Challenge #114~Waterfront, Lilypad Lake Stampin Up

I made this card to be entered in the Time Out Challenge
Home sweet Home.
With such soft cool colors that reflect a beach front property to me  in the above picture.   I began my work by making a card as if I were looking out of my cozy beach home window, onto the water where I could watch the sail boats in the distance.   I also thought the mountains to be quite majestic and then thought perhaps, it was like a tropical rock, or volcano island.   I did have to add a little brown, on the bottom so you could see the "beach"  but otherwise I stuck with blues, and turquoise colors with some gray tossed in.   I really wanted to add a sunset but didn't want to distant myself to far from the challenge picture.    I really like the inside sentiment.  I feel like the calm waters for sailing are a reflection of peace.  Knowing the Creator Has it under control, should a storm arise.   So stay Calm.
Today's card features stamps from:

CTS #282~One For All Stampin Up

Today I spent quite a long time trying to figure out how to set up my new stampin up page.  Gosh, I need someone to walk me through this, but I think I have it up and running, however when I searched for a demonstrator near me.. hoping to find my name among the list it was not there.  So I will have to email my gal and ask a few questions.  If you want to take a look and see  here it is: www.pjsprojects.stampinup.net  I'd love any feedback.  Thank you so much.
Well I didn't spend all day in front of the computer.  I was able to enjoy the sunshine with my hubby and dog so that was great,  I love being outside.   My legs were giving me trouble, but Robb brought a chair for me to rest while he did some yard chores.
I was also able to make this card today for the challenge at: CAS(E) This Sketch

What a fabulous sketch.    I used my new stampin up, One For all set.  I also had to use a few little glitter enamel dots to cover up a smudge, but it worked perfectly, and the ribbon "tied" it all together lovely.

Sketch #274 Varied Vases Stampin Up

This is the second card I made using my new stampin up Varied vases set with a matching punch.   I must say the inside does match the outside of this card, but after a bazillion (I might have exaggerated a bit) pictures.  I finally just gave up.  I blame the overcast skies and the lighting in my house for surely it can not be the camera operator.. as in me. 😉 Although if my kids were here they'd say, "it's mom"  haha..  Any ways I tried to get a nice picture of the card.
I'm loving these little vases. There are so many options.  It is exciting.  When I start to come up with an idea there must me smoke rising from my head as I'm thinking on what to do, and then like a madwoman, I start stamping and gluing and cutting and oh my❕what a divine mess.   I can barely find the keyboard to my computer.   Any ways I chose to play along with
I hope they don't get tired of me entering their challenges.  I just love the sketches.  They are fabulous, and really help a gal think of so many possibilities.   I used 2 dies for the ovals, and a punch to create the image next to the ovals.  I had to punch it a couple times and then I glued it together to make it a little longer then it normally is.  I stamped the cute little scallop and fussy cut that out.  I love that little edge, and then  got me thinking it would work lovely for a shelf too for the vases, However I only put one shelf on because the other vase I pop dotted up.  The sentiment is one image but I masked it with tape and saved the bottom half for the inside of the card.   What a fun creative challenge.

PP402~Varied Vases Stampin UP

Up first is a card I made to submit to the challenge at:
Clean and simple while using the negative space.  Well folks this was a tricky one for me, because I really wanted to play with my new stampin up set, Varied Vases.  It has a matching punch, but I tried multiple times to punch it here and there and even thought about adding more layers to the card so I could perhaps punch out the vase (s) on a die cut oval, well I didn't want to stray away from the clean and simple.  So I punched them out and then traced it on to this white card stock and used my exacto knife to trim them out.  Then I layered the white card stock on top of the printed and there you have my negative space used.   I stamped the flowers and leaves and fussy cut those out too, and since I was into cutting i thought why not stamp the cute little scallop and use it as a shelf.  I debated whether or not to outline the vases with a white pearl paint, but I chose the less is more route this time.

FMS347 Healing Hugs Stampin UP

Today I made this card using my new stampin up Healing Hugs set.  How fabulous is that beautiful rose.   I have to be honest, I'm not a big fan of all things floral, but being that I just joined the stampin up team, I decided I need to broaden my horizons with a bit more patterned paper and flowers.   After stamping this lovely rose and leaves I cut them out to use on top of this printed paper that seems to match it perfectly.  I also used one of the sentiments for this set to finish off the card.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:

Tuesday Morning Sketches #463~ Little Elephant, Stampin Up

My goodness I didn't post a card yesterday.  It was kind of a bummer of a day for me.  I try not to wallow, but I suppose every now and then the pity party must be had.  So even thought my new stampin up stuff came to be a demonstrator I just couldn't seem to pull me out of the pit.  So  I spent quite a bit of time reading my new book, "My Dear Hamilton"  it's very good.  I will be sad when it is finished.
However today I'm doing a bit better.  I pulled out a few of my new things and one of those was the cute new stampin up set called Little Elephant, with a matching punch.  I think it's adorable.   I found this lovely plaid paper to go with the elephant plaid images.  So I began the layout of  my 5x5 square card. I fussy cut out the cute little umbrellas so each had their own.  I also embossed the background with clouds.   I chose to split the sentiment into two, so I also had something for the inside of the card. I punched out a tiny piece of the plaid paper for the elephants ears to make them pop out a little more.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:

RRCB91~ Love Without End Stampin Up SCS

Today I made a card for my SCS  (Scripture Card Sunday)  and while doing so I found a delightful challenge to play along with.  I'm loving this fabulous sketch to which I based my card that I wish to submit to the following:

I used a 2005 Paper Inspirations stamp for the scripture verse.
A 2003 Stampin up~ two- step stampin Love without end.  Which is for the butterflies.  It was quite difficult to line those little images up, being they are wood mounted.   Some trial and error,  with this card, but eventually I got it.  I even tried to stamp the butterfly outline in black, but it seemed to dark a contrast, so I stamped off the body of the butterfly and when stamping the outline I chose the same color but just a bit darker.  I think that looked much better.  I like how the colors are so happy and vibrant, although I'm not feeling that on the inside.. My card reflects a happy place.
I even like the little sparkle embellishments.

I thought I'd share a few pictures of my day.  My dear dad took me for a Sunday afternoon drive.  It was very nice.  I love riding with him in his big truck.

We had the great pleasure of seeing the most amazing sites..

The donkeys, the deer, and gosh the pictures I got of them seem like they are right off a calendar page.

Then a tree growing right up out of a silo.  If that can happen anything is possible.  RIGHT?   At least that's what I'm hoping for.  A modern day miracle of healing in my legs, and back.

Then I couldn't believe how many seagulls were sitting on the roof of the one building I had to take a picture of that.

And last but surely not least.  This absolutely gorgeous home, converted into a Museum.  I LOVE It.  Something right out of Gone with the Wind movie or such.  The inside is just as lovely.  I actually toured it with my beloved Aunt Ann when I was younger, and it's beautiful with a divine staircase that branches off in two directions. I should go in again this summer so I can share pictures with you all.

Thank you so very much for stopping by for a visit.
I'd love to hear from you.
I appreciate all the comments and kindness.

July Technique Challenge, In the Trees Stampin UP, Let's Play Lawn Fawn

I want to give a big warm welcome to my newest blog follower.  This is  exciting❕
Image result for minion thank you
I'm so happy you decided to sign up and follow my blog.  💛

I made this card for the challenge at:
We are to use the paper tearing technique on our cards.  They have a wonderful video on their blog page to show a few different ways to achieve this look.
So I decided to go for a nice summer day play yard.  I did paper tearing on all 3 shades of the green for the grass, and even did a bit of tearing for the yellow (to represent the sun) behind the sentiment.  There was quite a bit of fussy cutting with this card, after stamping and coloring, but gosh I like how summery it looks.  I then embossed the clouds in the background and sponged some color on them to give them some definition.

Week 308: CLOUD Lawn Fawn Blue Skies, Stampin Up, Lilypad Lake

Well after all the cards I've been making with lots of detail, I figured it was time to step back and make a  simple card.    I really need to focus on mailing out cards, doing a Bible study and trying to put the house back in order.  Of course after I stamp a card first.😉 The day is just not complete unless you do something in the craft room.
I am going to submit this card to the challenge at: CASology
The stamp sets featured in today's card are:
Stampin Up~Lilypad Lake for the sentiment
Lawn Fawn~Blue Skies for the clouds and hot air balloon.
After much coloring on the balloon, I decided to go for paper piecing, it just seems to suit that little image the best.  I added a bit of glossy accents to the clouds, giving them a realistic puffy look.

Sketch 273 Winter Wishes Stampin UP

Oh BOY.. the stamp set I ordered off of ebay arrived and I couldn't wait to play with it.   I think it has such cute rustic charm.
I went in search of a sketch challenge to play along with.  So I will submit this card to:
You will probably have to look very hard to see the sketch in my card I  designed, but gosh after stamping and coloring and cutting, I just couldn't resist using most all of the stamps in this charming set.  The only one left out is the adorable sleigh, and had there been more room on my card, I probably would have added that too.😉
I really have to learn the less is more policy.  My husband was so cute I asked his opinion when I was all done, and had not put the evergreen branch on it yet, but had it stamped, hubby says throw in on by the skis.. it's a little blank in that corner. haha.. So I did.   No wonder my kids always tell me I have "no real-estate spots available on our walls"  I fill everything plumb up. Even my cards. haha  I think I'm finally understanding when someone says my home is cozy.. that is code word for cluttered, oh gosh I've rabbit trailed again, just to say I added quite a bit to my card today.    Well folks. I will stop with the chatting.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Challenge 67 Hand Delivered Stampin up

This afternoon I made a card for the challenge at:
where the theme is " Paper Piecing"  how fun and fabulous.  So I pulled out my stampin up Hand Delivered stamp set to create this card.  I stamped the lady and her balloons. I then did all kinds of experimenting.  I first tried all sorts of patterned paper, but that didn't look right, then I did bold and bright colors but still nothing to fabulous, then I  pulled out the famous polka dots, and YES> that was it.  However, layering this card was another project for me.  I really wanted the balloons to pop, so I wanted to keep the background a party, but yet simple.  So I embossed it, did a bit of sponging for color and then die cut out the oval, added a bit of pink sparkle paper behind it, fussy cut out the gal and all the balloons, I mean I was doing a lot of cutting anyways, so why stop now?  haha.. then pop dotted her up to help her stand out.
I think this is a fun party card.   I will be giving this to a dear friend.  I'm so poor at sending out my cards, but I LOVE to make them.  And JULY is a very busy month of birthdays.  Well actually June-Sept.. very busy.
Hopefully I will get with the program and start getting these cards in the mail.

FUSION Cactus Door At Home With You, Stampin UP, Stuck on You, Lawn Fawn

I don't know how I managed this card today.  That alone is a miracle of sorts.  I drove myself to the walkin, and after about 4 hours there, a very NOT friendly doctor informed me I need to have my gallbladder out, and he's concerned about my pancreas  😢  As I left I understood some surgeon would call me.  Well that didn't happen so now I just sit here and wonder was I suppose to do the calling.  I mean seriously when people get news like that, the least a doctor could do is be kind. UGH.   If you're a praying person.. please keep me in your prayers..  I'm very fearful of surgery, especially after my back.  So as you can imagine my anxiety is through the roof right now.

Well enough of that and onto happy things.

Like this card I made for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in my card today are:
Stampin up's~At Home With You
Lawn Fawn~Stuck On You
At first I was going to have the door open and have the cactus on the inside.. well folks after much cutting and "wallpapering" the inside of the house.  It just didn't look nice, so I  "closed" the door on that and decided to stick the cactus on the the front porch.  My gosh I wasted a lot of time.  I should have taken a picture of the inside of the door before I glued it shut.    I did leave the little yellow squares in the window to shine a little light on the situation.
I hope you can see both the sketch and the photo in my card today.

*Don't you think googly eyes would be fabulous on the cactus on the inside of the card?

#TGIFC168~Epic Celebrations, Garden in Bloom, Stampin up

I made this card today for the challenge at:

I stamped the background circles with melon mambo, and then began stamping my images which are from stampin up.  Garden in Bloom and Epic celebrations for the sentiment.
I fussy cut all the images to give it just a tad bit of dimension instead of stamping right on the circles.
I really liked working with this sketch.  I think there are many possibilities.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

I'm so excited to say that I finally did it❕❕ I joined the stampin up team.  I have thought about it for quite some time, and finally just decided to try it out.  I joined July 14th.   I hope I can make a go of it.  I'm not quite sure how to get my website up and running but hopefully I'll learn, and hopefully I'll earn a few sales.😊

HSSCC293 & CTS #280 SCS Arrows

Today I wanted to make a card that stuck with my SCS.  So I chose this lovely verse.  I really needed a bit of reassuring so this scripture was perfect.  Praying that on Friday my doctor will be able to figure out what's going on.

I really have a thing about arrows.  In fact, if I were to ever have a tattoo it would be one of two designs: A wedding band of some sort, with scrolling on my ring finger, since my hands are always swelling.  Which means I can't wear rings much. And also an arrow.  I love the symbolic meaning of arrows in the Bible and also I love this saying:
I sent this to a friend a while ago when they were going through so tough times.. It's perfect for me right now..
Well enough about that, it's probably TMI (to much information)  Onto the card for today.  I found a lovely little stamp set from Michael's, many moons ago that had a couple arrows in it.  So I couldn't resist using them today.  I thought they worked perfect with the verse.. mighty and fierce my God will protect and strengthen.
I'm going to submit this card to the following challenges:
