Challenge #186~ Have a Hoot, Spooktacular Bash, Stampin Up, Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween❕
I thought I better get with the program
and get a Halloween card made.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
Challenge #186

Our theme for the new challenge is

"Halloween Fun"
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Have a Hoot
Stampin Up:  Spooktacular Bash
I like how this spooky little window turned
out.  With all the science experiments sitting
on the window sill.  I used glossy accents
on those jars so they looked authentic.
The DSP paper is fabulous with the bats
in the background, perfect for Halloween night.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

FUSION - Autumn ~ In the Pines, Warm & Toasty Stampin up, Merry Christmas

I made this card for the challenge at:
I played the sketch side for the card.
The stamp sets featured are:
Stampin Up:  In The pines
Stampin Up:  Warm & Toasty
I used and embossing folder for the overall
background, to create a gentle looking snowfall.
After stamping coloring and fussy cutting, it
looked a bit simple yet, so I added some
Stampin Up:  Snowfall accents puff paint
Stampin Up:  Shimmery White embossing paste.
This stuff is awesome.  Takes the card to a whole
new level of sparkle and dimension.
I wasn't a big fan of the "rabbits" in the sleigh, in
this stamp set. but I've convinced myself  that
if I color little sweaters on
them they would make the perfect little carolers.
I pretend they are singing Jingle Bells. 😉

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

TMS #578~ From All Of Us, Stampin Up, Happy Birthday Card

The second card I made today is for the challenge
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  From All of Us
I turned the card on the side to fit the image I
wanted to stamp.
I love how the DSP gives it a whimsical look.
I carried a little of the DSP to the inside of the card
as well.
I was so happy to be able to make two cards today.
It felt like old times, And then just now as I'm
writing this blog, I got a sale in my Etsy shop.
What a wonderful surprise.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

SSC242 SKETCH TIME~ #Elfie, Hung With Care, Stampin Up Merry Christmas

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  #Elfie
Stampin Up:  Hung With Care
I went a little bit nuts with that fabulous heat
puff paint. Oh my gosh, it's just so fun.
I even added some around the sentiment as if to be snow.
I embossed the background with the brick folder,
to make it look like the stockings were hung by the
chimney with care.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Challenge #394 - Sketch ~ For Unto Us, Wondrous Wreath, Stampin Up. Recollections, Christmas Noel

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  For Unto Us
Stampin Up:  Wondrous Wreath
Recollections:  Christmas Noel
I thought the cute penguins would be perfect
for the 9 images.  However, the stamp set
is not as nice as my usual sets, so it was
a bit extra working tracing the lines, because
the images didn't stamp clear.  But that
is ok, it was an inexpensive set.
I almost didn't want to put a sentiment directly
over the top of the little fellas in the middle row.
Because they were so cute.   I did
try to place it so at least they all have some
what of a face showing.  😉
I wanted to add some puff paint to the little
tops of their hat, but I put the brakes on because
I remembered this is a CAS card.  Phew.
I do love the sparkle.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Sketch 392~IO D12249, IO D4381, Stampin Up: From All of Us, and Itty Bitty Greetings.

Do you ever just get an image stuck in your head, and
you have to make it work no matter what?   That is
the case with my card today.
I was inspired by a little afternoon trip I took with
my husband and HP (our dog)  I don't get out
very much anymore so this was a real treat.  I'll share
some pictures.
Do ya see it?  Where the inspiration came from?
And my sweet little HP loved coming along.
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Impression Obsession: D12249
Impression Obsession: D4381
Stampin Up:  From All of Us
Stampin Up: Itty Bitty Greetings
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
I tried to incorporate all the elements on the sketch.
It was a bit tricky to figure out how to do the bow,
but then I thought why not stamp another door and
pop it up with some dimensionals.  It worked well.
Makes it look like a very inviting church then too.
I thought it would be fun also to include a picture of
the church I drew when I was a kid.  My hubby went
and found it in my childhood memory box, and unrolled
it for me so I could get a picture.  This is the little
First Baptist Church I grew up in.
Such lovely memories there.
Below is a picture of the church today.
It has a new roof, wheelchair ramp, and they closed the
bell tower and put a gold roof there. Nevertheless
the beautiful stained glass windows are there and
I can still imagine the inside as it used to be.
Well folks,  I got all side tracked here going down
memory lane.  Any ways, the card is pretty simple,
nothing to fantastic, just a lot of sentimental reasons
for making it today.  I do get a kick out of the sentiment
on the inside.  I need to remember God is the author
of my life, not me.

Health update:  I am on schedule for the brain MRI
on Thursday Nov. 12th.  I could truly use prayers that I can
handle it. I'm so claustrophobic.  I've actually had medicine
in the past to calm down, and well they've had to pull me
out.  I don't know why I can't get this head to calm down.

Any ways that's the scoops.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Challenge #143 - Quote~ Campology, Stampin Up. Keep The Faith

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Campology
The sentiment is a single stamp I
purchased at a craft store.
I was inspired by the little road trip my Husband and
I took yesterday.   I don't get out much anymore,
because of my health, but it was a glorious day,
and I loved going for a ride.  Here is a lovely picture
we took of our adventure.  HP (our dog) came with too.
I love the little church up there on the rocks.  In fact,
I already have an idea for another card.  This
little trip gave me tons of inspiration.
This is the first time I ever tried to do the
reflection technique.  I'm really happy with how it
turned out.  I got the idea off of the internet, and put
my own twist to the card.  Ya know a girl has to
make it her own.  I always tend to think or make
things different. I am surprised that as a child I
actually colored in the lines.   I really enjoy making
these slimline cards.  They are just hard to squeeze
into the picture though.
I  love the quote.  Such a good reminder to
take a leap of faith.
Did you notice the cute little pinecone?

Looks like one of my blog followers is no
longer following, I'm starting to realize in
this social media world that is the way it goes.
I'm sad nevertheless, but I'll just keep stamping
and putting my cards out on social media and if
some like it that is wonderful, and for those that don't
it's ok too.  I'm not everybody's cup of tea.  😉

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Challenge 480 Love what you do, Crafting Forever, Label me Bold, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Love What You Do
Stampin Up:  Crafting Forever
Stampin Up: Label Me Bold
I wanted to incorporate a new to me stamp
set because I loved the sentiment so much.
It is the one on the front of this card.
I LOVE to stamp cards, and when I saw that
sentiment I knew I'd "need" to purchase the set.
I like the bold simplicity of this card.

We had a lovely little visitor at the feeder.  I
think he is the culprit doing some damage to
one of our trees in the yard.
