Sketch #384~Seaside View, Waterfront, Bloom With Hope, Stampin UP, Happy 50th Birthday to my Hubby

Today is my Husband's 50th birthday.   I
didn't have a card made for him until this afternoon.
I wanted to make something spectacular,
however, the creative juices were not flowing today.
So this is the best I could come up with.
He said he liked it.   So that's all that matters.

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Seaside View
Stampin Up:  Waterfront
Stampin Up:  Bloom With Hope
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:

I ended up flipping the "flower" mage on the sketch to the opposite side.
Because otherwise my chair would not be facing the
sunset.  We can't have that, it would not make sense in my mind.
Of course my husband thought the birds were crows, I insisted
they were eagles, just silhouettes.  Aw, the great debate.  But
we did both agree on the lemonade though. 😉

FUSION - Dragonfly~ Dragonfly Dreams, Happy Birthday To You, Stampin up

I'm playing with my homemade light box again.  Do you think the cards look
better laying flat or standing up?  I do think it brightens the picture a bit.
At least that is the hope.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:

I chose to play with both the sketch and photo.
I really like the contrast of the purples and green, I think it
makes the whole card pop.    I used a bit of ribbon for the edge
and a few embellishments around the dragonfly for accent on
the opposite side.    I love how whimsical the sentiment looks.
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Dragonfly Dreams
Stampin Up:  Happy Birthday To you
Today was a bit of a struggle with the tingling in my fingers,
I was dropping everything.  But I am pleased and humbly grateful
that I can keep on stamping.   My husband did have to come in the
craft room and fetch a few things that had fallen.
We were able to enjoy some outside time, and then "poof"  Saturday
flew by, and before we knew it nightfall was upon us.

Hope you're all doing well and staying safe.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

SSC238 LET'S GET SKETCHY~ Painted Poppies, Stampin Up

I tried to make my own white box to get better pictures of
my cards.  So I recycled a box, cut off a few edge flaps, then added some white
card stock to the inside.   I thought I had it all figured out until I noticed
you could see the seams where the paper came together.  SIGH.. So then the
lovely sheer curtain in my craft room was my next idea.  Lay that over the
box and see if it helps.  Good grief I can waste my time do things like this.
So what do you think?  Do you like it better then my previous posts where
I always had the cards on my little house board?  I truly would like
your opinion here.  Or perhaps suggestions on how you take nice pictures.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
I flipped the sketch on the side, because I really wanted to highlight
the poppies, and It just worked best this way.
The little embellishment is held on by a brad, and then I used
some white liquid pearl paint to fill it in.   I also used an embossing
folder on the narrow strip to give it some detail, without making
it to much with all those poppies, that I popped on top.
The stamp set featured today is:
Stampin Up:  Painted Poppies

Also, just a note I shared a few pictures in my previous post of my
Handsome little HP.  Being that it was International Dog day.  So
If you're interested scroll on down.  🐶

Sketch #383 Snowman Season Stampin Up, Merry Christmas

I was having a difficult time getting myself motivated today.
Usually stamping is the sure way to get me going, but for
some reason, I just felt this pressure to put things in my
Etsy shop, and then try to do some "advertising"  on fb.
Then I started thinking since I got my little phone I've been hooked
on Instagram.  It's like pinterest, But golly I can see where people
spend so much screen time on the phones.  I'm guilty.   Hence
the lack of motivation, and added pressure to myself, just to
get out there online among so many talented stampers.
Any ways I did eventually go to one of my favorite sketch blogs to get inspired.
So I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card today is:
Stampin Up:  Snowman Season
I thought the 3 individual frames in this sketch were perfect for the 3 sections
of a snowman being built.   I hope it comes across as cute and not some weird
headless snowman in the first two frames.  YIKES.  Didn't think of that until
now after looking at it for too long.    It's not the traditional colors I usually
love for Christmas, but nevertheless, I enjoy making Christmas cards.

By the Way did you know it's international Dog day today?   So of course I will
share a couple pictures of my beloved HP.  He is such a darling pal.  In the words of
my daughter.
"He is the cutest, most sassy dog I’ve ever known. He’s got personality for sure! "🥰

CTS #386~Making Christmas Bright, Merry Moose, Stampin Up Merry Christmas Card

Today,  I made a quick and simple card for the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Making Christmas Bright
Stampin Up:  Merry Moose
I love that moose, and the fact it has a matching punch is
AWESOME.  Makes creating cards with it so easy and fun.
I was struggling with numb fingers again today, but
pleased I was able to make this card while dealing
with the troubles of tingling numbness.
I like the simplicity of this card, and those twinkling lights
just sing Merry Christmas to me.

HSSIC346 For All Things, Forever Fern Stampin Up

This is my first time using this new stamp set.
So I thought I'd play with fall
colors and enter it in this challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  For All Things
Stampin Up: Forever Fern (The New One)
I was getting a bit frustrating with my card, because
it appeared to always look so crowded and messy,
Then I got out my dimensionals and that helped
do a bit better job with the layering.  It's a work in progress
and I'm excited to play with different colors to see what
I can come up with.   I also love the rustic feel that ribbon
gives the card.   I used two different color inks on each of the images,
I love how it shaded them so nicely.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #568~ Whale Done, Stampin Up

I noticed the other day that people use their wood grain embossing
folder to create different backgrounds.  So that is what I did with mine
here today.  I think it turned out wonderful as the sky and sea.
The stamp set featured in this cards is:
Stampin Up:  Whale Done
I will submit this card to the challenge at:

Sketch #382 ~ Stuck on You, Lawn Fawn, My Sunshine, Mama Elephant.

Can you believe this?  I don't have a bigger sun ray stamp.  So even
though this is a standard A2 card, I scaled down the center a bit
to match the stamp I did have.   I think I better search for a sun ray stamp to
purchase for my collection 😉  Any suggestions?
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Lawn Fawn:  Stuck On You
Mama Elephant:  My Sunshine
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
Oh gosh I was going to take one more picture and I forgot.  Drats!   I
have the perfect little necklace I was going to show you with this card,
because it has a cactus on it.  Even though I live in WI.  I think in my
heart I've always thought I should live in AZ.
This was a fairly simple card to make, the fussy cutting was the
challenging part for me today.

Here's a random thought:  I have bookmarks in my etsy shop,
and I just had this marvelous idea of putting beads on some of the ribbon tassels.
What do you think?   I suppose I best write not intended for children in the description.
I don't want anyone to swallow them, or choke.  I just  thought they might sell if I
spruce them up a bit.

Well my husband made me a little shelter over our 8 foot deck.  I Love it
Of course we used what we had on hand, and it's not the proper material,
but it works for us.  It's wonderful.  I call it my Deck Hut.  HP loves it
too, the deck boards are not so hot on his paws.  My sweetie takes things
serious, because the doctor said I was suppose to stay out of the sun.  This is
difficult for me since I LOVE being out in the sun.  but now I have a
little roof over my head out there.

I love my little deck Hut, and my Sweetheart for taking such good care of me. 💑

Health:  I finally have an appointment with a Neurologist in Septemeber.
Still dealing with tingles, numbness, and another outbreak of hives, but it could
be worse, so I'm going to practice gratitude.  I have many things to be happy for.
I found this to be very encouraging today:
No photo description available.

My message was:  Even in Sadness, Rejoice because, the LORD is your ever present help.
How lovely.💗
