SSC212~ You Always Deliver, Barnyard Babies, Making Christmas Bright, Stampin Up

I made this card for my Husband.  Today is his 49th Birthday.🎂    He is not much for celebrating, so I love the sentiment on the inside of the card.. "Get Excited"    Apparently he did get excited about his favorite treats I made last night, because this morning when I took a picture of the apple crisp, there were a few bars missing.😉  I included a picture for evidence. haha

I have to say this card did NOT in any way go at all in the direction I wanted it too.  The only thing that I stamped the same in my minds eye was the background circle.. That I planned from the get go, however the other pieces where all because everything else I tried just didn't seem to have the "aha" I was looking for.

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  You Always Deliver
Stampin Up: Barnyard Babies (sentiment on front)
Stampin Up: Making Christmas Bright

I will submit this card to the challenge at: Sunday Stamps

I have a quick question.   Do you sell things on Etsy?   I do, and I'm happy with my little shop, however they have been saying customers are happier with free shipping.   Goodness shipping is expensive, so in order to fix it in the cost of cards, or projects I feel like it would be to expensive and no one would buy cards.   What are your opinions?  I'm most interested.  Would you buy a card for say $7.50 if it was free shipping.. or would you pay $4.00 for a card and pay $3.50 shipping?
Thanks for your input..  Please check out my little store and let me know what you think.   PJ's PROJECTS

Sketch #331~Vintage Leaves, For All Things, Stampin Up

I thought I'd try the retiform technique with the card I made for the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:

Stampin Up:  Vintage Leaves
Stampin Up: For All Things

I have made a retiform card in the past, however I forgot how, so wanted to look it up, I forgot it required shading and such.   I included a picture with no shading and the same leaf.. It looks a bit cleaner to me, but yet busy.  Well actually they both look a bit busy.   However the top card that I'm submitting to the challenge seemed to have a warmer "autumn" feel to it.

I'm also including a few pictures of the projects I've been working on for my Etsy Shop.
Oh gosh this kleenex box card is super cute, I can't wait to make a few more.  I think they be perfect for gift giving.
Talking about gifts, I thought I'd make gift certificates too.. so parents could put them in lunch boxes, or on pillow tops to reward good behavior with ice cream, extra screen time, or perhaps a movie with mom or dad.
Lastly I'm proud of this little card calendar.. it is perfectly sized to fit in the standard A2 card envelopes, and yet will stand up on a desk or counter top with out tipping because I glued a strip on the inside to keep if from falling on itself.

Gosh I enjoy making projects.
Now let's just hope I sell a few items at my shop.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

I made this card for the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card today are:

Stampin Up:  Cauldron Bubble
Stampin Up: Spooky Sweets

I thought the die cut cob webs were perfect for the corners.

It inspired me to make a few gift certificate cards for my Etsy Shop.  I've included a picture.
I will share some more pictures of my latest projects in my next post. You'll have to come back to see the cutest kleenex box, and card calendar.

HSSCC321 Friendly Conversation, Stampin Up

Oh gosh so much I want to share with ya all, however, time is short for the challenge, so I guess I will have to give ya the scoops on the next post.
I didn't do any stamping this weekend, so today I was looking for a challenge to enter and came across the one at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Friendly Conversation

I kept it clean and simple, so I could hurry the card along for the challenge.  I think it turned out ok.  At first the sentiment was the pretty peacock but it just didn't seem to pack a punch like it did in soft suede.. so that's the one I chose  to enter.

Thank you for taking time to stop in for a visit.

Sketch #330~Beautiful Baubles, Delightful Decorations Stampin Up

I just wanted to make one more card for the challenge at:
I decided to make that Christmas card after all.  I love making them, and I'm way behind this year.  Yikes.  So I better get with the program.
Any ways the stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Beautiful Baubles

Stampin Up:  Delightful Decorations

I think the two sets complimented each other well.
I was inspired by some wrapping paper my daughter used last year for my Christmas gift.   I saved it.  I do things like that thinking I will have the perfect opportunity to use it.  AND..I did with this card.  It's the background paper and the stripe going down behind the ornaments.   I even took a picture of the two wrapping papers.   When my kids give a gift it's so special to me, even the wrapping makes me smile so I usually put in a box to save, but I decided to use some of this to make a card.  I will most likely give this card to my daughter.   I love the vibrant colors in the ornaments.  The next big decision was gold or silver for the ribbon, and since I have no silver ribbon, just string, I chose the gold so it would stand out a bit more.  I also die cut out a few spruce needles for a background.

I also took a picture of my sunflower, which apparently is having an attitude problem today, and refuses to follow the sun.  haha.. It made me laugh just because it's the tallest one on the plant and it's complete turning it's back so as to not even look at the sun.  Makes me think of my Christian life sadly and how sometimes and especially over the past years since my nerve damage I refuse to do my Bible Study, so in almost the same way as my sunflower.. I was turning my back on the "Son"  I'm ashamed to admit it, but folks, that's the truth.   anyways.. chalking it up as lessons from a sunflower.   We are not going to be our best bloom when we turn our back on the Sun or in my case the SON.

Thanks for listening to me ramble on, and for taking time to read my blog.

RRCB117~Fall for All, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
I decided to make an Autumn card because I love this adorable old set.   It's Stampin Up:  1999 Fall for all.
I also had the chance to use some lovely fall papers that I've had in my stash for quite sometime.    I think it works lovely together.  I took a picture with the flash on so you could see the gold really shines and the ribbon helps enhance the background paper.

I also made a batch of brookies for my husband today.  It was the first time I tried this recipe.  They are half chocolate chip cookie and half brownie.   It was quite an ordeal in  making of them.  I hope he will like them.   I know HP  was quite the helper, standing guard at my feet just in case a yummy little morsel would fall to the floor.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Sketch #330~Very Versailles, Daisy Lane, Beauty Abounds, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Beauty Abounds
Stampin Up:  Daisy Lane
Stampin Up:  Very Versailles

At first all I could see were Christmas ornaments, using this sketch, so that is what I had intended for this card, however, it didn't seem to come together as nicely as I though it would, so perhaps I'll try again with another later on this week.
I added a bit of clear wink of stella to the center of my daisies to make them shimmer.   I love that stuff.

Also including a couple pictures of this unique dragonfly visiting me today.   How fabulous I finally got a picture, however I was not brave enough to move in closer for a better picture.  I did learn what they mean though: "In almost every part of the world, the Dragonfly symbolizes change, transformation, adaptability, and self-realization. The change that is often referred to has its source in mental and emotional maturity and understanding the deeper meaning of life. ... TheDragonfly moves with elegance and grace"
Well isn't that interesting?   I thought it was.

CTS #335.~Incredible Like You, Stampin Up

Today I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Incredible Like You

Choosing colors for my card is probably the most difficult part of card making for me.  I played around with yellows, pinks, and blues, but fresh fig won out with the gorgeous grape horizontal lines.  I added an extra helping of clear wink of stella to the flower so it would really pop with sparkle.

I'm going to share a link again to the Brain and Amy Gofundme page.   If you can take a moment to read their story, and perhaps share on your blogs and facebook pages that would be great.  Also, she gives and address now to where we can send CARDS.. so I think as card makers we can decorate that room up like wall paper.

Thank you for stopping by to see my cards, and read my blog.

Challenge #334 - Sketch~ Dino Days, Stampin Up

The card I made today I will submit to the challenge at:
I was most excited to play with my new stamp set called:  Dino Days from Stampin up.
I wasn't quite sure how to stamp the palm tree, so I thought I should do a practice run on a scrap piece of paper, well folks, my head must have been in the clouds because I ended up stamping directly on the piece you see on the card.  I'm so glad it turned out ok.

I'm also adding a little blurry picture of the hummingbird that visited my yard yesterday.  My gosh they don't stand still for long, so getting a picture was difficult.  At least I have a little proof he liked our pine tree.

Sketch #329~Harvest Hellos, Stampin Up

This card did not at all go in the direction I had intended.  My goodness I was picturing an apple card for teachers.  Sort of a back to school card, and that is before I realized I had chosen the wrong leaf.  So I then decided to roll with it and go fall/pumpkin.
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Harvest Hellos

I pulled out some fancy little ribbon that matched the leaves lovely, and added a LOT of glossy accents to make the pumpkin shine.

I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
I'm also including a picture of my pal "HP"  he had his dr. appointment.  Please forgive the mess in the background.  The little fella had some shots and blood drawn.  He is on 2 different medications, one for an infection in his paws from the allergy and the other is his allergy pill until November.  He was not having a good day, but still such a sweet heart 💗🤎💚

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
