Sketch #296 Happy New Year

I made this New year's celebrate card for the challenge at:

I started by using the Happy New Year sentiment behind the numbers, but it was just a bit much, so I saved that sentiment for the inside and worked with the word "celebrate"  and that helped tame down the chaos.
I thought a few little firecrackers in the background would set the new year off with a delightful pop.    I'm including the blurry picture, because some how I think it's quite artsy.  If that's even a word.  Apparently it is because auto spell check didn't highlight it.  😉 Well now I know.  But I do like how it looks.

I'm also including a picture of the lovely Christmas gift I received from my husband.  I love watching the birds, and this is a fantastic gift.  I can see it from each of the south facing windows in our home.

Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.  I look forward to reading your comments.  I feel so badly that I have not went to claim a few badges yet.  I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has liked my cards.  I truly appreciate it.  Hopefully now that our contractor is gone.. I will be able to focus more on adding badges to my blog again.💗

CAS Game #130 - Three of Something, Beach Happy, Stampin Up

Wowza❕  The past few days have been a whirlwind here.  I can't believe I haven't sat down to make a card in almost 5 days.  YIKES.  Well I quickly made this lovely little beach card  so I could submit it to the challenge at: AAA Cards

I really wanted to make a Christmas card, but I had a new set to play with so I chose to use that instead.. however I have so many ideas. I might have to submit one more card before the challenge ends.  I posted a few pictures so you could see the sparkles I added on the sand and the umbrellas.   It's really loaded.  But I think it adds a nice touch.    After looking at it I wish I would have put a couple reindeer in the chairs, that would have been super cute.  I just didn't have "sitting deer"  haha.

Any ways I sure do appreciate you stopping by for a visit.
I love to read your comments.

FMS368 Wrapped In Warmth, Stampin Up a•muse studio Perk Up

Happy Sunday.  I've been trying to wrap a few last minute Christmas packages, and it appears I have also wrapped my sharpie marker in one of the boxes, as it is now lost.  I suppose that means it's time to step away and make a card.  So that's what I did.  I will submit this card to the challenge at:

I used a few different patterned papers to give it that knitted warm look so that it would tie in with the mugs and the sentiment.

The stamp sets featured in today's card are:

Sketch #295~Vintage Vogue, What I Love, Wishing You Well, Vintage Postcard, Stampin Up

My daughter requested I make a thank you for her co-worker, so I came up with this card.    I will submit it to the challenge at:
The stamps featured in today's card are:
Stamping up: Vintage Vogue
Stamping up: What I Love
Stamping Up: Wishing You Well
Stamping Up: Vintage Postcard

I found some lovely background paper in my stash that worked well with the little lady at her writing desk.   I thought the bow also "tied" in well because it's so elegant looking.  I then added some gold ribbon to reflect the gold in the paper.  I hope my daughter will like it.

I'm also adding a picture of the stockings I made for her.  Her husband's family has arrived in town for the Holidays, so we filled them with candies.  They turned out so cute.  She hung them on her lovely banister in their new home. 🎄

CTS #301 Farm House Christmas Stampin Up

I waited until the last possible minute (almost) to order this cute stamp set from Stampin Up.  Perhaps because I spent most of my growing up years in a garage helping my dad fix cars and trucks.  I felt like this little truck didn't have enough details and such, but folks, I was wrong, it's adorable.  I'm so happy that I purchased this set and I think it worked lovely with this background paper and washi tape.  I will be submitting it to the challenge at:

TMS #484 Crocheted Christmas Wreath Card

How exciting that just last night I came across a cute little crochet pattern on pinterest.  I must say I'm not very good at crocheting and even worse at reading instructions, but this little ornament wreath was so cute I wanted to give it a try.  So last night I whipped it up.  I even impressed my husband.  So that's sweet. 💗 It showed that you can slip this little ornament over a wine bottle or something for gift giving.  Well, I chose to make a card with it.  I found the perfect little Santa face to tuck on the inside and used a wood grain background paper to look like a door panel, I added a few little snowflakes to help fill in the edges a bit.   I must also add, that french knots are really difficult for me.  I read how to do it, but apparently I don't have the hang of it, but for me the berries look good enough.
I'm going to submit my crocheted ornament card to the challenge at: Tuesday Morning Sketches where anything goes.   How exciting that I get to share my little project.

I also included a picture of the inside of the card.  A little tree cut out suggesting perhaps to use the wreath as an ornament.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.  I look forward to reading your comments.

* I forgot to add the bow to my wreath.

FMS367 Recollections Christmas set. Merry Christmas. Let It snow. Snowman

I made this card for the challenge at:

I love how it turned out.
The stamped images are from a Recollections  set called Christmas.   They are not the best quality to work with, however they did stamp the images pretty good, so no complaints there.  After coloring and cutting out the little snowman, I covered him heavily with clear wink of stella.  It doesn't really show up in the picture, but it's pretty sparkly.   I added a few snowflake brads and dotted each one with a pearl.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.  I look forward to reading your comments.

#TGIFC190 Winter Wishes, Wishing You Well, Stampin Up, Merry Christmas

I fell in love with this lovely sketch at: TGIF
I knew I had to make a card to submit to the challenge.
The stamp sets featured in today's card are:
Stamping Up:  Winter Wishes
Stamping Up: Wishing You Well

I tied a bow, using the white ribbon that I have on the card, but it just didn't look nice.  So I decided to stamp the bow.  That was a whole process too, I finally ended up embossing the bow in red, and finishing it off with a white pearl.  I also tied jingle bells under it to give it a festive look.   After stamping, coloring and cutting out all my images it was then time for the placement.  Oh gosh I think it turned out better then expected.

Well, I'm off now to start writing out my Christmas Cards.  Hope I get them all done today.

I'm also thinking quite seriously about specializing in making mostly Christmas Cards for my Etsy Shop.  For next season of course.   I Love making Christmas cards, and this way I will be able to offer packages too.  I'm so grateful because I recently just had 3 big sales in my store.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
