Sketch #335 New Wonders, Stampin Up

I made this happy little story book card for the challenge at:
Immediately when I first saw this I too thought bike.  it just seemed to say "two wheels" to me.  However I noticed one of the talented design team members did a delightful bike, and I know I couldn't top that, so I had to ponder this sketch a few days and thought why not use my brand new Stampin up set called New Wonders.   I think it turned out fabulous.   I really love the story book feel this card has with the DSP in the background.   Plus I love to read so I thought it was perfect.  I felt like the top needed a little something so I added some lovely polka dot ribbon that's barely noticeable, but yet gives just another little element to the card.

As I mentioned I enjoy reading, and lately it's been all about Alexander Hamilton.   It amazes me that now I like to learn things like this.   Where was that want when I was in social studies?  I could have really used it to improve my grades.    Well, perhaps it's because I have so much time on my hands now, and am by myself all the time, that reading is another way of escaping, like stamping.  So it's a blessing.

Well folks, thanks for stopping by for a visit.

FMS404~ Sip Sip Hooray Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
I flipped the sketch on the side.  I really like how the martini glass is the correct way for the oval to be flipped, however I still added another oval layer for the sentiment.    It just needed a little something beside the martini glass.  The bubbles in the background are die cut and then I added some glimmer paper behind it.  I also added glossy accents to the glass to make the liquid look real.  The olives are the finishing touch.

CTS #340 Merry Moose, Stampin Up

I just got my new stampin up set called: Merry Moose.  It even has a matching punch.   Oooo I was most excited to see that in the catalog, and the snow globe set too.   So much to add to my wish list.  But for now I'll play with Mr. Moose, and make a few cards, after all it's only fitting that I should have this stamp set being I have a lot of moose themed things in my home.  Haha.
Well I will submit this card to the challenge at:

I didn't use the punch this time, I just stamped him directly on the card stock.  I am so happy I got the color to line up within the outline.   I really like the simplicity of this card.

I also worked on 3 packs of 8 Christmas thank you note cards to add to my Etsy Shop.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Sketch #334 Nothing Sweeter, Beautiful Baubles, Stampin Up

My goodness I had a hard time getting this picture to turn out.   I think the batteries must be going on my little 35mm.   Someday I shall own a smartphone and not have to worry about such things.  My kids phones take the most amazing pictures.  WOWZA.. then I could just easily put my pictures on instagram and my blog.  But as for now I do it the old fashion way.. haha. the uploading process.  Any ways  this is the best picture I could come up with for the card I made today.    Perhaps because I took a lot of pictures of the sunset with my kiddos on the 19th to celebrate my son's birthday.  What a great time.  I've included a few of those pictures too.

WE had a Praise the LORD moment I'd like to share.  My Equinox  had a little nail in the tire.  grrrr, and it was losing air but a real slow leak, any ways hubby took the tire off, and zoomed it up to the garage, they plugged it and so we were good to go.  Well I drove my daughter and I down to visit my son.   He lives about 2 hours away.  Needless to say A light came on, a tire sensing issue.. Folks. The tire now has a huge bulge in it.  The one they "FIXED"  omgosh.. I'm so Grateful that  Jesus kept us safe on the interstate.  It's a long stretch of deer country and to think we would have blown a tire, caused an accident. YIKES.. so hubby is taking it back to the garage tomorrow.  GRRR.. This is a $200.00 tire.  Crazy. I just hope it gets fixed correctly now.

Now for the card.  I will submit it to the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in today's card are:
Stampin Up:  Nothing Sweeter
Stampin Up:  Beautiful Baubles

I let the dsp do the work for me when it came to the flowers on the sketch.  I thought  the little pine trees outlined the sentiment nicely.  A lot of trimming to get it to make the nice border.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit, checking out my card, and reading my ramblings.

Challenge #38 "Something Plaid" & Challenge #375: Tags and Frames Merry Christmas Tags

I made these delightful Christmas tags for my Etsy shop.   I thought they might be a hit.  At least that's what I'm hoping for.  I haven't had a sale since I raised a few prices to help cover shipping expenses.  YIKES❕

Anyways, my daughter LOVED the tags.  Her cute exact words when she saw them on the table were, "those are quality tags mama"  so that put a smile on my face.

I then  put together and decorated all four sides of this lovely mini pizza box.   Notice the mini library clip on the top tag, that way you can remove that and use it along with all the others.   As you can see I made quite a few tags and only half of them fit in the box, so I will be making another box for the rest.

I will submit this project to the challenges at:
and

The challenge is to incorporate tags/frames & plaid

I think I covered the basics in my project.

Just a NOTE:  I will be having  a sale in my etsy shop as soon as I hit 100 followers on my blog.  So spread the word.  Thanks a million.

Challenge #339 - Colours~ Marquee Messages, Stampin Up, Birthday

I want to give a big warm welcome to my new blog follower.  This is exciting❕

Image result for minion thank you
I'm so happy you decided to sign                    up and follow my blog.  💛  I'm almost to 100 followers.  I might have a sale in my Etsy shop for a celebration.😊

I made this card for my son's Birthday.   It's originally a lip balm holder, but fits dollars as well, so I thought he'd appreciate that, and He did 💙  He was as impressed as I was because I made a rip strip on the inside of the card to access the dollars without tearing the card apart.  You can see the rip strip on the second picture.   On the third picture you can see all the glitter I added to the numbers and the shiny pearls much better.   I'm so happy with how it turned out.
I'm going to submit it to the challenge at:

Now I didn't have those exact colors, but tried to match them as close as possible using the following inks: Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry, and Tranquil Tide.
The stamp set featured in this card is:  Marquee Messages

I'm also including the perfect sunset picture with the kids on his birthday.. it was a special 9-19-19  🧡💙💚💛

Challenge 425 Love You to Pieces, Dino Days, Tropical Chic, Stampin Up

I made this cute fun activity card for a little boy who has his legs broken.  The mama asked for happy mail because he was a bit down.  SO I made this delightful dinosaur card with a pocket on the front to hold the puzzle I created for him.   When he is all done putting it together he can just slip it right back in there.   I've included multiple pictures so you can see the whole card/puzzle and envelope I had to make, because it's a 5x5 square card.

I will submit this card to the challenge at:

Sketch #333~ Perennial Birthday, Hello Friend, Stampin Up

I've been on a card making frenzy.  Oh my goodness.  This is card number six, and I have two more to post yet.    Perhaps I'm in denial about this finger.  I went for my ultrasound, to which I asked, the image technician do you see a thorn?  Knowing very well she would not tell me, but nevertheless when she said, "You have to wait for the doctor to read it"  I wasn't happy, so perhaps I'm still having a temper tantrum.. haha. but at least it's in the form of card making.

As you can see I'm back..  I just had to try again with the sketch. So I scaled it down a bit and will submit it to:
