SSC218 GOT CIRCLES?~Making Christmas Bright, Snowman Season, Nothing Sweeter, Stampin Up

Happy Thanksgiving🦃.  Today I will be spending the rest of my day in the kitchen.  I plan on making the pie, apple crisp, fudge and candy today.  Then tomorrow the meal, and it looks like we might be packing it up to having Thanksgiving down by our son, and our daughter and son in law will be coming too.   I hope it will be nice driving weather, today it's snowing and blowing here.  I'll share a picture at the bottom.

I will submit my card to the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Making Christmas Bright
Stampin Up:  Snowman Season
Stampin Up:  Nothing Sweeter

Do you ever get the feeling your hobby is too expensive?   I do, and today as I think about all the stamp sets I have (which is not that many)  I'm feeling very grateful.  For in this hobby I've found a way to escape the constant pain and frustration of what is now my life.  Of course I'm always holding on to hope that I will have a job again,  because I'm not much of a sales lady for stampin up,  And I'd truly like to be able to help my sweet hubby with our bills.  Mostly medical.   But at this time of year I'm thankful for my stamps and this blog, and the ability to share with others,  I'm even thankful for my Etsy store
But my family, and friends,  that is what I'm so very thankful for💝

I hope you have a Blessed Thanksgiving Day.  May God bless you and your family.

TMS #530 ~ Farmhouse Christmas, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:

The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Farmhouse Christmas

I really like how this card came together.  I didn't think I'd use the little truck at first, but then I realized I cut that upper strip so wide it needed a little something so the addition of the truck was perfect.

I'm also including a picture of our little buddy, HP.  He has a sore paw and is not happy to have it wrapped up.  Even though he's not in a playful mood, he's still guarding his ball.  Notice it's under his paw.

I am having a black Friday sale in my Etsy shop all week.  I hope you will stop by and check it out.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

PP468~Signs of Santa, #Elfie, Stampin up

Oh boy this card turned out so cute😊 especially since when I took the picture with my camera the light hit those snowflakes and made them sparkle.

I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Signs Of Santa
Stampin Up: #Elfie

I added a bit of the puff paint to the North Pole sign, and the little caps on the Elves.   I think it turned out nicely.
I really love that sentiment on the inside. I will be using that on a lot of my Christmas cards this year.

I'm also including a picture of the calendar cards I made for my Etsy shop.   They turned out really nice this year.    Next week I will be having a black Friday Sale.  I'm hoping I will be able to sell a few items.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Sketch #343~Perfectly Plaid, Holly Berry Happiness, Wishing You Well, Stampin Up

Goodness gracious, this little card was being difficult, as far as picture taking goes.   It reminded me of parents trying to get their little ones to pose for the perfect Christmas picture and it just won't happen.  Those are the most precious pictures, however, when you're trying to take a nice picture of the card you made for a challenge and it's not cooperating.. UGH!!  I don't know if it was the gold glimmer that threw off the lighting but nevertheless, I eventually settled for this one.

I will submit it to the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Perfectly Plaid
Stampin Up:  Holly Berry Happiness
Stampin Up:  Wishing You Well

I moved the bow to the bottom of the tree, because quite frankly it was too huge for the wreath on the side, and perhaps if I hadn't already glued down the tree I could have shared the space a little better.  Oh well.  It's finished now.

I'm also adding a picture of the calendars I've been working on feverishly.  I wanted to get them done and put them in my shop, I plan on having an authentic Black Friday sale next week.  How official sounding.  I hope you will check it out.

Thank you for stopping by.

TMS #529 ~ #Elfie Stampin Up, Merry Christmas

Hello, Today I made a quick card for the challenge at:

I don't have any edging with scallops so I made a straight edge rectangle.
I love the candy cane DSP.
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  #Elfie

After stamping, coloring, I fussy cut him out.  I was going to add a touch more green to the card, but thought Elfie might not stand out as much.  So I stuck with red and white.   I added few little embellishments to finish off this card.

I'm also sharing a picture of my hand, wondering if anyone out there in the stamping community also has raynauds syndrome, and what they do to manage it?   I'd love helpful advice.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Sketch #342~ #Elfie, Stampin Up, Christmas

I have been so busy lately stamping cards, I felt a little overwhelmed.  YIKES❕  This is my hobby, it's suppose to be enjoyable.  However, I put pressure on myself to make a set of five cards for a make and take class.   My first one ever.  I suppose I decided to do this to help cover the cost of my hobby.  Well, folks, nobody is signing up, so looks like my box of cards will be heading to my Etsy shop.  I included a picture of the sweet little cards, which included an envelope and clear box.  I thought twenty five dollars was a reasonable price, especially since I'd be doing all the fussy work, but I suppose it's just not meant to be.  That's ok.  I will just go back to making them for the shop, and friends, with NO pressure 😉  I'm also including a picture of the Almo card I made.  I had a woman contact me on my card facebook page to request  an Almo card for a little girl who is waiting for a lung/heart transplant.   I couldn't say no.  I don't have an Almo stamp so I decided to just draw the fuzzy little character,  I hope it brings a smile to her face.   I haven't practiced sketching in a long time, and by the looks of him, I think I best stick to stamping.

Well now for the card today.  I will submit it to the challenge at:
Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  #Elfie

I love the sentiment in this set.  I used it on the inside on the card.  I added a bit of puff paint to the Elf hat trim and little hat topper.   I then used pearl paint to color in the white of the stocking.   The background is washi tape that I adhered to white paper then trimmed the edges to give it that banner look.  I really liked the "no peeking" tape until I realized every time I tried to align it just right it was saying something most undesirable for my card.    I just gave up and hope that most people won't notice it, especially if I don't bring it up.

CTS #347~Wonderful Year, Signs of Santa, Candy Cane Season, Stampin Up

I've been a busy stamper.  This is card number 3 for the blog today.   I love looking for challenges to play with.  It keeps the mind active and the hands busy.   This card will be submitted to the challenge at: CAS(E) This Sketch

I really should have taken a picture of all the tried and failed attempts to make those lines go in the correct direction. Finally I gave up and consoled myself with "it's an interpretation" of the design,  It doesn't have to be perfect.  So folks that is why we have this card you see before you.

The stamp sets featured in this card are:

Stampin Up:  Wonderful Year
Stampin Up:  Signs of Santa
Stampin Up: Candy Cane Season

FMS410~Sugar Peas, Christmas Moose

Card number two for today is this adorable moose one.  I love all things moose.  So this card was right up my alley.   I love the plank background with the snow flurries in the little square.  After stamping, coloring and die cutting out this lovely little fellow I began the adhesive process.  (doesn't that sound official?)  Actually it means sticky fingers and glue everywhere for me.   I like how the ribbon adds just the right amount of sparkle to this card.
I will submit the card to the challenge at:

TMS #528 ~ Snow Front, Making Christmas Bright Stampin Up

Well we woke up to SNOW and not just a dusting of it, almost 4 inches.  I added a couple pictures so you could see the world of white on our side yard. Oh boy it's pretty, but I'm a summer gal at heart, so It's a bit too soon for me.  However, it did help get me in the holiday spirit to make this lovely Christmas card.

I will be submitting it to the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Snow Front
Stampin Up:  Making Christmas Bright

It was a bit of a fussy card with all the cutting of the little pieces but I enjoyed it.  Plus I really like how it turned out.  Instead of the sequins I chose to use stamped images.  I ran out of clear wink of stella, drats.   My plan was to apply that heavily to the trees and then around the cabin so the snow glistened.  But oh well, I will have to add that to my shopping list of things to purchase now.
I really like the country Christmas feel this card has.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Remember to check out my Etsy shop for cards, projects, stamps, stamp sets, embossing folders and papers.  I have marked down many items.
