CTS #365 In The Tropics, Stampin Up, Aloha, Pineapple

I made this card for the challenge at:

The die used in this card is from:
Stampin Up:  In the Tropics

I used the coordinating DSP

I struggle with measuring, and especially angles, but I surprised myself, after only a few tries.  I got it.  I only wish I would have layered it more. I think that would have made the DSP more dramatic.   I do love that cute little pineapple.

FMS428 Let It Ride, Wishing you Well, Stampin Up

Today I made this card for the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:

Stampin Up:  Let it Ride
Stampin Up: Wishing You Well.

I had a whole different card in my vision.  OH it was going to be fabulous.  Well after stamping a few trial runs with a flower an owl and double circles, I gave up.  Scratched that idea and moved on to this card. It just sort of came together rather quickly, so I figured it was meant to be.   It reminds me the horse shoe wreaths they put around the horses necks.  and of course the big bow just had to be added to symbolize this is a prize horse.

I like the sentiments on this card.  I think they go well together.

I thought this was a neat little visual reminder:

Sketch #361 Music From The Heart, Stampin Up Just a Note

I stretched the sketch a bit this week at:

The stamp set featured in this card is:

Stampin Up:  Music From the Heart

I had this great washi tape with notes in my stash so I thought it would be fun to use it with this card.  I love the vintage tone this card has.    At first I thought I'd be oh so clever by putting the 3 notes in place for the Happy Birthday tune, well the first few notes are the same, and I didn't think it looked as nice as scattered notes.   The little scallop if you will,  on top and below the keyboard is a piece of card stock ripped and then sponged.  I really wanted to color the heart in the treble clef sign, but I didn't want to distract from the rest of the card.   But after much deliberation perhaps too much, I added it.  Back to trying to get a nice photo, only to forget I didn't color the heart on the inside.  Well I will get that done too.

May you be encouraged, that this too shall pass.   May God bless our country with unity and healing.

I made this card for the challenge at:

The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Bella & Friends

I added a bit of glossy accents to the balloons to give them a reflection of being real.   I think the card turned out so cute.  I am really starting to love the white space challenges.

With these difficult days upon us, I hope you are all staying safe and healthy.  May God bring healing to our country.

Sketch #360 Timeless Tropical, Stampin Up. Happy Birthday

I made this card for the challenge at:

The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Timeless Tropical

I think my dad is going to LOVE this DSP.   So this will be for his Birthday.

I added the little ukulele because I have one and have started playing it.  My dad plays many instruments, but when I won my ukulele he was thrilled.  My son in law gave me helpful tips because he too can play many instruments.  SO I'm going to try and learn the Happy Birthday tune for dad.

I'm also including a picture of the little package I sent out on Saturday.  I got the neatest order in my etsy shop.  A grandmother purchased one of my coloring cards and asked if I'd be willing to send it directly to her granddaugher with a note from Grandma and Grandpa.  So she told me what she wanted to say and I printed it out and taped it to the package.  That was so Sweet.

Also adding a picture of my desk drawer.  I finally got all my papers organized, after a nice sized paper cut and some issues of OCD getting in the way. I decided to put all shades of the same color in one pocket.  We will see how that works out for me.

Today I made some homemade salisbury steaks and mashed potatoes for my daughter and son in law, who so lovingly dropped off a 4 pack of toilet paper for us.  Who knew that the toilet paper would become such a fast selling item.  We are grateful that the kiddos thought of us.  So hence the dinner I made.

Hope you are all doing well.  So grateful for card making and sending to brighten peoples days.

PP482 Rise & Shine, Love Is Kindness, Stampin Up, He Has Risen G-Studio, Happy Easter

Image preview I was most excited to make this card, because the idea had been swimming in my mind all night, but when I set to work to make it today, nothing seemed to go according to the plans in my head.  As usual. haha.  I put the first card below so you could see I really aimed to make this an Easter Card.  But the way the cross was in the center and the little rhinestones around the edge made it look more like a helm for a ship to me.  So I scratched that idea, and thought why not use a little of the ribbon I received as a gift to make a cup warmer for my mug.  Which turned into a vase.
The stamp sets featured in this card are:

Stampin Up:  Rise & Shine
Stampin Up:  Love is Kindness
G-Studio: He Has Risen

I made this card for the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:

Stampin Up:  Check You Out
Stampin Up:  More Great Greetings (1993)
Sugar Pea Design:  For the Graduate

With all the growing concern that our Great country is going through, and all the negative reports on the media, let us remember not to panic or succumb to fear.
Image may contain: possible text that says 'Remember to Pray Every time you are tempted to worry, pray instead. Remember that we are sons and daughters of the most high God. Let's not forget to pray. Let's not worry as worrying does nothing but cause anxiety. Let's pray to our Heavenly Father, which accomplishes much. Let's not forget that our Heavenly Father is the God of the Universe. Keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking! Your worry list should be your prayer list!'

FMS426 Rise & Shine, Stampin Up, Tea

I made this quick little card for the challenge at:

After my last card, I just needed to step back, breath and do something simple. No DSP and only one layer.
It felt good to just go back to the basics.

TMS #545 Parisian Beauty Stampin up, Merci

What a fun card to make.  I'm not to thrilled with the floral DSP, but I know many people love these prints, so I'm learning to work with them.  The fun for me was it was not the standard A2 card. This card is made to fit the #10 envelope which means letter size.  So it was a great challenge to  do.

The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Parisian Beauty

Unfortunately, I will be calling the company because my stamp is off centered and one side don't stamp nicely so I had to use the dies in this set to make this card.  I will include a picture to show you what I mean.  In fact all the stamps in this set are just like that.  I must have got a wonky set.   But I know Stampin up and they will graciously help me out.

I even decorated the envelope and as you can see, because the stamps are off centered I couldn't seem to line things up.  But it's just an envelope.  So I let it go.

I almost forgot to dot the "i" in Merci, but phew, I remembered the little rascal was still stuck in the die.

I will submit this card to the challenge at:

The thank you sentiment was purchased at Michael's

I do not have the punch for these flowers yet, so I just cut them out.  I really love how they look cascading down.

#TGIFC254 Love is Kindness, Enjoy Life, Stampin Up Thank you

I have a new stamp 😊
Actually it is an older stamp but new to me.  I found it on Etsy.   Can you believe that?   I'm trying to sell my stamps and cards, and then I turn around and buy myself a stamp.  Oh boy, I'm not breaking even here.  haha

Any ways I couldn't wait to play with it.  The stamp is from:
Stampin Up:   Love is Kindness
I also used:
Stampin Up:  Enjoy Life

I think it's just delightful.  It is one nice sized stamp that has a lovely sentiment:  "the essence of love is kindness"  However, I chose not to use that sentiment, and instead opted to turn this card into a thank you note.   So after stamping and coloring I cut the flowers out.

I took another picture with more light so you could compare the two images.

Sketch #359~Under My Umbrella, Stampin Up, Penny Black, April Showers

I can't believe I missed a challenge last week. YIKES.   I just got wrapped up in trying to make things and organize stuff for my Etsy shop.  I even made gift certificates for my customers in hopes they will come back and shop again.   It is my way of saying thank you to them.  In fact this past weekend I had 3 sales.  WHOOHOO.. That was amazing to me.  Of course my dear husband says I'm losing out because of the shipping costs.  But perhaps it will even out in the end I always hope.

Well today I had made this card fro the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:

Stampin Up:  Under My Umbrella
Penny Black:  April Showers

The DSP is a bit much for me, it actually reminds me of a circus or something, but nevetheless I tried to tame it down with the umbrellas.  I added a few little rhinestones to act like rain droplets.

I've also included a picture of the gift certificates.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
