Grape Card 🍇

Hello Stampers.
I am sitting here drinking a warm tea with
my sweater on.   It got cold again here in WI.
At least the sun in shining and the birds are singing.
I suppose if I closed the windows it might warm
up, but I love the fresh air.  Well, as fresh as it
can be living next to the train yard.  (wink)
I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Softly sketched, half full,
cheerful daisies.
I fell in love with this stamp set because
of these grapes.  We bought this house
years ago, and someone had a lovely
homemade stained glass grape decoration
above the sink.  Which is still here.  I fell in love
with it.  I also for many years wore this
verse John 15:5 around my neck when I use
to run marathons and so I just love the idea
of grapes and fruit.  However, to eat, I don't really like them.
I sponged this circle using the stencil
below, and now wishing I would have
used a different color.  But nevertheless,
there it is.   What color would you have
sponged the half circle?
As you can see in the above picture, my desk is a mess,
well I had to clean it because of the ink pad
below.  YIKES.  it actually was crumbling apart,
still nice an juicy but what a mess. I had to toss it, and I
don't like to be wasteful, but this had little juicy ink
crumbles leaving smudges on everything, I had to wipe
the whole desk down.  I should post a picture of that too
since my desk isn't clean too often.  Perhaps I will on
my Instagram page.
See all those little bits.  and not dried out
in the least.  So you can imagine everywhere
had a purple smudge.  sigh.
John 15:5 KJV
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth
in me, and I in him, the same bringeth
forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Cheerful Daisies, Birthday Card

Greetings Friends.
I hope you are well, and spending
time being creative.
I have great dreams of trying to paint
my craft room, but I'm sure I won't be
able to get this accomplished until my husband
helps me.  There is a lot to move around and do.
Do you have any tips on how to easily remove
wall border?
For now I will stick to stamping cards,
reading and day dream about the plans I
want to do.
This card was a process.  I let the DSP
do the background work for me.  Hence,
the reason I didn't cover it with too many flowers.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Cheerful Daisies
Below are a few pictures of the card
before I settled on the finished product.
I absolutely Love daisies, so when I saw
this set I new this was the one for me.
The matching dies seem a bit
tricky, but I'm trying to figure it
out, it's a work in progress.
I drew those side lines, and honestly
it was throwing me off a bit trying to keep
everything center and level.  haha.  I love it.
I think it really makes the card pop, almost
like another dimension.
My bouquet is holding up lovely.
Look at those gorgeous daisies.
Doesn't this one look like a giant snowball
or something that belongs in the ocean?
Anyone know what it is called?
I really do love flowers, I think they are
so delightful and just make me happy.
Tomorrow my darling has off, so he will
go shopping for us and help me with the
garden outside, perhaps I will have pictures
of that next week.   We will see how far I
get.  About two weeks ago, I was in the sun
and had an allergic reaction,
and so still trying to recover from that.
Set my body into a flare up, and now dealing
with the itchiness and uncomfortableness
of that little treat.  Sigh.  The welts have
calmed down, but looks like chicken skin now.
Always something.

Here is little HP all curled up and snoozing.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a
right spirit within me.

Happy Birthday Card

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Birthday Wit
I thought it would be fun to have the words play
the major roll on the banners.  So that is what I did.
I carried the ribbon through on the inside too, however,
I didn't get it to lay flat, and by the time I tried to fix
the ribbon, it had already glued tight.
It was a wonderful way to use up some DSP scraps.
I've been in a bright sunshine mode every since
I learned how to make this cute little daisy crate.
I do believe I will add some die cut grass to the bottom
of it.  I think it will make it look a tad more finished.
This lovely cardinal was sitting outside my kitchen
window singing as I prepared lunch today.

I have to tell you all a quick little story.
Last night I was video chatting with my daughter around
11:30pm, when I noticed a shadow on the crown molding.
Well, I just thought perhaps because I am tired and my
eyes are weak that it was nothing, well the shadow starting
moving, and gosh anyways it was a centipede.  Now I loathe
these things, anyways I new I'd have to arm myself with a
flyswatter and my husband's huge shoe.  SO as I watched him
round the dining room crown molding he was coming in
hot at record speed towards my side of the table, well
I told my daughter I'm ready should he ever make it down
the wall so I can smash him to smithereens.   Well as
luck of the draw would have it, the darn thing tested his
ability to go over the round part of the molding and before I
even knew what was happening, geronimo he plummeted down
smack dab onto my new snake plant, well at this point I was screaming
and raising quite a ruckus.  HP my faith buddy come out to examine
the situation, and then proceeded under the table for a nap.  Well,
my darling daughter stuck with me online the whole time.  My
husband gets home from work, and looks for a few minutes as
well, and said no worries, he's gone.  I am like yeah until he shows up again.
Sigh.  The joy of living in an old house.  Daily battles with trying to claim
our home from these creatures.  Every day it's a mouse thing or some
other insect/spider thing.   Any ways we have most of our pantry items
in plastic bins, and traps all over the place for the rodents but these
centipedes are no fun.  So today I was in the bathroom washing up
after being outside a few minutes in the garden and I was shocked
there he was crawling up the bathroom wall.  Didn't he think he
was special scaling walls, well my sweetheart came to the rescue
immediately and I'm happy to report one down.  I don't feel a bit blue
about it, and perhaps might even sleep better knowing it.  However,
I can't let myself think there could be a family of them.
I am not prepared for that. YIKES.  haha
Furthermore, I'd like to know why he couldn't stay on the wall
with all those legs?  Creepy things. Ugh.

That's all folks, thanks for reading my silly story.

Psalm 104:12KJV
By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation,
which sing among the branches.

Butterflies, bumble bees, and daisies

I was inspired to make this card because of the
flowers my husband got me for our 31st
wedding anniversary on May 2nd.   I love
daisies, and there is one little daisy on here.
Did you spot it?
I had these delightful wooden bumble
bees in a jar for years, so I figured it was
time to start using some of my stash.
Isn't it funny how one accumulates things
like buttons, sequins, brads and little doodads?
Or is that just me?
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Daisy Lane, A touch of Ink
The DSP did most of the work on this card.
The daisy I stamped twice and punched out
and then I glued them together so it made
it look like the daisy had more petals.  I added
a fluffy yellow embellishment to the center.
The sentiment just seemed to be perfect with
the butterflies, sensing hope and change.
Here are some close up pictures of the
lovely daisies in my floral arrangement.

Turtle Card

I wanted to make another card for my Grandma,
she is such a cutie.  She is 99 and has a lot of spunk.
I hope I will be blessed to live a long life like her.
I think she will get a kick out of this card.
I will submit it to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Turtle Friends, Sweet Conversations
I always struggle with diamond shapes. but
nevertheless, I keep trying.  I stamped these diamonds,
with what I thought resembled a painted turtle shell.
Then I just got busy stamping the cute little
characters, coloring and cutting them out.
I will share a quick story about a turtle, I have
many, but the most shocking one is this:
You all know we live next to a train yard, and
a heavy traffic road, so lots of commotion,  well
one day our old dog, Paco(the one before Hunter)
was in the yard, and he was running around tossing
a rock up in the air, catching it and playing with it,
we come to find out it was a turtle, he didn't
hurt the little fella at all, but I'm sure he was quite
scared since Paco was thinking it was such a fun
game.  We have no idea how or where this turtle
came from, but Paco found it and was thrilled to
have a new friend in the yard.  haha.
I had to take a picture of this HUGE strawberry, I'm
so happy to have a few berries again.  Our grocery
store hadn't had them in quite some time.  My
husband surprised me with them.  He also surprised
me with these lovely flowers for our 31st wedding
Anniversary on May 2nd.
He knows I love daisies especially, and
look at that lovely basket weave the jar
came in.  It's fantastic.  I love them.
Col 3:14KJV
And above all these things put on charity, (love)
which is the bond of perfectness.
