Wildflower Path

This card came together in a whole
different way that what I had originally intended.
I'm still pleased with the finished look, but
goodness gracious it was a struggle.
Of course I like the inside much better, just
something simple and sweet about it.
The DSP is a bit bold for the very
delicate flower I stamped and cut out.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Wildflower Path
HP giving one of his sweet little side looks,
as he holds tight to his green pickle.  haha

Matt 6:30 KJV
Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which
to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he
not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

February Flower

I took one more try with the sketch at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Irresistible Blooms
Petal Park
I  decided for the stripes to just color them
with my markers.  Do a little freehand
creativity.  Instead of my last card with
all the measuring (which I'm no good at)
I just scribbled away on this one.
It seems a bit more springy, and after the load of snow
we got, I figured I'd try to think spring thoughts.
I sort of like the rustic, elementary
look of this card.
I'm sharing a picture of my plant that
is now blooming even if the snow is in
the backdrop.  haha
Here's a picture of the little snowfall we
had this past week.
This picture of HP is from a few nights ago.
We were all snuggled up watching tv.
Isaiah 40:8 KJV
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:
but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Christmas Moose

Of course I would make a Christmas card
in February, especially since it has a moose.
It was also a lovely way to use some
Christmas scrap DSP.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Merry Moose
My husband had an Aunt who lived
in Alaska, and she would write me,
telling me about the moose she saw in
her back yard.   How fabulous.
I have a train yard.  haha.
Speaking of trains, this train car had a whole
Christmas scene painted on it.  I thought
how fitting with the card I made.
Of course when I went to get a better picture
another engine came down the line, blocking
this one.  So this is all I was able to get.
Psalm 145:9 KJV
The LORD is good to all: and his tender
mercies are over all his works.

Carrot Card

I haven't had much of a chance to be
in my stamp room this past week.
I had an eye appointment to which I was
very nervous about, and for good reason
apparently.  Things are just not going so
smooth as one would hope, but such is life.
I just told my kiddos, I'm going to keep
going and see as much as I can while I still
can.  Same with everything, reading, stamping.
Just going to keep living. and loving life.
Even in the valley.
So grateful for yesterday, we all got to hang out and
go to the train show. It was a delightfully fun time.
Then we went to chick-fil-a which is a fun treat since
we don't have one were I live, and we love it.
I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Thanks a Bunch
Those carrots are lovely to stamp.  However,
I didn't know what to do with the little leaves,
so I just added an assortment of them.   I used
the carrot lines for my grass behind the sentiment.
Just gave it a garden sort of vibe.

Gen 1:11KJV
And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass,
the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind,
whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

Sympathy Card

It's always sad when one has
to make a sympathy card.    I know it's part
of life, but when it is a young person it
just seems all the more heartbreaking.
I decided to use the lovely sketch at:
Sunday Stamps for inspiration.
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Woven Heirlooms, Flourish Phrases,
Irresistible Blooms
I recently had someone ask if I ever share measurements.
I honestly never thought to do such a thing.
or even for that fact the colors of card stock or ink
pads.  I am such a visual person I just assume everyone
who makes cards kind of has an idea.  I suppose that
was quite ignorant on my part.  and speaking
of ignorance, I'm not too handy with measuring, my idea
of using a ruler is usually guessing.  wink.
For instance this card took me multiple times
trimming down the sides to get
 a nice "thick" border.
I wasn't too sure about adding the jewel
embellishments to a sympathy card, but I
thought it just needed a little something more.
Here is my little darling.  I've been noticing the
gray coming in along his jaw line.  I'm in
denial that he will be 12 this year.

Job 1:21
"And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb,
and naked shall I return thither: The LORD gave,
and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the
name of the LORD."

Valentine for my Sweetheart

I made this fun card for my darling Husband.
I will enter it in the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:
Layering Circle Dies
Watercolor Shapes
Everything Festive
Country Bouquet
I think the DSP really brings this
charming little Valentine together sweetly.
Ephesians 5:25 KJV
Husbands love your wives, even as Christ also
loved the church, and gave himself for it.

I truly am blessed with a Loving Husband.
So thankful for our family.

Valentine Floral

I made this floral Valentine card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up: Country Bouquet, Petal Park
I learned a new trick for those flowers, so exciting.
After the flowers are stamped and punched
out, simply put the paper petal in the palm of your
hand and take your glue bottle and press in the middle,
it curves the flowers so nicely, and gives such nice dimension.
I also added little sequins to the center of each flower.
On the inside I just took a black marker and made
doodle line around the whole card.  I love that look.
This DSP could have been a bit busy if not tamed
down with that white cardstock,  It evened
everything out.

John 15:12 KJV
This is my commandment,
that ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Happy Valentine's Day Card

I am on a Valentine card making spree.
I just want to make sure I have enough
to mail out to all my friends and family.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Country Bouquet
I used some lovely polka dot DSP for the side,
and washi tape with hearts.  I then double
stamped the heart in the center.
I raised the sentiment using dimensionals,
and I put it on a slant.
Mark 12:31 KJV
And the second is like, namely this, Thou
shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.  There is none
other commandment greater than these.

I'm asking for prayer again regarding my
eyes, and BP.  Things are out of control,
and I can't get in to the eye doctor until April.
and the other Doctor until March.  So frustrating.
Thank you for caring and praying.  Hugs to you all.
