RRCB72 & Challenge 25 ~Loads of Love

I made this card for a couple different challenges but mostly for my nephew's birthday.  I  thought this lovely 2004 Loads of Love little truck by stampin up would be adorable for him.  Of course I imagine that is me taking the fall scenic route to his house to drop off a load of birthday presents along with a  fun ATV too.  Quite a bit of fussy cutting but worth it.  I two toned the truck by just coloring over the top a couple times to give certain areas a darker look I did the same technique with the ATV.  Now for the challenges:

Challenge #25

Our theme for the new challenge is

"Anything Goes"
Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I invite you to sign up and follow my blog that would be awesome and I would appreciate it so very much.

FMS307~Wondrous Wreath & Holly Berry Happiness

Hello my friends.  I needed to make a card that would help cheer me up a bit.  You see I've been dealing with some "extra bonus" health problems.. grrr and to top off the stress in my life the mother of the bride outfit I purchased online did not fit.. and they won't take it back.  I even had my hubby help with measurements.  So sad  and frustrated,  we don't have that kind of money to waste, all I can think is: gosh I could have used it to buy a couple stamp sets.  Now that's not happening.   Any ways.. sorry for the long intro.
Onto the card.  I used some lovely foil silver paper for the background pieces. and my Wondrous Wreath from stamping up.. the one where I lost the bow die from that set.. I'm still searching.  So in the meantime I used the sweet little bow from Holly Berry Happiness.  I think it actually works really nice here because the sentiment which is washi tape is huge for the wreath.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
Thank you all so much for stopping by.  I invite you to follow my blog, or perhaps my pinterest board or facebook page.  You can find  the links on the top bar.

TMS #422~Spooky Halloween

I knew when I saw the challenge at: Tuesday Morning Sketches
I had to play along.  I have been meaning to try and make Halloween cards.  I'm not very good at them.  Perhaps it's my very limited supply of "spooky stamps"  or perhaps my heart is just not in it.   I usually go for the fall theme.  I do have this lovely spider web embossing folder that I wanted to incorporate along with some dollar stamps that I used for the images all except one.. that pumpkin you see is from Stampin up, Say it Simply 2005.  It's a square stamp ↓                      Image result for stampin up say it simply I just cut it out so it would work here and plopped a little witch hat on him.  The upper left hand corner is all washi tape from the lovely Christmas gift that my daughter gave me.  There is a variety of tapes for each season.  It's great.  I added two pictures of the card.  One with a flash to show off the witches little rhinestone. haha
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Please browse around and perhaps if you are so willing you might click that blue button in the left column and become a follower of my blog.  YAY!! That would make my day.

Sketch #231 ~Autumn Harvest, Pumpkin Patch

Well after I saw the challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge
I knew I wanted to play along.  So I began the pumpkin card this morning.  I mean seriously I don't want to even post a picture of the one I made first..but I'm the kind of stamper where it's all trial an error.  Nothing starts off good.  It's a process.
Ugh!!  I do believe the top one is the best one.   I just loved that twine so much and wanted to use it.  Then after stamping, coloring and cutting out all the pumkins (for both cards)  I started putting them on top of the twine and it just got all wrinkled and ugly.  So scratch that idea and onto the next.  Just a little bow of twine on the bottom pumpkin that also holds the sentiment.  I used my 2007 Autumn Harvest set from stamping up. I layered the pumpkins and tossed in a few leafs to give it more dimension.  I'm really pleased with the top card.

Thank you so much for taking time to visit me.  I hope you like what you see and will take a look around my blog.  I'd love to have you follow me.  It's as simple as clicking that blue button in the left hand column.  You have no idea how happy it makes this gal.

SSC162 HIP TO BE SQUARE~Lovely as a Tree & Acorny Thank you

Good Monday Morning.  I made a bit of a whimsical  fall card for the challenge at: Sunday Stamps
I say that because the size of the acorns verses the tree.  haha.. well I thought it was cute.  The acorns are so playful, and I get a kick out of this stamp sets name "Acorny Thank you"   I also used Lovely as a tree, both stamp sets are from stamping up.  I think the background paper worked lovely with this fall festive card.  Added a bit of twine to "tie" it all together.

I also added a picture of HP.. he loves to tree squirrels.  This time I thought for sure he was going to climb that tree.😉  We have a huge black walnut tree in the yard, so fall is a very fun time for him.   The squirrels start "harvesting" the nuts and HP is just waiting for the black walnuts to fall.   We love our black walnut tree but it's a HUGE mess.  A bit of history as much as I know any ways.  They are the last to get their leaves and first to lose them.  The wood is worth a lot of money..(we're not chopping it down though)  and is very beautiful.  The nuts are good to eat I've heard, but they stain everything and have an awful smell that is hard to wash off your hands.  They look like little green apples, but now harvest time they get black.  They are messy, you have to be careful walking underneath because the nuts on the ground will twist your ankle, and they are always dropping.  I imagine like an apple tree.  Also not sure if they are good for dogs.. at least not HP, he gets sick, so we try to keep him from eating them, but he wants to.  Any ways it's spans the width of our yard.  Is a super lovely shade tree, when the kids were small we had rope swings hanging from the branches.  The kids loved it.  We all still appreciate this beauty.   I will share a picture of it I took this morning, because the picture of HP you only see the ends of it's long branches.  I also will include a winter picture that we have framed because it was beautiful.. and ya all know I love summer much much more, but still this picture was lovely.
Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you know how much it means to me that you're here.  Please click the blue button in the left hand column to follow my blog.  I've also included a "find me" on the top bar so we can connect on social media too.
Thank you

SCS Hope in the Psalms

I was inspired this morning by a Bible study I'm doing with an online group on facebook.  Discovering Hope in the Psalms
My book came on Saturday so I have been diligently trying to play catch up. It has proven to be so worth the wait.  I encourage you to click on the link above to join the group.  I ordered my study guide from Christianbook.com
I thought this also worked well with my SCS (Scripture Card Sunday)  I just wrote it out today.  A bit sloppy at that, but I didn't want to write it in the water for fear I'd really mess up the whole scene I created. 😉 This is bigger then the standard A2 cards I usually make, in fact it's not a card, more like a giant post card.  So I'm just going to glue it in my book. This lovely study encourages our creative side, so hence the project.  I'll share a couple of pictures. I probably shouldn't have used markers to color, since it came through the other side. Next time I'll use the colored pencils.

#tttc016~ Sheltering Tree

I might have taken the Tic Tac Toe Challenge a bit to literal.  :)  especially being I chose the left column down

I used a window for the "window" card.  Just thought it would work lovely show casing a fall scene.  The copper metallic window frame just works well with the autumn colors.  By the way every time I say the word "copper" it reminds me of Fox and the Hound ..the little dog in the movie was named Copper.  How sweet.  Ok.. need to focus. so back to the card. I used my stampin up: Sheltering Tree.  The sentiment is from Close to my heart: many thanks.   I don't have any dimension tape to make the window scene into a shaker card but nevertheless I added a few sequins behind the acetate paper to give it some character.  Now that's it done and picture taken.. a nice pumpkin would have looked great or a squirrel. 😉 ya all know how much I love them little fellas.  Well I posted a few different pictures to hopefully capture the details in the card.    I even took one with the flash on so you could see the reflection in the window pane and the fabulous metallic paper. . lol.  Any ways thanks so much for stopping by.  I sure do appreciate it.  I invite you to take a look around since you're here.  I have quite a few cards on my blog and pinterest.  A few projects, and many pictures.  I'd love to have you click on that very intimidating blue button in the left hand column and follow my blog.  That would be so sweet of you.

FMS306 Beautiful YOU Fall Fashion

Today we are hitting the runway with this fall fashion show.  haha  Well, at least my card using the stampin up, Beautiful you gal is going with her lovely dress, that is matching the background.  A bit of seamstress work had to be done as far as fussy cutting the dress out to fit the model. But overall not to shabby.  Perhaps shabby chic, if that would qualify.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at: Freshly Made Sketches
I tried to keep this card plain and simple, crisp edges and such, then after I took the picture I could see where I ran my bone folder down over it to give it that nice crease in the paper.  Drats.. but honestly it only shows up with the flash on the camera.. You can't really see it when you just look at it.  So still good to send to someone.
I am also adding a few pictures of the morning doves that visit our yard frequently.
Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you will take a moment to take a look around at my other cards, projects and pictures.  I try to post everyday so it's something new and exciting.  I'd love to have you click that blue button in the left hand column and follow me.  Thanks ever so much.

CTS #240~Work of Art Autumn

Can you believe this is the 8th card  I have made for today?  Well perhaps you can believe it.  Since that's what the majority of my time is spent doing.  I can't show the other cards yet though, I really want to.  You'll have to wait until the end of October to see them.    This card I made by following the amazing design at: Case This Sketch

I stuck with a fall theme here and used three different stamp sets.
1~Close to my Heart: Many Thanks
2~Stampin UP: Work of Art
3~Stampin UP: Season by Season (2005)~oldie but goldie.
I think it turned out pretty nice.  They all worked together lovely.

Image may contain: plant and outdoorWell I have to share a picture of this crazy little squirrel resting on the fence post with his chin propped up.  Such a silly fella, today he was chasing birds in the yard. He'd scare them away and then jump and roll where they were resting on the grass.   I think he thinks he is a dog.
Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you will take a moment and click that blue button in the left column to follow my blog.  That would be awesome.  Plus you don't want to miss those fabulous 7 cards I'll be showing at the end of October. 😉

RRCB71 & Sketch #230

Goodness gracious!  I am on overload joy mode.   I have you all to thank for that.  What a wonderful surprise to have gained the trust of a few more followers.  Image result for thank you minion
Also, it is extra special because it's my son's 24th birthday🎂  today.  I posted a few days back the card I made for him and an amazing photo of him.  You can see it here Xavier's Birthday Card/photo.
Well now I will try and keep this short and sweet, because I'm not
sure when the kiddos will roll in. This is a card I made for the challenges at:
I used a stampin up set from 1998 but I'm not sure the name.  I bought it at a consignment shop and there are only two stamps in it.  I used my markers to color it in and then cut it out.  I didn't follow the sketch exactly because I ended up putting my sentiment on the strip that goes across the card instead of on top.  The moose is a punch that I punched multiple times and then glued them on top of each other to give it some dimension. I think it worked lovely.
Of course true to myself after the picture was taken, I thought DRATS!  I should of used my clear wink of stella on the water to give it that "sparkly" look.  Next time.😉
I also added a few pictures of my hound.  I had a lovely comment in regards to his picture on the side.  Yes Hunter (HP) is a pure bred English Springer Spaniel.  He is 6 years old and the sweetest hyper hound you ever did see.  I should share more pictures of him.  He's got the funniest personality with a hint of sass.   He loves to watch the yard for squirrels, birds, hawks, ground hogs, eagles, turtles, mice.. you name it we have it here.. hence the pictures I share frequently.. Perks of living next to a junk yard. haha.  Any ways HP is a sweetheart.
Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you feel inspired to look around my blog at the other cards, projects and pictures.  I  sure do appreciate the love and support, so if you're willing please don't forget to push that blue follow button on the left hand side.

Easy as 1, 2, 3 Card Challenge ~ Falling

Up first, BIG NEWS... I have one more follower.
Image result for minion thank you
That MADE my day 💛
Now for the card I made for the Cards In Envy Challenge (easy as 1, 2, 3)   I thought how appropriate I  would use 3 leaves, and then place  them facing down in a "falling" sort of way which tied into the sentiment.  The stamp set is from Close to my heart>Many Thanks.  I've used this one quite a bit recently.  I like the whimsical leaves.  I think they stamp well and look delightful.  If you take a look around my blog you will see a few different ways I've used them, and also see my other projects and pictures.  I'd really appreciate it if you would click that blue button in the left hand column to follow my blog.
Thank you so much.

HSS Inspiration Challenge #272 & PP362

Here is the card I made this morning for the challenges at:
I thought they worked well together.  As did all three stamp sets that I used.   First up I used the Perk Up from a.muse studio.  I'm not a coffee drinker so I pretend it's hot chocolate.  I've been trying hot tea, but all I do is frown when I drink it, so I'm thinking that is not good for the wrinkles on my forehead.  Perhaps I just don't like warm drinks. haha.. oh my silly life.. next stamp set is from, close to my heart, Many thanks and that was the leaves and the sentiment.  For the sweet steam I used my favorite Scentsational Season from stampin up.  Love this cute little retired set.  Any ways I had to do some fussy cutting as usual, so my eyes are a bit blurry for Bible study time now, but I'm hoping they clear up.
I've also included a picture of a blue jay that was visiting my yard.  I think they are spectacular in color and the way this one is perched on the fence it looks like he is wearing earmuffs.  ðŸ˜Š
Thank you so much for stopping by.  Hope you will take a moment and look around at my other cards, projects and pictures.   Please don't hesitate to click that ever intimidating blue follow button on the left hand side.  That would make my day.
Thank YOU.

Addicted to CAS Challenge #120 - Florals

Hi Folks.  Card number 3 today goes to Addicted To CAS challenge Blog

I am really enjoying the practice of leaving white space on the card.  Today we are challenged to use flowers and I thought I'd take a chance with it in "fall fashion"  being I chose festive fall colors, oranges, yellows, and a soft green.  And once again, for such a simple card I went through many trial and errors.  My gosh I must be an unusually messy stamper, every time I was almost done, a smudge, an ink spot, a wrinkled side or perhaps my cutter blade needs replacement.  Goodness gracious! So about round 8 I finally got a nice clean take on it.
I appreciate you stopping by.  I hope you will take a moment and look around at my cards, projects and pictures.  I'd love to have you sign up and follow my blog.
Thank you.

CCC #21~Scentsational Season Christmas

Card number 2 today I made for the Christmas Card Challenge Blog
The closest stamp set I could find in my stash that somewhat resembled cookies was my stampin up Scentsational Season.  I thought the images looked like lovely little cut outs. Which is exactly what I did using the matching dies.. I actually cut a couple of each one to add some extra demension to the card.  I then found the ric rack ribbon to "tie" it all together.  I think it matches the gingerbread man's icing lovely.
Thank you so much for stopping in to say hello.
Hope you will take a moment to look around my blog, and perhaps follow me.

CAS Game #99 - Autumn Colours & SCS

Well today I will be posting a few times.    So please come back to check out my other cards too.  Up first is the card I made this morning for the challenge at: AAA Cards

We are suppose to use autumn colors, so I stuck with brown and gold.  It was actually yellow and orange but after a bit of water coloring it turned into gold.. so I just went with it.
I thought the verse worked lovely for a sentiment, plus it doubles as my SCS (Scripture Card Sunday) post which I like to try and stick to.
Goodness the designers are so talented at keeping that white space while making their cards look spectacular.. You must check it out.
Thank you all so much for stopping by.
I hope you will take a moment and look around at a few of my latest cards, projects and pictures.  I'd love to have you sign up and follow my blog.
