Sketch #470~Wildlife Wonder, Stampin Up

You know I had this idea that the DSP was
going to go lovely with the design I had
planned in my head. Well of course it's not quite
what I envisioned.  It's a bit more bold and stormy
looking.  But after much deliberation and
concentration.. ( haha that rhymed)  I didn't
change it.  So here it is.
I do think the silver washi tape helped to brighten
things up a bit.
I wasn't sure how to go about coloring in the wolf.
So I had to research them to know exactly what
color they can be.  It was interesting to me,
because it depends on where they live.
So your guess is as good as mine as to where
the wolf I colored lives,  I went with grays and
a little bit of brown tones too.
I think they are so pretty, and I'm one of
those people who would probably
give him a milk bone treat and  think we'd
become fast friends.
I'm going to submit his card to the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Wildlife Wonder
I'm excited to use the bear in this set.

I bought myself a kit, I don't usually do that.
This one had me at the word "HOPE"
It is a delightful and springy pack.
I also thought I'd share a couple pictures of
HP.  The little rascal was pooped out from
making a hard decision on what toy to pick.
As you can see in the below picture,
he was wanting me to help.  To which
I did and we got out many of his little
toys.  He just has a hard time with the
MMM condition, and chewing on them
is difficult for him,
but he keeps trying, bless his heart.
Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
And also,  for my dog, HP.

FUSION~Hydrangea Haven Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Hydrangea Haven
Today is plant watering day at our home.
I noticed this past winter that my rubber tree
was getting more leaves, and I credited it to
the little room humidifier we have sitting on the
dining room table.
Well, the past 2 weeks, the leaves started getting
yellow and dropping.  So of course I went to
google to find out why, to which it said either
too much water or not enough.  So helpful.  sigh
I thought perhaps it was to moist with that humidifier
running by it.  So I let it dry out, thinking that would
be best, well tonight hubby helped me pull it out
of the pot and I was shocked at how absolutely dry
and dusty it was, so we put in a bit of new soil,
ran out, so we had to mix the old with the new, and then
wiped down all the leaves and gave it a drink.
So now we wait to see if it will survive.
I hope that it does, I've had this one for probably 18 years.
aww, such is life.  All my plants need a good
wash (dusting) and repotting.
I suppose I should talk about my card.   Well folks
it is quite straight forward.  Except I just didn't know
when to stop with that hydrangea.   I stamped it twice
then I die cut it twice and lifted all the little flower
pieces up, I also added extra little flower pieces in
lighter and darker colors for contrast.  and just when I
thought I was done, I noticed the ribbon had a hint of
sparkle to it, so I added embellishments to a few
of the petals to bring out that bling.  I think this would make a
lovely Mother's day card.

Thought I'd include a picture of my little HP.  He had his
springtime shave, and he's still on prednisone, so he gets
the shivers, and that means I spoil him by keeping him
covered and toasty warm.  He is a little sweetheart.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
And also,  for my dog, HP.

Sketch 469~Slimline Happy Birthday

I hope you all had a lovely Easter
weekend.  Our kiddos were home, and
we were busy little bees moving. I just
was the supervisor. haha
I did manage to make us a small dinner,
with ham, turkey potatoes, and such.
We went to church in the morning and
we sang one of my all time favorite
Easter songs.  I even sang too.  Although
my hearing is a bit off and my voice
don't carry a tune.  I joined in anyways.
Click the link below if you'd like to hear it.
This song makes my heart so happy.
I made this card for my friend who
will be having a birthday in May.
I'm always perplexed on what to give
her for a gift.  She has truly spoiled
me over the years of our friendship
Our finances are not nearly as grand,
but I try to get her something.  I'm
happy to say I know what it is this year.
He card is the hint.  I finally found a tea
I can actually drink and not get a frown with.
I love sweet ice tea, but I'm not much of
a warm drinker   I like my occasional hot
chocolate extra chocolate and sugar please.
But otherwise no coffee or teas for this gal.
Until now.  I love this tea
Hot cinnamon sunset.  It reminds me of
red hot candies, and I love those.
This tea will be part of her gift.

I'm going to submit this card to the
challenge at:
Stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Tea Together
Happiest of Birthdays
Buffalo Check

In making the card I over emphasized the
circles in the sketch just so I could use
the paper doilies.  Then I spruced
them up with a little stamped check pattern.
It reminds me of a picnic blanket.  The rest
is all stamped, colored, and then try to fit
it all on my slimline card.  The gold embellishments
are the perfect touch to make the flowers pop.
I thought I'd include a few pictures of HP.
he is doing ok.  We took him in to have his
spring shave, and so he's all fresh, and
quite cold now.  He has to have his little blankie
to cover up with.  He is snoozing on
the couch right now as I type this.  Of course
he has a a kennel bed, and a little bed next to the
couch but he thinks he needs to be on the
couch so hence the reason we have a blanket
always covering it.  I mean who can say no
to this little guy.
He's still drinking, and eating so that's all
a bonus.  He don't seem to be in pain.
He's just a little sweetheart.  60 pounds of love.

Our family is in transition right now,
and could use prayers.  I am not at liberty to
speak on the details yet.  But if you
could pray for guidance and wisdom to make
the best choices that would very much be appreciated.
THANK YOU.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
And also,  for my dog, HP.

#FMS531~Textures & Frames, Cactus cuties stampin up

I'm looking forward to this evening.
It's pizza time and a movie.
Of course it will be the same DVD's that
we usually watch, but it's a party for us.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Textures & Frames, Cactus Cuties
I decided to use a little background stamp
behind each of the planters.  No reason
in particular as to the color I chose, it didn't go
with anything, but I just hadn't used that ink
in awhile, so I wanted to see if it was still juicy.
I like the vibrant colors of the pink and gold yellow.
HP noticed I was having a snack as I was
stamping, and he thought we should share.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
And also,  for my dog, HP.

I've also added a new tab to the bar at the top of my blog.
I'll be trying to sell a few of my older stamp sets.
So keep checking back to see if there is something
there you might like.

PP586~Springtime Table

Well, it's dreary again here in WI.  So I
decided to make a bright cheery card.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Penny Black: Springtime Table
It's a huge stamp, but I only used part of the
image on this card.
For my neutral color I chose a beige.  I used it on
the pots and I only colored in parts of them. I also
added a wee bit to the table rim.
The yellow ribbon is the perfect touch
to finishing this card.
HP loves to watch the world outside
the window, and sniff the fresh air.
He's still being quite playful even though
it hurts him to chew.  This is him
being silly laying on his back, which he
does all the time.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
And also,  for my dog, HP.

PP585 ~Let's Stick Together, MFT

Good Morning friends, my whole
day is so off schedule.  I never get to
my stamp room until the afternoon.
But I wanted to make sure to play along
with this fun challenge.
The stamp set featured in this card is:
MFT:  Let's Stick Together
Now in the morning here I usually do
my ice on my back, take care of all
that fun self care stuff, and then Bible
study.  Today is all backwards because
of this fun stamp set.  haha.
I had no idea where I was going with a design,
I just wanted bright and happy, I think I
got that accomplished with a bit of busy and
cluttered.  But it works,  and the message
is still a cute one.
Talking about cute one liners/puns, and such.
My son told me this last weekend when he
was here for my birthday.
Ten plus ten is twenty
eleven plus eleven is twenty -two (too)
haha..I laughed so hard.
Our family loves play on words.
Since I had a card with cactus, I thought
I'd share an update of my little succulents.
above my little cactus is hanging in there.
Below, little lola is working on a bloom.
I'm patiently waiting for it to open.
Here is my little beloved hound,
resting his chops watching the traffic
go by.  I love this dog so much, it's hard
to see what is happening to him.  But
I intend to make sure he is comfortable
and happy for as long as possible.
So sad because he loves toys,
all kinds, but squeak balls are his
favorite, now with his condition it's hard for
him to keep them in his mouth and chew
on them, hence the reason in the picture
below his little eyes are all blood shot.
Don't ya love how he rests his chin on his paw?
ooh he's a sweetie.
Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
