CTS #391 Game on, Stampin Up Birthday Card

I made this card for the challenge at:

I got this crazy notion in my head that I could
make a checker/chess board by weaving
strips of black and red paper together.
I was quite wrong.  It turned out to be a paper basket.
My hands were already in bad shape from the nerve conduction
test today, but after the weaving of the papers, they locked up
on me.  So this is the best I could come up with for this evening.
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Game On

My dear son in law tried to teach me chess,
but I just couldn't get it.  I'm more of a card
player.  Like Uno, or speed.  Which is so much
fun to play with my daughter.  We both carrying on quite
a bit.  Lots of laughing, and gasping at who can lay
the cards down the fastest.  It's a great time.
Chess is very serious. Perhaps that's why I'm no good at it.
Tonight because of my hands it would have been lovely had
this set come with matching dies.  But instead I
fussy cut out the chess pieces.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

CAS Game #175 Stamping Bella, Congratulations, Brett & Brenda Get Married

I made this fun card for the challenge at:

The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stamping Bella
Brett & Brenda Get Married
I chose to play with one layer.  I'm not a coffee
drinker.  I know "gasp"  However, I am trying to
like tea.  without making a face while drinking it.
Any suggestions for a good tea?
Another gasp, because as you can see, it's not a stampin up
product. But nevertheless, absolutely adorable.  Hence
the reason it is now part of my stamp collection.
I did use a stampin up product with it.
I wanted to keep the card super simple, but I added the lovely
shimmer white embossing paste on the bottom of her dress.
It added such a nice sparkle.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Sketch #388 Merry Moose, In The Pines, Stampin Up, Christmas Card

Let me start off first by saying I'm going to submit this
card to the challenge at:

Now I will tell you a quick little story, that I find unbelievable.
You see this past Friday, I made a couple Halloween Cards
for my kiddos.  You can see them HERE
I needed a few die cut squares behind each of the little
spooky stamps in the Halloween card.  So that is what I did.
My friends, this is what I was left with.  See The picture below,
please excuse my stamp desk mess.  Anyways, much to my
delight. I thought to myself, these are fantastic, I must
make a card using these.  It reminds me of an old photo
booth picture.
Then this morning I click on the challenge and I just smiled, because
there in the sketch it gave me the perfect opportunity to create.  I just
had to scale down the size.  My daughter would say to me, "Mama,
the LORD hath provided"  Yes indeed.  So I got busy stamping.
Isn't that so funny?
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Merry Moose
Stampin Up: In The Pines
Oh gosh my friends, I'm loving that 12x12 DSP background, I don't
think I will use it in a card.  I only have this one piece and it's just
the perfect back drop.   I LOVE moose, most likely I've mentioned that before
but never hurts to repeat it.  Any ways I think these two stamp sets work
well together, I also used that little tub of Shimmer white embossing paste.
Gosh it gives everything such a nice sparkle I want to
put it on all my Christmas cards.

I'm happy to report that I acquired another sale on my Etsy shop, and are you
ready for this. I got one more sale in my Stampin Up Store.  YAY❕

Here are a few pictures of our yard this past weekend.
My husband cut down all our hostas.. Getting ready for the winter.
Health news:  Wednesday is my appointment to be a bug zapper, I would
appreciate your prayers, if you're willing.  I'm
Not looking forward to this Nerve conduction test. Thank you for caring.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

SSC240 TIME TO GET SKETCHY ~Toile Christmas. Stampin Up Merry Christmas

I really like how this picture turned out.  The 12x12
piece of DSP behind the card is lovely.   Soft little
snowflakes falling.  It reminds me of a log home in the woods.
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Toile Christmas
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
I hope you can see the sketch in my card.
I added a sentiment to the front, because it was
so empty looking, and then I added an extra little branch.
Sometimes I forget about the less is more concept.
I do like how the cardinal turned out though.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

#TGIFC283 Hero Arts, Hang In There Potted Plants, Impression Obsession, Summer herbs

I couldn't resist, I had to include my little VW bus in the picture.
I'm most happy that my husband drilled a hole in the bottom,
so I could use it for a planter.   The little plant I am trying to
propagate is Elephant Bush.
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Hero Arts:  Hang In There Potted Plants
Impression Obsession:  Summer Herbs
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
It never fails when I blend with my daubers,
I always dab a lighter color in a dark.
Does that ever happen to you?

Week 374: VACATION~ Timeless Tropical, On To Adventure, Stampin Up

I made this fun card for the challenge at:

The Stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Timeless Tropical
Stampin Up:  On To Adventure
After stamping, coloring and cutting, I decided to give
his glasses and the camera lens a little shine by
using the silver foil paper.  I think it gives the card a
nice touch.   I also gave the sentiment a little
shadow, by adding black cardstock behind the aqua.
I had the placement just right and then before I knew it
I dropped the little gentleman right down where I didn't want him to be.
So to me it looks like he has palm trees coming out of his hat.  Gosh, I did
try and peel it up to offset him, but nope He was down for good.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Challenge #181 Spooky Sweets, Stampin up, Spooktacular Bash, Stampin Up. Happy Halloween

I thought I'd try a slim line card again.  These are so fun
to make, and it went perfect with the
Halloween theme I was going for.
It reminds me of a big old castle door opening.
In fact when I showed me husband, he even
added the sound effects of a creaking door.
The image in the middle actually reminds me
of a door knocker.
I will submit the above card to the challenge at:
Challenge #181

Our theme for the new challenge is

"Anything Goes"
I'm also adding the second card I made to this blog
post.  You see I made these two "spooktacular"
cards for my kiddos.  And being they are so similar
I wanted to share them together.
The stamp sets featured in the cards are:
Stampin Up:  Spooktacular Bash
Stampin Up:  Spooky Sweets
I'm really pleased with how they turned out.
Which do you like better, the  cobweb background or the books?

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Sketch #387 Stampbella, Yogabella, Whimsy Stamps, Sweet Succulents, Hero Arts, Hang In There Potted Plants

Oh my friends, I've been so consumed with plants lately,
I am learning a bit more about succulents, and it's
fun.  I joined a fb group and they know a lot of information.
So of course I had to use a few plants on my card
again today. 😉
I even tried to add a few props to my homemade
white/light box to give it some pizzazz.
Ya all know I'm not the best when it comes to measuring,
and certain angles.  It's a hit and miss type of thing.
Well, I wanted to use little Miss. Yoga gal.   However, she
was suppose to be up higher on the embossed background, which
by the way reminded me of wallpaper in a house.    But being
I'm not good  at cutting I placed her lower to cover up
the joint where the strips meet.
The inside of this card reminds me of the prayer plant I have.
I'm going to submit my card to the challenge at:

Did you notice how close I stamped the sentiment to the
edge.. well friends, let me tell you there was a big
exhale and a Hallelujah when I noticed how close it
was and it didn't go off the paper.
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Whimsy Stamps:  Sweet Succulents
Hero Arts:  Hang in There Potted Plants
Stamp Bella:  Yogabella

I love how it turned out.

On a sad note, of course nothing tragic, but my dear husband worked
so hard to put up a shade covering on our little deck for us.
I never realized how dark it would make our dining room, and
my plants are not happy, so he might have to take it down.  We
must have the happy plants 🌵😊    He said he is fine with it.
I'm so thankful for all he does for me.  He said perhaps we
will make my little "hut" somewhere in the yard.

Nothing new to report on the health.. Next week Wednesday I go
for that nerve conduction test~ that is not fun.  I had it done after back surgery
to see how much damage there was.
It's like little shocks, and some big ones.
So I'll be like a bug zapper next week.  Oh what fun.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
