CAS Game #159 Garden Whimsy, Itty Bitty Greetings, Stampin Up

I made this fast clean card for the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Garden Whimsy (year 2007)
Stampin Up:  Itty Bitty Greetings ( I believe it retired in 2018)

I love the simplicity of this card.  I think it has a spring clean kind of look to it. 😊

This Garden whimsy set is one I just can't seem to part with.  I have a few like that.  Sometimes those vintage stamps work great with new stamps, and so it makes it difficult to clean out the collection.  Nevertheless, I won't complain, I'll just need to sell the ones I can.  😉

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

TMS #543 Forever Blossoms, Stampin UP

I was happy again to make a standard card today.  I have been making box cards lately, they are so much fun.   I will include some pictures of the few I've made.
But first let me describe the card today.
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Forever Blossoms.

I love this set because of the cherry blossoms.  They are so pretty.   Actually that is one of the very few silk flowers I have in my home.   I love vases.  One might say I collect them, but usually it's just a vase, however in one there are silk cherry blossoms.
I used an embossing folder on the side to give it a delicate, soft look.  I think the sentiment fits perfectly between combining both sides.

I will submit this card to the challenge at:

FUSION - Decor~ Eiffel Tower, Paris France,Amour, Stampin up

Today I  made a simply elegant card for the challenge at:

My take on the sketch and photo, is simplicity and class.  I like the classic black, gray and white colors, with the clean lines.  Hence the DSP lined paper.  It  made me think of Paris, back in the day with old fashion hat boxes that were lovely decorated.   Perhaps sipping tea  in the garden area around the  Eiffel Tower.  I was going to add a ribbon for the transition between the white card stock and DSP, but in the end I chose to keep it simply elegant.

I really was surprised at how easy this card was to make.  It even fits into a standard A2 size envelope.   The great bonus is that it folds flat for mailing.

Sketch #357 Lovely Lily Pad, Southern Serenade, Stampin Up

Oh my goodness, I am not a DSP kind of gal, but I'm trying to be.  and I will admit,  I  Love the new Lily impressions DSP. It reminds me of Claude Monet's water lily pond. It has great colors.

I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in today's card are:

Stampin Up:  Lovely Lily Pad
Stamping Up:  Southern Serenade

I was unable to recreate those fancy corners in the sketch so I just kept the clean straight edges.

TMS #542 Artistically Asian, Stampin Up. Faith is Trusting God, Encouragement

Well I just had to make one more card with this fun challenge at:

This time I  followed the sketch outline instead of laying the card out horizontal.

I went with an Asian inspired card.  I've been using the stamp set from stampin up called Artistically Asian the past few days.  If you scroll down in my blog you will see a few other cards including this stamp set.

My husband helped me with the picture by shining a nice bright light on it.  So I had to post that one first.  He's such a grand helper to me.

Sketch #356~ Power of Hope, Artistically Asian, Beautiful Bouquet. Stampin Up

I've been a bit busy adding items to my etsy shop.  I'm trying to clean out my collection of stamps, and in doing so I found a few old favorites I just can't part with, any ways I have these lovely cases with no names, or stamp information so that's what I've been working on.  In fact I've been so busy that I haven't stamped in a few days.  I know "gasp"  haha.   So even though my little craft room is not completely organized yet, I got to work making a card.  By the way I will share a picture of what I mean with the cases and labeling them.

Today's card I will submit to the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Power of Hope
Stampin Up:  Artistically Asian
Stampin Up:  Beautiful Bouquet
When I first saw this sketch I was all happy, Polka dots just do that.  They seem "bubbly" and happy  When the word bubbly played on my mind it lead me down the bokeh path which seems to tie in well with an Asian inspired card.    Of course no card of mine (lately) is complete without a good helping of clear wink of stella sparkle.

I didn't know what the symbols were until I visited  this blog: Juana Create  she gave a wonderful description and her cards.. OH my word.  They are Gorgeous.

Now I'm sure many of you heard yesterday was "National Love your Pet day"   So I of course had to snap a picture of Mr. HP.  He stays close by and was watching me stamp.  If I had enough courage I would have not cropped the picture down, but being I have dimensional papers all over I was too embarrassed.  Between the dog and my socks.  WE track them throughout our home.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit, and reading my ramblings.

I'm so grateful that Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge team makes a new sketch each week for us to play along with.   For me personally I look forward to this, because being home all the time, this gives me a great outlet.  So I'm so thankful for their inspiration.

PP478~Hedgehugs, Stampin Up

I made this fun card today for the challenge at:

The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Hedgehugs

I tried to keep it clean and simple.  I really enjoy making cards, but sometimes I add a bit too much to them so when I am able to make a simple card and it turns out cute, that makes me so happy.  I think this card is the perfect example of how white space is precious and the character packs a punch, even down to the cute little mushrooms.

Week 361: SWEETHEART~Bloomin' Love Stampin Up

I made this Valentine Card for the challenge at:

The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Bloomin' Love

I die cut the big heart out, and then fussy cut out the red heart behind it.  I stamped the flowers and cut them out to glue down on the heart.  I arranged a few embellishments on the heart to give is some sparkle.

FMS422 Bloom with Hope, Stampin Up. Encouragement Card

I am loving this plastic wrap technique.  It is fabulous.  Ya never get the same look and it's a wonderful way to add a pop of color to a background.  Hence the yellow behind the flower on today's card.
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Bloom with Hope.
I really like the simplicity of this card.  I'm pleased that I didn't use any other colored cardstock.  I will say that was difficult, since I tend to like to layer things, but this turned out nicely.  I added a little wink of stella to the petals for some shimmer and a simple little bow to finish it off.

I will submit this card to the challenge at:

CTS #359~Above the Clouds, Encouragement Card

I made this card for the challenge at:

The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Above the Clouds

I cut the sentiment apart so I could carry it down to match the sketch.
After stamping and coloring I thought the clouds needed some sparkle so I added wink of stella to them.  I also added glossy accents to the balloons.

I made this fun card for the challenge at:

The stamp set featured in this card is
Stampin Up:  So Sentimental

Oh this was a fun sketch to work with and such a great way to use up those little precious DSP scraps, that I just can't seem to part with.  It's like they were waiting for such a card as this.   I'm glad for the opportunity to use them in this way.

Sketch #355~ Fintastic Friends, Lawn Fawn.

I just fell in love with the sketch this week at:

So I wanted to submit one more card that I created.

The stamp set featured in this card is:
Lawn Fawn:  Fintastic Friends

I used my new favorite technique with plastic wrap to create the water for my fish tank and the sand for the bottom.   It worked perfectly.
After stamping and coloring each image I fussy cut them out to make sure the placement was just right.  I added clear wink of stella to give everything a shimmer, and then added glossy accents to the bubbles for a bit of dimension.
