Christmas Bears

Hello Stamping Friends.
Today was another rainy day.
So, I thought I'd do a little more stamping.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Beary Cute
I used some lovely snowflake DSP for the
background, and then stamped my images on
a separate piece of card stock.  I punched out the
big bear and cut out the other elements.  I love
how the baby bear is getting a lift to put the star
on top of the tree, but wouldn't ya know I forgot
to add the star.  sigh!!  I also forgot to add the
sparkle twine to the bottom like the sketch shows.
I tell ya my heart was ready to stamp but my
mind was else places this afternoon.
Nevertheless, I still like how it turned out.
I found this lovely heart picture on instagram
and wanted to share it with you all.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Acts 20:35 KJV
I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye
ought to support the weak, and to remember
the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said,
It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Harvest Blessings

Hello Stamping Friends,
I made two cards today.  I can't even believe that.
It's been a long time since I have been focused enough
to even think of doing this.
So I made two little harvest cards.  This one I will
submit to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin UP:
Wishing You well
Pick of the patch
Earthen Textures
I used some lovely DSP on the left side,
and then stamped the pampas grass so they could go
inside the pumpkin.  Now the bow I had to move
over a bit from the sketch because it just fit better
for how I stamped it all so close.  I then added an
embellishment to the middle of the bow and finished
it off with the sentiment raised up with dimensionals.
I'm most excited about this little tiny flower on
one of my succulent leaves.  I don't ever know what
to expect with these plants but I keep trying
to propagate them.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 107:37KJV
And sow the fields, and plant vineyards,
which may yield fruits of increase

Harvest / Autumn Card

Hello Stamping Friends.
I made a fun harvest card today.
I wanted to use the darling little bird stamps.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
Challenge: AUTUMN
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up: Pick of the Patch
Bird's Eye View
Lawn Fawn:  Happy Harvest
I stamped the branch and pumpkins on a
piece of card stock, and I'm pretty pleased with
the masking of the one pumpkin to give it a
little depth.   I then cut it out and placed it up
higher on the card and off to the side.
It was a quick little card to make.

Below is a picture of my little HP, he
was very tired this morning and didn't want to
be disturbed.  But I thought the filter on the
phone was perfect for the challenge.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Matt 9:38KJV
Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest,
that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Puppy Thank you

Hello Stamping Friends.
I made this card for a woman who blessed
us with some dog food for our beloved HP.
I used the fun challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:
From all of us
Happy tails
Watercolor shapes
Work of art
Bokeh dots
Simon says:
Pocket full of happy
I'm always amazed that sometimes the most
simple looking cards require the most stamp
sets for all the bits and pieces.
I used soft grays for the majority of color
on this card.  I love the soft bokeh dots in the
background.  The two vertical stamp lines underneath
the square could have been a wee bit longer, but I
didn't want to try again in fear I'd go over the edges.
I stamped the puppy and pocket image on a separate
piece of cardstock and then cut it out.  I used some
dimensionals on the back to pop it up.  Then I
added a few embellishments.

Perfectly fallen leaf on my flowers, made my
day as I pulled into the garage today.
The verse I chose for this card today is:
Psalm 106:1 KJV
Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks unto the Lord
for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Christmas Wrapping Paper Rolls

Hello Stamping Friends.
I sure do have a lot to share with you today.
First off I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Wishing You Well,
Holly Jolly Wishes, Nothing Sweeter
When I saw the sketch I had no idea what
I would do.  I thought narrow pine trees, or
candle sticks, well folks, I  chose
Christmas. and I made mini wrapping paper rolls.
But first I used actual wrapping paper that
I had received as a gift from my daughter.  I save the
pretty paper for such things as this.  So I wrapped
my card stock with this delightful wrapping paper.
Then I took some DSP and cut it to one inch wide and four inches long.
I rolled it up like cigarettes.  Now I have not ever rolled
cigarettes, but I had a great uncle that use to, and I always
thought it to be quite fascinating.   However, paper rolling
the DSP was not as easy as one would think, being it's a bit
stiff. but I curled it around a pencil and just kept working with it.
I really love how it looks like wrapping paper rolls.
I then put the banner over the top with the sentiment
and added a bow that I stamped and cut out.
I added a bit of ribbon to the top and bottom
to keep with the gift wrapping theme.
What a fun little card.  Should be quite the challenge
to mail.  Perhaps this one will have to be given in person.

Now for a few stories.
We have been dealing with a lot of annoyances
here in the old home.  First, there were baby mice, 8 to
be exact.  My husband said he thinks he got the mama
because she was huge and in the trap.  I asked if it was
a rat, and he says no.  So I trust him.  Well I'm happy to report
that he found two mice nests.  So those are now gone.
Then we have been dealing with bees in the house as well.
This is not any fun at all, No wonder my blood pressure
is always elevated.  Sigh!!  well after 20 bees in the house,
and the vacuum cleaner always ready to aim and suck them down,
My darling went outside and noticed where they were swarming,
so he started ripping off the siding.  Look what he found.
My friends, this man of mine stayed up late
and got all the hive out of this location.
and what  a job it was.  Thank the LORD he
didn't get stung.  I just pray that this is
the only hive in the house.  IT was huge.
I wanted to share all the seeds I harvested from our
little garden this past summer.  I still have to
wait for our pumpkin seeds, but I will get those drying
after Halloween.  I'm so excited about this garden
adventure we are on.  It's so fun.  Learning as we "Grow"
Because of all the stress lately, my husband stopped
off at the store and got me a special surprise treat.  He said
it was a peace offering.  What a sweetheart.
The verse I chose for this card is:
1 Peter 4:10 KJV
As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same
one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Christmas Woods

Hello Stamping Friends.
Hope you are having a Spectacular Sunday.
I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Peaceful Boughs, Beary Cute
I used DSP for the narrow strips, and then I made sure
to line them up so they would create the winter scene.  I stamped
the tree to give it a pop of color and tied on the sweetest
little pinecone.  I love those things.  Not fun for mailing but
I actually took a few of them and tied them around a jar I hold
my stamping accessories in.  They are just so cute.
The sentiment just covered all four panels perfectly.
Phew.  I didn't measure it. and it turned out.   I used
a punch to create the "torn" look to the bottom of
each of the DSP strips.

My little HP was all tuckered out after yesterday.
Our daughter came up for the day and he was a bit
of a showoff.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Luke 2:14KJV
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace,
good will toward men.

Halloween Card #7 for the 2023 Season

Hello Stamping Friends.
I went a bit non-traditional with the
colors for this card so I could play along
with the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Lawn Fawn: Happy Harvest
Stampin Up:  Pick of the Patch
You can't even believe the amount of pumpkins
I had stamped before realizing it was not working.
So I looked in my stash again and found this
lovely simple wagon it was like it was designed for
exactly three colors.  So after stamping, coloring
and cutting it out, I used dimensionals to pop it up
up on the card stock.  I love how it sits on
top of the cute sentiment.
The want to add more to this card was
great.  I thought a few embellishments would
have been nice, but I'm so glad that I didn't because
it's simply sweet just the way it is.
I wanted to share this soap dish I
just purchased.  We have a small home
and our bathroom is itty bitty.  SO having
soap dishes on the little vanity was always
a problem.  I found this wall soap dish on
amazon, and it is wonderful.  It holds,
two bars, a his and hers. haha, and drain
holes so the wet soap drips off into little
trays underneath that you can empty.
It's grand.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Gen 8:22KJV
While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold
and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Halloween Card #6 for the 2023 Season

Hello Stamping Friends.  I hope
you are doing well.
I made another Halloween card.  This one
is for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Pick of the Patch
I started with the three vertical panels,
I used DSP for each one and layered them on black.
I then stamped and cut out the pumpkins and stems.
It looked a bit bare, so I die cut out some black stars
for a backdrop, but still it wasn't doing the trick for me.
So I die cut out some leaves and added one to the top of
each star, and then I used dimensionals to pop the pumpkins up.
I also put ribbon behind each of the stars to make it sparkle.
I wanted to add a sentiment to the front too,
even though the center panel has words.

Below is a picture of my little Puppers.
He is sleeping more these days, being that he
is 12.  But still the sweetest little fella around.
I'm still trying to make sourdough starter, and I had it.
and then I blew it.  DRATS.  It had risen and then I
should have used it, but now it deflated and I have discard.
Sigh.  If you have any suggestions please let me know.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 19:8 KJV
The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart:
the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
