Card #23 for 2024

Hello Crafting friends.
Hope you are all doing fine.  We had the most strange
and wonderful weather yesterday.  It was 70 degrees here
in WI.  Oh my goodness and some places reached 72,
well it was short lived, woke up to 9 degree temps again.
No wonder the pain came back so strong.  But that is our
normal and to be expected.  It was just so nice
to have a break from the dreary cold.
I think my card sort of reflected on yesterday's temps,
you see I even had my house windows open and tried
to clean up the carpet and floors.  A little spring cleaning early.
You know Hunter ( my beloved dog) would have loved it.
He absolutely loved breezy days.
I will enter this card at:
The stamp set used in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Trucking Along

I cut out 3 pieces of cardstock to match the one DSP for
the horizontal strips.  I then die cut the circles.  I stamped
and colored the images and decided to make a little "scene"
for the evergreen/floral sprigs.  So I stamped a little paved road
under the truck, and clouds above to take up about 3 of the
horizontal strips.  I am happy with how it turned out.
I was not going to get this stamp set,
but a sweet friend made me the most lovely Christmas card, and
I was inspired to purchase this set.  I can only hope my cards
will inspire someone to want to make cards too.
I've made a little progress yesterday like I mentioned.
Here is a picture below.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Song of Solomon 2:12KJV
The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds
is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;

Card #22 for 2024

Hello Crafting friends.
Happy Sunday Afternoon.
I'm entering this card in the following:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Detailed Dogwood
Cutest Cows
This card was headed in the completely opposite
direction, note the last picture.  I'm not even
sure what I was intending with the final card,
but it eventually turned out.
This was an exhausting effort, but I was
thrilled to use the new little cow set.  I think
it will be "utterly" sweet to make a few
cutesy cards the next few days.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Proverbs 27:23 KJV
Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks,
and look well to thy herds.

Card #21 for 2024

Hello crafting friends.
We are having a slow Sunday here.
Trying my best to keep on doing the normal
things, but nothing feels normal since HP
had to be put down, our whole routine is
all different now and so quiet.
I actually made a card yesterday that didn't have
a pawprint or dog theme.  That was a big step.
So we are headed in the right direction, in fact
quite funny because it was a card with a pizza
theme.  I do love pizza and lately that's been our
go to comfort for easy meals.
I made this rather simple card, by stamping, coloring, and
cutting out the images, I also used an embossing folder to give
a little dimension to the background instead of just solid white.
I so love the little scattered dog bones.
I have been using the red card stock in honor of HP, because
that was the color of his harness and  dog collar.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamp sets used in this card are:
Simon says:  Pawprints on our hearts ~2014
Simon Says: Pocket full of happy ~2020
Stampin Up:  Happy tails~2019
The verse I chose for this card is:
Isaiah 46:4KJV
And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar(gray) hairs will I carry you:
I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.

Card #20 for 2024

Hello Crafting friends.
I am loving how this card turned out.
I will enter it in the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Supremely Awesome
Simon Says: Noted Heart

This is just straight forward stamping, coloring
and cutting.  I love pizza so much so it seemed fitting
I should make this card.  Since our beloved dog passed
away, we have been resorting to pizzas. I haven't felt
much like cooking, so pizza seems like a go to.  I use
to make homemade pizzas all the time when the kids
were home, now we have been choosing frozen,
nevertheless I like any pizza so no complaints here.
I came across this little bandana idea while looking up cards using this stamp set.
I will credit Brenda Fertitta for this fun addition of the bandana to the chef.
I'm not sure what she used to create it, but I just looked at her
card and freehand cut out one in red card stock.  I think
it adds the perfect finish touches to the chef.
The verse I chose for this card is:
1 Cor. 10:31 KJV
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Card #19 for 2024

Hello Crafting friends.
I'm still quite upset over the loss of our beloved HP.
It's the little things that make it so raw feeling.
Getting a package in the mail, use to be so exciting
because my little buddy would be sniffing away at it,
and we'd open it together.  Then when I went out
to grab an afternoon slice of cheese I instinctively
looked for my little guy to give him a slice.  I went
outside for the first time since his passing and coming
back into my home I had a full on panic attack, my chest
was so tight I thought it was the end.  I'm so use to
him greeting me like he always has for the past 12 1/2 years.
The one that hurts so much is he watched me as much as I watched him.
He was also my little vacuum, so the other day when I came out
of my craft room and noticed a piece of a siete chip on the floor,
I just lost it, he would have scarfed that down in a second.  It hurts
my friend, sooo very bad.  Well anyways I made this card and a duplicate
for our Vet, who had to put him down, the whole office signed a
sympathy card and sent it to us.   The other card is for a friend
who always asked about HP.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets used in this card are:
Stampin up:  Happy Tails, Strong of heart
Simon Says:  Pawprints on our hearts
This is just a straight forward card, some
stamping,  cutting and a few dimensionals,
to pop up the paw, and the sentiment to tie
it all together.   It's so hard to be creative
when your heart is broken.
This is the night before our little guy had to be put
down.  The kids all came home and we spent time
loving on him and making him the center of attention
like we also did,  he then went and laid down as if
to take us all in, so sweet, and then he got up and
came and sat by my feet.  Oh how my heart hurts for him.
He fought hard the past two years, and especially the last
2-3 months, we were bottling feeding him the last two
months, it was difficult, and little sleep, but I wouldn't trade
that time with him for anything, and if I could, we'd still
be doing it, but he was having trouble breathing in the end. Not
just the swallowing.  what an amazing dog,  So blessed
to have had him in our family. I have videos on instagram
if you care to see him, it's in my highlights under Sir Hunter.
The verse I chose for this card is:
John 14:1 KJV
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, Believe also in me.

Hello Crafting Friends,
I have one more card for this evening.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
We have another FUN challenge for you ....

VALENTINE

*Please Don't forget to make it CAS!*
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Bee My Valentine.

This card was made in record time, I
stamped directly onto the white cardstock
and just colored in the honeycomb.  It
would be a lovely card to mass produce.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Proverbs 16:24 KJV
Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul,
and health to the bones

Card #17 for 2024

Hello crafting friends,
I'm still trying to pick up the pieces of
my broken heart, since HP had to be
put down, so I thought I'd play with
my new stamp set.
It actually came on the day we had to
put him down. Feb. 8th  But I just couldn't even
get excited about it, so I decided last night
to give a go with it.
How wonderful to find this challenge to play along with:
My latest craft purchase is this stamp set:
Bee My Valentine (stampin Up)

I love how cheerful and springy this
card turned out.
I made two, one for each of my kiddos.
That little bumblebee is buzzing with happiness.
Much like How I feel "bee-ing" with my kiddos.
My daughter sent me this below, who doesn't love
snoopy?   I think my darling dog HP had the attitude
of Snoopy, which made him all the more lovable.
The verse I chose for this card is:
1 John 4:19KJV
We love him, because he first loved us.

Card #16 for 2024

Oh Friends, and fellow crafters, If you
follow my blog, then you know already
the heartache.   My beloved HP had to be put down.
My dad use to get HP all sorts of toys and so
I wanted to make sure to thank him.  Hp loved
his grandpa and the toys.  This card was hard to
make and surely not one of my best, but I
had a hard time concentrating and it seemed
like the creative juices were all bottled up.
I went to  my one of my favorite sketch challenges
for inspiration and that's where I will submit this card.
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Happy tails (stampin up)
Pawprints on our hears, Pocket full of happy
(Simon Says)
I would have liked to color the little puppy
much like HP all black and white,
but then you can't see his little nose and eyes so
goodly, so I went with a little brown pup.
I love the sentiment, because my dad loves
puns so this is perfect.  The inside sentiment is
absolutely true.
These are the last hours with our beloved
friend and companion.
This is how sweetly he came home,
now at peace and no pain, but always
so lovely with his crossed paws, he does
that on his own.
My heart is broken and I feel completely
crushed by the weight of his absence,
the house is so still and quiet and yet it
is deafening  at the same time.
I updated his profile picture on the side of my blog.
This picture below is where we laid him
to rest in our yard.
My daughter sent me this picture below,
On Thursday, the day we put him down.
I don't know how I'm going to get thought this,
In my head I know one day at a time sweet Jesus,
but my heart hurts so bad, he's all I had all day
by myself, he was my world.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Luke 23:43KJV
And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee,
Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.
