Challenge 220~ Pinwheel Patriotic Card

I made this fun card for a table top decoration.
I actually made four of them.  One for each
of my kiddos, and my dad too.
I love how the pinwheel card has the perfect holding
spot for the flags.
Click here to get the dimensions for  the pinwheel cards.
I love how each side offers a different stamped image.
And the lovely card fits perfectly into the
standard A2 size envelope.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
Challenge #220

Our theme for the new challenge is

"Patriotic"
I'm including a video of my card too.  I'm not very
good at putting videos on youtube.  But I keep trying.
HP is quite happy with himself.  Look at the smile.
He is surrounded by his tennis balls, and now  the
proud owner of a volleyball.  If there is a ball
in the yard, he will claim it.  The kids have to be
careful with the basket ball, he has popped those
before too, he just loves to play.
On our walk this morning we had a visitor playing
peek a boo.  How cute is he?

Game #192 PIzza Thank you Card

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamps featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Plentiful Plants (sentiment)
and the Pizza stamp is a little set
that I purchased from Michael's.  It
truly does not stamp a clear image nicely,
but nevertheless I keep it, because I love pizza.
and It has come in handy for such cards as this.
Now growing up we didn't eat much pizza,
but when we did, my parents always got the
best bar room pizza at Portesi.
Which is a family tradition now.   Any ways,
this past week I had a doctor appointment out
of town.  So after spending all day on the road,
my dear dad brought Hubby and I some pizza and
dad delivered it to us.  We live about 30 minutes
away from him.  That was so sweet.
So this is his thank you note card.
How does one color mozzarella cheese?
My daughter has been taking me on a little
trail walk each day.  I love it.  I've been
praying to see something fabulous again.
We've already made friends with the
blue heron, the otters,  ducks, pigeons, turtles,
chipmunks, rabbits, mice, squirrels,
and we think we saw a fox,
and now we can add deer to the list.
Thank you Jesus.   My kiddo
says the LORD hath provided.
Indeed He did.  I have added a few pictures.

#GDP297~Turtle Friends, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Turtle Friends
I thought the colors were perfect for these
cute little turtles.
Lately my daughter and I have been
watching the wild life at the pond.   And
the darling little turtles make quite a show.
I love how they climb on a log to sun themselves,
so much work to get up there, and then when
they are done they just slide off so easily.

The colors might look different in shades because
I either stamped off, or I used my aqua brush to
lighten and darken them.

PP546~ Berry Blessings, Sweet Strawberry, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Berry Blessings
Stampin Up:  Sweet Strawberry
This was a quick simple card, and then the
smudge.  Oh gosh does that ever happen to you?
Thankfully I was able to add the little
strawberry flower to the side of the sentiment
and cover up the disaster.
Sometimes the easiest looking cards
are the hardest to make for me.
I just don't get it.  Perhaps it's the smudges.

Sketch #426 Celebrate with Flowers, Plentiful Plants, Stampin Up

Hello again.

I wanted to get a card made right away.

I have a feeling I'm going to be very busy tomorrow.

I have a few cards I've made that need to get on

instagram.  That is an all day job for me.

As you can see by this double spacing here,

I'm not technically equipped to deal with such things.

I am going to submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Celebrate with Flowers
Stampin Up:  Plentiful Plants
And just like that, it's not double spacing anymore.
haha.  I have no idea why not, but thankful it stopped.
Anyways, I flipped the sketch because I wanted to
use my new vertical Birthday sentiment on the side.
I sponged the background and then stamped
images of the same color in the triangles.
I wonder if there is a secret law or code
somewhere that says you probably shouldn't
use two different font styles on a card, especially
the front.  Well folks, I broke the rules if there
be any such thing.  haha
Now friends, this is a picture of how my mind
works.  Going to take a bite out of the apple crisp
I made this weekend.  I see this little face.
I'm like oh my gosh my crisp is making faces at
me.  This is what My darling husband has to put up with.

Health Update:  Still fighting with the autoimmune
diseases.  The out of control BP is in God's capable
hands right now, since the medicine isn't working.
SO living on prayers and Hopefully in August I will
get some help.   It will be my third doctor.
They just tell ya what you have and leave you hanging.
No caring no follow ups, nothing.
Anyways this Wednesday I go to the holistic clinic
again, and see if the supplements have been helping.

Thanks for caring dear friends.

Sketch #425 Garden Birdhouses, Ready to Pop, Stampin Up

I can't keep track of time anymore.  It's just
flying by.   I feel like I'm not giving my
card making enough attention.  Makes
me sad.
It's mostly my fault.   I have been preoccupied
with a bakery story game, but also the main
thing is I'm trying to walk with my daughter,
bless her heart, and it's very hard for me,
so when I get home I'm pooped right out.
Very much pain and have a hard time
doing anything the rest of the day.  Then there
are the phone calls with my dad.  I love him
but 2-4 hours a day is making me a tad crazy.
Any ways enough of my complaints.  For happy
news, our darling kiddos all came over to
celebrate HP's 10th birthday.  Can you believe
he is that old?  I hope he stays strong and
healthy.  We all love this pup so much.

The kiddos are such a blessing to us, they cleaned
out the garage so our son could scoot his
car in there, and they also took the spare couch to
our daughter and son in law's home.
I've tacked on a few pictures.

The card I made I will submit to the challenge at:
Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Garden Birdhouses
Stampin Up:  Ready to Pop
I had to down scale my paper so that the
stripes looked good, so I ended up with quite
the border.  I also had to work quite quickly
to not miss the cut off time.  Yikes.
This is a new little baby birdie, just flew down
from his nest today.
HP enjoying a soak at his Birthday party.
All the kiddos taking a break on the couch they
moved.  Yup are old truck still is running.
Thank the LORD.
A few more birdies at the feeder. That makes
me so happy to hear them sing.

Hope you are all doing well.

Challenge #218~ Happy Birthday Dad, Happy Flag Day, Pop up Twist card.

I made this card for the challenge at:
Challenge #218

Our theme for the new challenge is

"I Love my Dad"
I'm sure this challenge is intended for Father's day
cards, but I decided to make a fantastic birthday
card for my Dad.
His birthday is on Flag day.  and it is so appropriate,
since we are a strong patriotic family.   So I decked the
card out with red, white and blue.
I wanted to really make it pop so I did this card and I
followed the directions from this youtuber.
It was so fun, and Dad loved it.   We also gave him
sundae cones.  A fun sweet treat that went with the card.
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Hey Girlfriend
Stampin Up:  Days To Remember
Stampin Up:  Sweet Ice Cream
Stampin up:  Number of Years
Stampin Up:  You are Amazing

You will be able to see the video on my
instagram page too.
