Valentine Card

My husband just left for work again.
Always makes for a long day.  He was
gone for a while earlier today, that is
when I stamped this card.  So now I'm
posting it.
I will submit this to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Country Bouquet, Forever Lovely,
Wishing You Well, Color & Contour
It's a bit busy, but I think it works well for a
Valentine card.  However, the three little
dots below the bow on the sketch. I had to get creative.
I couldn't find embellishments that worked because I
already used so many on my card.  So I
stamped two little red hearts next to the
hearts already there on the DSP.  It blended in quite well.
I really like the die cut edges for this
Valentine card, it seems to make it all
the more charming.
I think I will make a few more Sweetheart
cards, so I can get them sent out before the big day.

Vintage Valentine

I spent a little time in the craft room this
afternoon.  Hoping for my eyes to clear up.
I love how stamping can take my mind
off some of my trials, and help time
go a bit faster.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Country Bouquet, Forever Lovely
This little jewel, referring to the card is
something quite out of the ordinary for me.
I'm not much of a floral, shabby chic kind of gal.
My darling hubby said, "it's not our thing, but
this one will be one the gals will like on instagram" haha
that made me smile.  We shall see what happens.
Now trying to get that sentiment straight was a bit
tricky, not sure if it was just my poor eyes, or perhaps
the optical illusion with the rectangles.  I had to start at
the top and then just slowing bring it down the card in
hopes that it would land somewhat straight.
Major technique involved there.  (wink)
I stuck a few doodads here and there and a little
twine on top of the doily made it seem quite
like a vintage valentine.

Floral Valentine

A bit of a drippy day here.  The driveway is
an ice pond.  So my darling had to put down
a bunch of sand so we don't slide down the hill.
And will also help with traction coming up the hill too.
I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Forever Lovely
I decided to put the border at the top of my card.
I used a die to cut out the floral image then I placed
it over the stamped images.
I was so happy to find some ribbon in my box
that matched the card stock almost perfectly.
Below is the picture I took this past weekend.
I thought it was fabulous with the capital
at the end of the tree lined street.

Adorable Owl Valentine Card

Today is one of those days where I just can't seem
to get myself motivated.  I'm so tired lately.
The new year has brought in a host of issues again.
Sigh.  One year ago today since Covid and I
still struggle with Eye pain and sight, and not
being able to smell.  As well as the chronic
fatigue, and brain fog.  I try to push through things
but this one has me feeling defeated.   Seems like
my eyes are getting worse with the medicines I'm on.
Just praying I don't go blind from this all.
You can see on the inside of my card that I couldn't
even cut the paper straight.  Good golly.  I
didn't even have the energy to fix it.  Especially
since I glued it down.  Isn't it funny how the glue
can stick so fast and well when ya wish it didn't.
I think this little owl is so cute,
and was perfect for this Valentine card, and
it fit in the little die cut circle so nicely.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:

There is HP flopped out, laying comfortably
on his back smiling at the world.

Country Bouquet Valentine Day Card

My goodness everyone did such a fantastic
job with this sketch.  The team and all the
entries so far.   I am a little intimidated to even try.
But here it is folks.  I put a Valentine
spin on my card.
Is it too early?   I tend to run short on
those cards too, so I figured why not,
even though I still have my Christmas
decorations up at home.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Country Bouquet
I can't remember the names of the DSP
but I thought it would be fun to spruce
up the card with all the hearts.
It might be a bit much.  But I suppose
I justified it by saying all Valentine
day cards are always a bit over the top.
Just needed some doily lace or ribbons.
The little wooden posts on my deck
had snow caps.. I just couldn't resist
drawing smiley faces on them.
This picture is of a a pond that we cross frequently,
And  one time there  was a
deer actually crossing through the water to get to
the other side, It was so beautiful.  So I always hope
to see him again.

Happy New Year 2023 Card

Happy New Year!
I thought I'd make a festive card to "ring" in
the year.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Decorated with Happiness,
It's a celebration, Seasonal Bells
I love silver bells, the song, and just the charm of the
bells themselves.  There is something nostalgic about them.
I love the sound of church bells in their bell towers.
I was pleasantly surprised at how this card turned out.
The grays and silver with just a hint of color on the bow
and evergreens.  I used dimensional to raise the bells.
I've also been busy making multiple Christmas cards.
I'm not sure if I shared these pictures or not.  So
forgive me if I'm repeating myself.
The first bunch.
I really like having extras on hand so I can make
sure to send out to all my friends and family,
I also like to send out cards anonymously
in hopes to brighten someone's day.
The second bunch.
This is a picture (below) from one of my all time
favorite Christmas movies.
Can you guess the title?
Our little darling is loving this tiny little couch.
It was my son's when he was little boy, so it is a family
treasure, and now HP loves it too.
May the New Year bring in Health and Happiness,
and May the Love of Jesus fill your hearts
and home to overflowing.
