Sketch #418 Sweet Strawberry, Stampin Up

It finally came.  My strawberry punch.
So of course I wanted to make a card using it.
I'm so excited.  I thought perhaps they forgot about
me because it was on back order for quite some time.
But it came.  Isn't it lovely.  Now I can add
my one stamp set and punch to my etsy shop.
Because I like this little flower and don't need another.
or at least I tell myself that now.
The stamp set and matching punch that I will be adding
is:  thoughtful blooms
I made a whole video on this card.  But have no
idea how to get it uploaded from this phone to
youtube.  But perhaps I'll figure it out later.
If  I can tear myself away from my new obsession
this bakery game.  ( I included a picture of my
little bakery on the bottom of this post)
My husband says to make sure to tell our daughter,
that she has created a cookie "monster"  bahaha
all my creative juices are going into the game
and not into card making.  That cracks me up.
Could be true.
I wish I could share the video with you, then
you'd all see the struggle is real.  The perfect
placement of the stamped images and such.
It's painfully boring to watch, and yet funny
because I have Christmas music going in the
background.  I'm sure it would drive some nuts.
I love it.
Excuse my hubby's foot.. but I love how HP
jumps up to look out the window.  He looks
a bit beefy here, I can assure you it's all fur.
He will being getting shaved for the summer.
Perhaps I should take a before & after picture.
Now lookie here.  My nerve plant is
being quite dramatic, because I forgot to
water it.
first little sip and it starts to perk up.
Finally standing tall and proud again.
Sometimes we all just need a little drink.
Water of course 😉
Now here is my little bakery. I took a screen shot of it.
I had to make a little library sitting area of course.
Then a little playroom for the kiddos.  Oh gosh.
I'm a 50 year old kid.  haha.

I'm going to submit my card to the challenge at:
The stamp set with matching punch:

#tttc110 Color & Contour, Stampin Up Encouragement

Today I made this card for the challenge at:
I chose to go with the middle row, embossing,
florals, and encouraging sentiment.
For the embossing I used a lovely folder.
For the floral, I used my brand new stamp set:
Stampin Up:  Color & Contour
The encouraging sentiment, is a stamp that
I purchased from a local craft store.  I think
it is great.
I love how the colors are so vibrant.  I added a few
of the embellishments around the flower.
I used dimensionals on both the flowers and
the white embossed card stock.  I think it just
really stands out this way.

Challenge #210 Party Puffins, Stampin Up

I knew I'd have to order this stamp set in the new
catalog.   When my kids were younger they
received those fun Ranger Rick magazines
from my parents as a gift.   The kids are the ones
that introduced me to the Puffins.  I think they
are adorably cute.   Our kids learned so many things
from those magazines.  ohhh, the times were so
much more simple back then.
I decided to make my own DSP using the candle
stamp from the new set.
I love the little fish as a gift.   Perfect since
that is their diet.  I highly doubt it's a goldfish though.  😉
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
Our theme for the new challenge is
"Anything Goes"

#TGIFC313~ Vintage Postcard, Woven Heirlooms, Positive Thoughts, Very Versailles, Stampin Up

When I came across this challenge at TGIF Challenges
I knew I'd want to play along.
Because it would give me an opportunity
to pull out one of my oldlies but goldies stamp set.
All the stamp sets featured in this
card are stampin Up.  I'll start with the
oldest one.
Vintage Postcard (2001)
Very Versailles
Woven Heirlooms
Positive Thoughts
I think they all worked wonderful together.
The writing desk on the bottom usually has a vase
of flowers sitting on the top, but this time I had to
cut them off because they didn't fit under the
script lettering  very nicely.  I think it's fine without it.

Sketch #417~ Baby Pull Toys, Buffalo Check, Stampin up

How do you color a lion?  That is my question
of the day.  Haha.  My lions usually tend to
look like a bear with a mane.  But I try.
This card got a bit busy on me.   But I let
it go because babies are busy.  So that
is my reasoning behind the madness.  haha
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
The Stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Baby Pull Toys
Stampin Up:  Buffalo Check
I decided to use decorative lollipop brads for the top
part of the sentiment banner.  Also one heart on
the bottom.  My favorite animal to color and the
one I think that looks the best in this card
would be the giraffe.
Well folks.  Thank you again for the prayers.
I've started taking two pills for my blood
pressure.  The doctor had me in today to talk
about it and assures me to try it.  So here we go
with that.  I have my holistic appointment on
May 5th, and still waiting to hear from the
specialists for my autoimmune diseases.
Hope they all work together, and we can
get this under control.  Lord Willing.

In other news.  My daughter introduced me
to a game that I'm completely hooked on.
I've not ever been a "gamer"  of any sorts
My kids didn't have video games growing up.
However, when we got facebook, there is a game
called words with friends.  Oh my gosh I LOVE it.
Well now that we have iphones there is all sorts
of apps (I'm still learning)  but the one is
called The bakery shop.  it's so much
fun.  Because I love decorating my little bakery.
So here I am a 50 year old playing bakery.
I'm also taking my sweet time reading the second
book in this lovely series because I don't want it
to end.  Can anyone else relate to that?
These are their titles:
The Accidental Empress and Sisi Empress on her own.

Do you enjoy reading?

Challenge #415 - Sketch~ Swirly Frames, Under my umbrella, So Happy Together, Stampin up

This is not at all where I intended to go with
this little card today.  I included a picture at
the bottom here of the original card I started.
But it seemed so sad and depressing I scratched
that idea and went in a different direction.
I do this a lot.  Does anyone else relate?
For the two circles I used the same ink, I just
stamped off before stamping the smaller one.
I wanted to give some contrasting color between
the two.
Then came the lily pads placement, I mean Mr. Frog
had to sit on something.  So quite and effort to
not cover up the  whole circle.
I really love how it looks like his little frog hand
is actually holding the umbrella.  It was perfect.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Swirly Frames
Stampin Up:  Under My Umbrella
Stampin Up:  So Hoppy Together
There it is folks.  The sad start of a card.
It just seems depressing to me 😢
So let's cheer things up again.
Here are the containers I decorate with
my lovely daisy duct tape.  They hold
my alcohol markers perfectly.
I don't make an effort to line up the
daisies, because that actually don't bother me.
So weird since I'm quite OCD over
many things.  I mean I count my stamps,
and dies to make sure that none go missing.
Just a little glimpse into how my brain is wired.
haha
And look how grand they stack.  It's a
wonderful way to recycle these lovely
containers.. and the yellow matches
the center of my daisies beautifully.

Sketch #416 Wonderful As You

Oh gosh, when I made this card I was thinking of
my kiddos.  They are amazing young adults, but
nevertheless, mama's worry.    I'll share a short story.
My daughter moved out to VA to be with her boyfriend
at the time.  Who is now her husband of 3 years and counting
Bless their hearts.  But it was hard to see her go so far away.
Then they moved back to WI.  and settled for a few
years.  That bought a house, doing great and decided time for
another adventure, so they headed out west.  Oh my friends, the
day came for this and I put a smile on my face.
Our son, and his girlfriend helped them drive
over 2000 miles out west to Vancouver.
That morning bright an early while the neighborhood
was still sleeping I watched all four kiddos drive away.
It was raining and I had tears streaming down my
face. I'm a broken woman and can't offer any help
to them. So i'm so grateful they stuck together and
helped each other.  However, by myself in my car I sobbed
thinking goodbyes are so so hard and it hurts so bad.
But they must live their lives.
My story has a happy ending. PRAISE the LORD
Last November they drove home.  They flew my
courageous son and his girlfriend out there, so he
could drive the big uhaul and trailer home and they'd
follow in their other car packed with household items.
My poor daughter was a nervous wreck because the
weather was terrible when they got to the mountains,
and she wanted to turn back, but my son, just said
let's keep hauling we got this, slow we go, but no turning
back.  He even had a flat tire on the flat bed trailer he
was pulling behind that truck. I hadn't heard from
them for a few hours and this mama was getting nervous
and then the texts came they had pulled over at a
hotel and had made it safely out of the mountains.
Thank you JESUS.   Now all the our kiddos are in
the same time zone for now.  All that to say I know
how hard it is to say goodbye.  Some goodbyes
don't have a happy ending here on earth, and some
might seem quite final like death, but just know
that there is HOPE  and Heaven is our home.
((HUGS)) to all those who are going through something
tough right now.  You're not alone.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin up:  Wonderful as You
Did you notice I wrote the word: Taxi on the top of the
car, and also NY for the license plates?   I like little adding
fun little details like that.

Health news:  My blood pressure is all wacky and
so they want me to increase a dosage of the Rx I'm on.
I don't know how increasing it will help since just taking
one pill is already raising it considerably I get filled
with anxiety thinking what two pills will do.
I've made an appointment with a holistic doctor person.
not sure how I feel about seeing such a person, but I'm
going to give it a try and see what they say in regards to
these autoimmune diseases.  Have any of you ever used
holistic doctors before?   Please share your advice.

Sorry I ran so long with this post.  I just get all emotional
when I talk about my kiddos.  I just love them so much.
