#GDP332~ Itty Bitty Greetings, On the Horizon, Jar of Flowers, Stampin up

I made this card for Ukraine.  To show
support in prayer.  I noticed on instagram
people were using the hashtag:  #cardsforukraine
I was inspired by the  challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Jar of Flowers
Stampin Up:  On The Horizon
Stampin Up:  Itty  Bitty Greetings
I was pleased to choose yellow to work
with, as it fit the cause and the challenge.
I learned that the Ukraine colors are
blue and yellow.   I will put this
card on my instagram page along with a prayer.
I really like the wood grain background.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.

I'd love to have you follow me on instagram at:

I've also added a new tab to the bar at the top of my blog.
I'll be trying to sell a few of my older stamp sets.
So keep checking back to see if there is something
there you might like.

SSC277 WINTER BLUES~ Let's set sail, Ready to pop, Stampin Up

I had every intention of going to church today.
It has been weeks since I've gone anywhere.
I even researched online the guidelines after
you've had the initial fever virus of covid.  I think
it's safe to be around people.  But I still
have symptoms of no smell and such.
I just don't want to give it to anyone, if I'm
still contagious.  It has been a miserable experience.
Still struggling with eye problems. no smell and so tired.
But thankful to be alive. So if I have to stay home
more, so be it.   More time for stamping.
I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Ready to Pop
Stampin Up:  Let's Set Sail
The ink colors are:
Marina Mist
Island Indigo
Early Espresso
Soft Suede
I've never went sailing.  But I always think
of the movie, "What About Bob"  He went sailing.
So funny.
I've gone boating and love it, whether
a ski boat and tubing, or a pontoon, for
a nice relaxing day on the lake.  I'm
thankful for those experiences growing up.
HP claimed his side of the bed today, and
was in no hurry to get going.
Such a little buddy.  He likes to stay
close by while I have my eye drops
and warm compresses.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.

#290 Fancy Fold~ Awesome Otters, Stampin Up, Push Here, Lawn Fawn

I made this fun easy fold card for the
challenge at: Cardz 4 Guys
#290 Fancy Fold
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Awesome Otter
Lawn Fawn:  Push Here
I love how the note card tucked on the
inside is seen from the front as well.
I also think it would be a fabulous
place to tuck in a gift card or
couple dollars without it falling out.
I clipped it shut so I could take a nice front
picture of it.
I hope the video works for you.
I'll also add it to my instagram post too.
My sweet little guy turns on the charm
when there is a snack to be had.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.

Challenge #423 ~Kite Delight, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Kite Delight
I wanted my kite to look like a ray of sunshine
coming through the clouds.  So hence the reason
for the kite color.
While making this card  I was very careful
not to use black ink, because I thought it
would be too bold.  Next time I might outline
the kite in black and see how that looks.
The clouds were made using a punch and DSP.
Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.

Sketch #461~Stellar Birthday Stampin Up

Oh gosh the shipping tape sure does show up in my
little homemade white box.  I will have to cover that
again.  I thought it wouldn't be so bad.  But there
is an awful glare now.
I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin up:  Stellar Birthday
I don't know if it is my coloring or the stamp itself,
but the little girl kind of don't look friendly. At least
that is my opinion.  The puppy however is quite happy.
Maybe if the girl had a treat like the little dog, she'd
be happy too.  haha.  I know I would be.
For the two horizontal strips I used black card
stock and silver, then layered white on top, because
they seemed too bold. and I really wanted my
make believe world to pop.  For the world I used
some DSP.  My sponging is not so grand.  I even
washed all the little sponges and daubers, but still
I struggle with the blending.  DSP to the rescue.
I punched out the little stars with the silver card stock.
and to finish it off I stamped the sentiment crooked.
Always something haha.
Hubby and I made HP some dogfood.
We have been trying to make it to see if that
will help with his allergies.  He LOVES it.

Thank you for all the kind words  You're truly a lovely
bunch of people.   And I appreciate you all.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.

PP579~ Safari Huge Thanks, Hero Arts

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Hero Arts:  Safari Huge Thanks
Sometimes when I'm adding so many pictures of
the card it reminds me of the recipe blogs I visit,
where all I really want is the recipe and not all
the other stuff.  Can anyone relate to this?
Yet here I am rambling on and on about it,
and then I go ahead and do the same thing.
I'm blaming  it on the fact I can't decide on what
picture to choose.  So I include them all.  haha

Sometimes the simplest cards are the hardest to
make for me.  You can't even imagine all
the smudges I had on the first 3 attempts to make
this card.  I was started to get frustrated.
So I texted my hubby all my frustrations, he told me to take a
break, so that is what I did.  You know since
my eyes got damaged from covid, I sit with my
reading glasses on and about a foot away from my
card so I can see what I'm doing and I think it will
just taking some getting use too.  Still praying
they are restored completely, and my since of smell too.
My sponging technique is something horrible,
but I keep trying.  I even washed all my little
sponges and daubers today.  I think I will
save for those nice handled blenders.  That
might make it easier.
I haven't played with this set for awhile.
After I was all done I remembered I didn't put
a foundation line down.  Well folks, I just left it
very plain.  We can imagine it is there.  😉

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.

#TGIFC356 A sale a bration Christmas card

I was inspired by the Sale a bration catalog to make
this tropical Christmas card.   I wanted to step off
the beaten path and make something a little different
while using many of the saleabration stamps/dsp, and a
few older stamps sets too.
I will submit it to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are all
Stampin Up:
Catching Butterflies
Timeless Tropical
So Santa
Friendly Hello
White Christmas
Driving By
Farmhouse Christmas
Let's start on page 3 the island vibes stamp set had
me thinking something tropical.  On page 6 & 7 it
carried on when I saw the palm trees on one of the
cards.  So knew I'd be adding palm trees.
I really like how the VW van was colored leaving part
of it white in front, so authentic so I did the same.   From
the "catching butterflies" I used the little squiggle mark
as tire tracks under the van.
On page 8&9 I was inspired by all the bright
bold colors so I added some yellow to my card.
On page 10 the marble DSP made me think of ocean
and hence I added a surfboard to the side.
On page 12 I used the DSP as background and also
paper pieced the surfboard.   I  used the
little pebbles in that set to create my sandy beach look.
Did you notice the Christmas lights on the VW van?
Guess who is back in a donut and not happy?
It's one thing after another here between the
dog and myself this has been a rough start
to the year.

I found this so encouraging so
I saved it to my phone and wanted to share it
with you all.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.

FMS523~ Friends are like seashells. Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Friends are like seashells
I embossed the bigger white card stock,
then layered the smaller ones.  Of course after
coloring the sand dollars they all looked like cookies
too me.  Perhaps because I was hungry or perhaps
because of the color I chose.
Does anyone have good advice on embellishment
placement?  I struggle with this.  I usually put down
and odd number which I heard is the best option,
and then I end up rearranging them all over,
just enough to cause a bit of adhesive to always
get stuck where it shouldn't be.  Oh the joy.
Perhaps my sentiment
should have been more horizontal instead of
vertical to match the sketch, so in came
the wonderful twine.
Today marks 5 weeks since I came down
with the fevers and flu from covid.
Recovery is taking a lot longer then I expected.
I have days where I wonder if it will
ever be ok again?

My eyes are still giving me much trouble,
and the smell comes and goes,  it usually
has to be right under my nose to smell
anything.  Which is so odd.  I had a nose like
a bloodhound before all this.
Same with my eyes, my ma use to say
I had eagle eyes.  Well folks sad
to say that has all changed since this
terrible covid.  With all that being said,
I'm so grateful to be alive, and Thank Jesus
that it didn't hit us any harder.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
