Sketch 444~ Cheers to that, Number of Years, Sip sip hooray, Stampin Up

I made one more card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Cheers to That
Stampin Up:  Number of years
Stampin Up:  Sip Sip Hooray
I enjoy making slimline cards.  I had this grand
idea pop into my head last night about using
this sketch for a New Year's card.
I chose gold again. because well I had it on hand.
and it seemed like the right color
for a new year's card.  and those little gold
dots in the background remind me of tiny bubbles,
like perhaps in a drink.
I like how the olives bring a little color to the card.
I am not a fan of olives, give me a maraschino cherry
any day in my drink. 😉
Hope you will have a "spook-tacular" Halloween.
and also that the weather is nice by you.  Getting windy
and cold here, just wouldn't be Halloween if
ya didn't have to "brave" the weather.

Sketch #444~ Perfectly plaid, Holly Jolly wishes, stampin up

How does one take a picture of a slimline card?
Oh my goodness, perhaps it was the gold paper I
chose too, that was giving me such trouble.
In the end I turned off my bright light so no more
glares.  It gave it a whole new look.  I posted that
picture lastly.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Perfectly Plaid
Stampin Up:  holly Jolly Wishes
I was going to go for a pumpkin line up, and then
I said to myself, will I mail it out before Halloween?
and I thought my gosh that is just a couple days away,
so nope.  Go for Christmas.
So I made a Christmas tree line up.
My favorite part of this card perhaps is the little stars
on the tree tops and by the sentiment.  Sort of ties
it all together with that DSP.
How these picture will fit on the instagram or the
challenge blog is beside me.  I just can't seem to
take a nice slimline picture.  that's why I usually
make the smaller slimline, but today I worked
with the big one.  9¼ x 4.

I honestly can't believe it's practically Halloween.
I'm in a fog of doctor appointments and frustration.

I think it's time to bring out the novels again
to escape reality.  haha.  Any suggestions for
a good book?

Sketch #443~ Happy Harvest, Lawn Fawn

I made another card for the challenge at:
Stamp set featured in this card is:
Lawn Fawn:  Happy Harvest
The biggest issue I had in making this card
was the colors to choose.   Especially for
that little birdie.
I didn't want to make him a blue bird to match
the bibs on the scarecrow, or make him a red
bird to make him really pop in color
So I decided a little sparrow would be grand.
Soft brown/with grays.  and then it all
muddled together.  Guess it worked in my
favor this time.
Well folks the never ending  high blood pressure
journey.  They put me on a new med that is
now raising it yet again.  I feel like a lab rat.
ugh.  Just one thing after the other, and no
success.  anyways  I have to Trust the LORD
to help me through this.  Thank you to all
those praying.    I'm trying to watch my salt
now too.  And that is a big struggle for me,
since I love salt, ketchup, and bbq sauce
But for my health I'm going to cut back.

Perhaps God willing that will help me.

Sketch 443~Be Jolly, Snowman Season, Itty Bitty Christmas Card, Stampin up

I made a Christmas card
for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Be Jolly
Stampin Up:   Snowman Season
Stampin Up:  Itty Bitty Christmas
The colors are quite non-traditional, but I
think it works well with this snowman today.
I even colored the gifts to try and
match that of the DSP.
I must say I do love that little red bird.  He just
pops in color and speaks Christmas to me.
I love traditional colors way better.
But that's just me.  I'm a bit old fashion perhaps.
I even colored the top hat.  and didn't make
it black.  (GASP)   I suppose they can be
any color one chooses.
Well folks, I worked on a few pencil packets
for my daughter and son-in-law to pass out
for Halloween.  They get so many kiddos.
Last year they were living on the west coast.
So we didn't get the opportunity to give treats.
It's good to have them back in town again.

FMS507~Be Jolly, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Be Jolly
This is one of those stamp sets that
I wanted to purchase but didn't want to.
You see I only like a few of the images in
this set.  So I went back and forth in my
mind and the catalog, and finally made the
decision to purchase it.
Thank goodness I liked more than just one image, or
I couldn't have justified purchasing it.
That candy cane DSP really pops in the color.

Sketch 442 ~ Cutest Halloween, Cauldron Bubble, Stampin up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Cutest Halloween
Stampin Up:  Cauldron Bubble
Oh I had grand plans for this sketch.
I started building layers of card stock,
using polka dot DSP, and then I realized
If I didn't stop myself the card would be
at least ¼ inch thick.  In paper alone.
So I started taking apart my card one piece
at a time, and here folks is the finished look.
Much less busy and better so as not to be
too distracting even though my little
spooks are clustered together, at least they
are cute.
I like the candy corn background it seems to
keep it all held together very seasonably.

HSSSC374~Clever Cats, Counting Sheep, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Clever Cats
Stampin Up:  Counting Sheep (Fence die)
I love that frisky little cat peeking out the
top of the pumpkin so he could keep his
eyes on the spider nearby.
\
Sometimes I wonder why I choose the colors
I do for my cards.  The fence panel was hard
to see when I cut it out in the matching brown.
So I sponged white lightly over the top, now
it sort of resembles a cob web look.
"purr-fect"  haha
The pumpkin line up is washi tape,

FUSION - Poppy Door, Pretty Pumpkin, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Pretty Pumpkin
I used the sketch, and turned it horizontal.  I also
used brick from the photo.  I sponged in some fall colors.
This card didn't take the best picture.  Not sure
why that is.  Perhaps the dark colors.
But it's quite elegant in person.
I put clear wink of stella on each of the pumpkins
for some sparkle.   I love how the gold cord behind
them really bring out the gold on the DSP.
