.  It was so much fun to use crisp lines on this design.

SSC150 BANNER LOVE TAKE TWO~Bold and Beautiful

I figured it was time to make a card, especially after the week I've had.   I even took a break from all the craft fair projects.  I really need a little card therapy. I"ll share a bit of my week thus far, It all started with the oven not wanting to heat up anymore, then the refrigerator started leaking, and we don't even have a water dispenser/ice cube maker, so I don't know what that is all about, then the vacuum cleaner decided to break, and my nice little 40 dollar food processor blew up as in billows of smoke.   So it was no surprise(haha) to me when I went out to our vehicle with my son, who just had surgery to put pins in his hand..that I had a completely flat tire, (did I mention we were in a different city for the surgery)  Talk about feeling utterly alone.   However God sent us an angel.. and that man even had difficulties removing our flat tire.. but Praise the LORD he got our spare on, and we made it home safely.    So as you can imagine, I just wanted to spend today stamping.. BTW-our son is doing well.  another BIG blessing.
Onto the card now.  I found the lovely sketch challenge at: Sunday Stamps and I loved how clean and simple this looked.  In fact as I'm typing this I'm thinking of another fabulous idea.. oh gosh I wonder how many times a gal can enter into this challenge?  I used the stampin up: Designer Tee and Special Reason stamp sets.  I like the bubble bee colors today.  Bright and bold.
Thank you so much for stopping by.  I'd love to have you follow my blog.

Even when you're having a rough week...
 probably more so then. 😉

SIX PACK OF CARDS

Here are a few of the cards I've been working on along side the other paper projects.   My desk has been in complete chaos the past few days/weeks.. ok, you got me, since I started stamping.  I just kind of lose track of time and anything else, like my glue, the scissors.. oh the joy of it all. Does that ever happen to you?
I hope you are having a fabulous Monday.  Thank you so much for visiting.

DOG TREAT BAGS

AW~  How super duper cute is this little treat bag?  I made it using the stampin up: Bella and Friends set.  I love it.   I put 15 mini dog bones in the cello bag, they fit perfectly.  I am hoping these will be a hit at the craft fair as well.

There is even more projects to follow.... on the next post.
Thank you for visiting today.

SHADOW BOX CARD

My apologies.  It's been way to long since my last post.  I just got all wrapped up in the upcoming craft fair.  I've been making all kinds of projects and such that I will share on a few posts today.
I also wanted to ask for prayers for our son, he will be having surgery tomorrow morning, and I'm a bit nervous for my boy.
Thank you so much.

Now onto the card I made for my daughter and her boyfriend, they moved into a new apartment.. I think this is a cute little shadow box for them to display. (if they want too)

I hope you are having a lovely week.
Thank you for visiting today.
