Sketch #396~Wonderful Year, Winter Woods, Stampin Up Merry Christmas

I hope you all had a very Happy Thanksgiving.
We had a wonderful time.  I am still trying to
unwind from the flurry of baking and such.
I made 3 treats.  Seems excessive for our little family.
But wanted to cover all grounds.
I made the usual pumpkin pie, and then pumpkin
bars with cream cheese frosting.  Lastly the ever
so sweet chocolate, caramel oatmeal bars, that
only my son and I like.
So much to be thankful for, Our home, health, family.
I have some happy news.  I won a stamp
set a few weeks back, from Linda, at the stamping school
I made her a fun column card and she featured it
in a sweet little video.  I wasn't able to download it,
but if you go to her fb page you will see it.  I
just took a snap shot of it here below.
My dear friend Nancy from Nanny's Pansy Patch,
actually told me about the sweet video, and
gave me the idea to post it here on my blog.
I'm so grateful for her friendship.
Sometimes I just don't have all my little ducks
in a row.  So it's nice to have friends help me out.
The card I made today, I will submit
to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Wonderful Year
Stampin Up:  Winter Woods
I really like the birch trees I stamped in the background.
I decorated the pine tree with that lovely shimmery
embossing pasted, and gems.  I added the adhesive
snowflakes around the sentiment.
While I was decorating my Christmas tree card,
my darling husband was decorating outside trees.
Well I've shared quite a bit today, and I also just
realized I deleted the pictures off my phone,
because my little phone is on the fritz.  So now how
will I share them to instagram?  Oh what joy.  I'm
always doing something to keep my kids busy helping me.
One more reason to thankful.  They do indeed help. 💕

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

CTS #399~ In the Pines, Merry Moose, Stampin Up, Winter Window, Paper Trey Ink

I decided to keep things clean and simple
for this card today.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  In The Pines
Stampin up:  Merry Moose
PaperTreyInk:  Winter Window
For the square on the sketch I used
a piece of window sheet.
I then stamped the sentiment with
stazon ink.  And to my surprise
it worked and didn't smudge.  YAY.
I added the above picture so you can see
that I did include that element of the
sketch, it's just a clear sheet.
I only added two little glue dots to hold
on the window sheet, because I didn't want
them to be noticed.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Challenge 484~ Merry Moose, Stampin Up, MFT, Merry Christmoose

I haven't been able to post this is awhile, So I'm
super excited to say:  I have two new friends
following my blog.  I truly appreciate it.
I was having a hard time concentrating today, with
my Bible study, and then I noticed a strange thing.
Mark 7:16 is not in the NIV translation, it's in the
footnotes, but not in the passage itself, interesting.
So it was quite a clear confirmation to me today
that I want to keep trying to study in the KJV.
Any ways, I then ventured off into my little room
to make a card.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Merry Moose
MFT:  Merry Christmoose
I love how this little country Christmas card
turned out.   Right down to the pop of
color in the Merry sentiment.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

FMS462~ For Unto us, City of David, Stampin Up, Merry Christmas

I'm on a roll today.  Haha.  Card number 2
I just purchased this older wooden stamp
set.   So it's new to me and I couldn't wait
to play with it.
I told myself no more buying old retired sets,
and then bam, I find one I think I need, and
before I know it, I'm searching
ebay and etsy.   Now I just have to sell a few
of mine in my  Etsy shop to help
support the hobby.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  For Unto Us
Stampin Up:  City of David ( I think it's from 2006)
If you know the year for sure please let me know.
I thought it was great for the sketch.
Clean and simple.
I did add a dab of clear wink of stella to the
star.  It just needed a little sparkle.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

HSSIC352~ Toile Christmas, Let It Snow, Warm & Toasty, In the Pines Stampin Up Merry Christmas

Day 2 with a slimline card. This time I chose
to have the card go the vertical way instead
of horizontal like yesterday's card.

It worked best with that lovely tall
snowman.
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Toile Christmas
Stampin Up:  Let It Snow
Stampin Up:  Warm & Toasty
Stampin Up:  In The Pines
I also used the stampin up:  shimmery white
embossing paste, and the adhesive backed
snowflakes.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
I was inspired by the pines and the snowmen.
I think the most difficult part about making
a slimline card is the picture taking, but
then of course it's always an issue with me.
I'm thinking about making more little desk top
calendars for my etsy shop again.  Do you
think people would keep a "snowman" theme one
up all year?    I need ideas for calendar cards.  I want
the people to be happy while looking at the little scene
I create next to the tear off calendar.
Any suggestions?

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

TMS#581~ Snow is Glistening, Gnome For The Holidays, Stampin Up Merry Christmas

I made this fun slimline card for the challenge

I just love making these long cards.  It's so much fun.
They remind me of the humor cards back
in the day, that my parents would exchange.
It's just lovely to get a long card, because well
it's not a bill, even though it's that size envelope.
I think it's Fabulous happy mail.

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Snow is Glistening
Stampin Up:  Gnome for the Holidays
I also added stampin up shimmery white embossing paste.
and that lovely snowflake medallion worked
swell to help fill the space in the second square,
with the sentiment.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
