Cards #12, 13, and 14 for 2024

Hello Crafters.
I couldn't get this card to go no matter how
hard I tried.  This was my final attempt to
make it look like a lovely winter scene.
I sponged the top with blue and soft pink.  I always
think the skies have a pink hue when there is a
snowfall, however after stamping the mountains,
The pink sort of just disappeared.  haha
After stamping and fussy cutting a few of the images,
I added the pearl accent paint.  Once I started I
thought everything on the card needed a little drop
of pearl paint.  I think it really worked well on the
mountains, and highlighted the pond lovely.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
    #156 Winter Wonderland
Below are a few of the cards I've
had in my basket of unfinished business.
As you can see I completed them and I am
most excited to keep up the good work
of cleaning out that basket.

Below is a picture of our beloved little HP.
His health is rapidly declining.  So we are
faced with an awful decision.
So everyday we do our best and pray that God will
give us some direction here or take him home peacefully.
The verse I chose for the cards today is:
Colossians 3:32KJV
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Card #11 for 2024

Hello Crafters
I've been trying to crochet a few things again,
However, I did need a bit of a break, so
back to card making.
I want to keep using my Valentine DSP,
before I let myself get anymore.
This was the perfect chance to do just that.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamps sets in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Forever Lovely, Meant to be,
and I used the deckled circle dies. (love those)
It was a bit tricky to get all the pieces to match up,
so I used a scrap paper as a guide for my cutting,
and wouldn't ya know it I still made a few mistakes,
so I used some fun pink ribbon to cover up the uneven
cutting lines.   I think that sparkle paper gives it just
enough bling and pop for a Valentine card, although
I was a wee bit worried about my dies because
that glitter paper is quite tough.  So I flipped it over
to hopefully save the edges of my dies.

Below are a few of my projects I've been working on.
This is my first time ever making a hat.
Then I decided I needed to make some heart
coasters, and realized if I keep it small I can make
a little pin for hats, coats or a scarf.
So I put it on the hat and I think it's super cute.
Here are a few of things I've been working on.
Which is your favorite?
I was able to wash HP's beds and he was
most excited to have them warm from the
drier.  I do believe it was soothing to him.
He drools very bad now that he can't swallow,
so mopping up and vacuuming has become an
everyday chore here and has me spent by the
afternoon.  It takes him about 30 minutes in the
morning for all the cares.  We did find a way
to get him drinking from a bottle, and have a
food that he is able to eat,  It's just a lot of
preparation.  So I will be making more food
tomorrow for the little pup.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Matthew 7:12KJV
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men
should do to you, do ye even so to them:
for this is the law and the prophets.

Card #10 for 2024

Hello Crafty friends.
No surprise here, it's another Valentine.
I will enter this in the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Country Bouquet

I let the DSP do most all of the work here.
I only stamped the sentiments and the little
hearts on the inside of the card.
One can't have too many hearts for a
Valentine's Day card. (wink)

I had the most exhilarating Saturday morning,
because my brand new snake plant arrived.
It was everything I wanted.  The tall 3 foot
beauty was gorgeous for about 8 hours,
then the leaves starting falling and I realized
the soil was frozen like an ice cube, so I
immediately asked for hubby to assist
me in transplanting it to new warm soil
and it was too late.  I'm so sad over such
a silly thing, and mad at myself for being
so worked up over it.  ugh  but there it
is, all flopped and dead.  Hoping that
maybe there is a root in there by the Grace
of God that can survive.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Proverbs 10:12 KJV
Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

Card #9 for 2024

Hello Crafting friends.
Looks like I will be making Valentine Day
cards for a few more days.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:

The challenge or theme is
 Anything Goes

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Count on me
Country Bouquet, color & contour, welcoming woods,
meant to be, forever lovely

I used quite a few stamp sets to make this simple
card, but it all tied together quiet nicely.   Valentine
cards are fun to make if I just let my imagination
run wild with what I have on hand in my stamp room.
So mixing it up always creates a one of a kind card.
HP is taking it easy again.   He really is enjoying
his one egg a day.  It seems to go down well for him
The verse I chose for this card is:
1 Corinthians 16:14KJV
Let all your things be done with charity (LOVE).

Card #8 for 2024

Hello Crafting friends.
This card has it all, tis packed full of winter delight.
Inspired by the Christmas wrapping paper
I received from my daughter.
I added evergreen branches, pinecones, and
a whole panel of diecut snowflakes.
I even cut out pieces of the wrapping paper
to glue on the vase.
Of course I had to add a little gold bow then
finished it off with some gold embellishments.
I just couldn't stop myself, this is like an I
spy book my kids use to read.  Let's see
what we can spy on this card?  haha
My daughter says, "it's dramatic"  So
there you have it.
I will submit it to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up: Earthen textures, Decorated with
happiness, Christmas pinecone die,
Snowflake die.
Look what came today a new little stamp.
I have quite a collection of personal stamps to
add to the back of my cards, and yet none
look as nice and professional as the  NEW one.
I love it.  I  think it's the easiest to read too.
Below is a picture of HP, the little
fella is not doing so well.  12 years old
and now having trouble with breathing and
drinking again.  We are trying to keep
the little guy going as long as God allows.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Jeremiah 17:8KJV
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth
out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh,
but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful
in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Card #7 for 2024

Hello Crafting friends.  I found a
new to me challenge blog to play along with.
It is most exciting when that happens.
I will submit my card to the challenge at:
The theme is: Something New

I chose to do a "valentine" card, because
I have a "new love" for crocheting.
I learned how way back in the 3 or 4th
grade when I was in girl scouts, and it
was just a quick little session but I learned
a few basic things, well now thanks to
you tube it has rekindled that Love, and
it's all "new" again.
The stamp sets featured in this card are
Stampin Up:  Strong of Heart, Sweet Conversations

I gotta say I'm pretty impressed with that bow I tied,
Not to often do my bows behave themselves so nicely.

Below is a picture of my first crocheted heart.
I'm excited to make many colors, and perhaps add
them to my etsy shop.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 63:3 KJV
Because thy lovingkindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise thee.

Card #6 for 2024

Hello fellow crafters, I hope you are all staying warm.
Its rising in temps here today, we are at zero finally.
A warm welcome to the new ladies on the design team
at Time out challenges.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  It's a celebration, and Number
of years
It was all fun and games making this card,
until my number four die fell behind the book
case, and will now have to be retrieved later by
my husband.  So instead of shadowing each
of the silver numbers individually I had to settle
for a navy blue horizontal strip.  Such is
life, it will have to do.
I added a few little embellishments to the
center of the fireworks, and and bit of glitter
to top of the bubbly.
I was getting my vitamin D today thanks to this
beautiful sunrise, longing for summer.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Isaiah 43:19KJV
 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth;
shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness,
 and rivers in the desert.
