FIVE FABULOUS CARDS FOR A FRIEND

 ~Welcome~

Thank you for stopping by my blog.

I just wanted to pop over to my blog quickly and show case a few cards I have been working on for a friend.  I even impressed myself with the middle mountain card.  Gosh not to shabby, probably a bit crazy with the colorful clouds but it's a learning process.  Thank you to all who faithfully stop by my blog, and wish me well.  Sure do appreciate your supportive words.

SCS

 ~Welcome~
Thank you for stopping by my blog.

Today I made a card in effort to fulfill my SCS (Scripture Card Sunday)  I just purchased this lovely butterfly stamp this past week it was 1/2 off at the store.  I thought the image quite honestly would be nicer then it is, but I covered it up a bit using the die cut butterflies.

Without the flash the card takes on a whole new look.
It's liking getting two cards for the price of one.  Haha

Gosh I have been slacking on my blog lately.  I apologize.  Every since my 5 day fever, it just has been taking a while to get back into the swing of things.  BUT I have a lovely challenge from a friend to make a few cards for her.  So I will give it my best shot.
Here is picture of my corn plant garden.. I sometimes like to paint rocks and such.  and line my plant pots with them.

HUGS ~#GDP032

 ~Welcome~
Thank you for stopping by my blog.

Today I made a card for the  challenge at:
Global Design Project where we are to  case the designer.   I decided to copy the stripes on her card, and add the stamped images to the lower part, like she did with her example.

I used my brayer and a stencil to create the stripes.  The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn and I used the stampin' up dies for the banners.  The flowers I had made from a stampin up set ages ago.. while at a friends house and thought they worked lovely here on this card.

Today the side yard provided me a lovely opportunity to get a great picture of the junk yard cat. (another one). They like to scoot under the fence and visit our yard.  gosh this one is so pretty.

SCS & PPA296

 ~Welcome~
Thank you for stopping by my blog.

Today I made a card for my SBS~Scripture Card Sunday.  My way of staying focused and sharing verses.  I also would like to submit this card in the sketch challenge at: Pals Paper Arts  I used stampin up stamps for the images and chose to have a nice black background to make the colors pop.   I colored all the flowers with markers so  I thought it might get a bit busy to add more paper images, my solution add ribbon.  I paper pierced around the circle to give it some dimension/character.    Hope you like it.

I have the funniest picture to share with you today.  The side yard is coming alive with activity now.
Have you ever saw a squirrel flopped out like this before

We have quite a few of these little guys running around.  They always manage to entertain myself and HP (my dog)

Even got a picture of the baby bunnies.. now bless their hearts they are cute, but gosh they do damage to the yard/trees/garden.

I thought I'd end with a beautiful picture of my sweet HP.  He is such a gentle dog, a real pal.  Especially since I'm a bit house bound now.   Anyways he's in the playpen here.  It's an 8x8 deck that we refer to as his playpen.

MY FRIENDS INSPIRE ME

 ~Welcome~
Thank you for stopping by my blog.
☺And a BIG Thank you to my new followers☺

Today I'm going to post a few pictures of the beautiful cards my friends have sent to encourage and inspire me.
Gosh I'm so blessed to have these amazing people in my life.

Darla
Julie

These two special woman have such talent.  I wanted to showcase their cards they have sent me.  I love them.

They have also added to my little collection in the above picture.  Thought I'd show you how I display them by my stamp desk to give me inspiration.

Another reason I'm sharing their delightful cards today, is because my creativity must have blown away in the heavy breezes we had yesterday.. my goodness I tried and tried to make a nice card and I ended up with this awful smudge of a card, but nevertheless I wanted to share it with ya.. just to be a bit transparent in my creative blog.  Not every day is golden, but not every day is dull either.
I also came across some odd shape envelopes. (has that ever happened to ya?)  so I thought perhaps I should make a Christmas post card to match the size of the envelopes..
and this my blog buddies is what I came up with.

Well no blog of mine is complete without some side yard picture.  So here is the little feather friend of the day.

THE LATTICE GARDEN

 ~Welcome~
Thank you for stopping by my blog.

Today I got a chance to use my lattice die.  I thought very fitting to match it up with a garden stamp set.   I do believe I stamped the butterflies upside down. I'm thinking of it as creative art. *smiles* Otherwise it turned out lovely green and springy.

This little fella is getting awful friendly.. he just sits on the deck railing watching and snacking.

I love how his little paws look on this particular photo.

Good thing we have two cobs of corn so they don't have to fight over it.

Lastly the train yard.  the view from my house.

SBS~Scripture Card Sunday

Welcome to my blog. Thank you for stopping by
and for signing up to become a follower.

Today is SCS~Scripture Card Sunday.  It's a way for me to keep my focus on what is important and to share with others.  I have made a rather simple card again, I think it's becoming my new practice.  I wish I knew more technique but over time hopefully it will come about.  I am so not the stamper I use to be, so it's a work in progress.

I can't believe what a flash did with this card.  Check out this amazing picture of it.
Wish it was as spectacular looking as the picture portrays it to be.

This tree is in the front yard. Right next to the window where I do my stamping/reading.. love the cute little icicles.  It will usually have a bird nest come spring. ( whenever that decides to show up here)
       Please stop back again soon.
I invite you to check out the other cards I've made.

FABULOUS CARD AND PICTURES

Welcome to my blog. Thank you for stopping by
Today I got my inspiration from a fellow blogger.  Please check out her marvelous card design at: Nanny's Pansy Patch
I had to mix it up a little bit. I don't have an oval die or punch.. so I used circles.  I think it turned out swell.  What a great concept to use the stampin up set for a peak a boo background.  I of course had to add a few of the sequins to make it a little sparkly.
Here is another picture with the flash on.  I finally figured how to turn it on.. at least for now again. →

I thought I would share a few pics of the side yard.  I think I made eye contact with the robin.

The little squirrel was sitting on his favorite twig which is only about 8 inches long and dead..but he so enjoys it there.

I finally got a picture of the junk yard cat.  There are quite a few (at times)  but this sly little cat quickly slid under the fence so I couldn't snap more pictures.  Lastly, right when we think it's spring we wake up to 3 more inches of snow.  *heavy sigh.  Hope you all enjoyed the pictures, oh and the card.  Please don't forget to stop by my friend's blog for more inspiration.  Thank you.

LET'S GO SHOPPING #GDP030

Welcome to my blog. Thank you for stopping by and for becoming a follower.
Today I had a difficult time with my Christmas camera.  My goodness I don't know if it's the camera or the operator, but it just wouldn't zoom properly or let me use the flash..*sigh  So I did the best cropping I could with the few pictures I was able to snap..  I would like to enter this card in the sketch challenge at: Global Design Project  I used the brick embossing folder and cupcake image both from stampin up.  and the little line of shops is a stamp from a store in town.  I think someday (maybe) I will try to invest in some nice markers, because I used my watercolor pencils and the aqua brush and it was a bit difficult.  My hands are way to shaky.

Here is another picture of the image.

I also wanted to share a picture of the beautiful orchid my son and his girlfriend got me for my birthday.  I am truly blessed with awesome kids.  I posted a picture of the flowers my daughter sent me on Sunday.

SCS~SCRIPTURE CARD SUNDAY

Welcome to my blog. Thank you for stopping by.

Hello, I am so glad you are here.  Today's card is a reflection of my SCS (Scripture Card Sunday)  I find it a good way to stay focused.
This card was simple enough but I just couldn't stop adding sequins.

I want to thank you all for the sweet comments you have been leaving for me.  Gosh that is swell.  I'm sorry for not replying as well as I had intended.  I kind of get overwhelmed and I am still trying to figure out an easy way to reply. Also I want to say a big Thank you to all my new followers..

I have a few pictures I would like to share with you all.  It is my 45th birthday today.  Feeling blessed God has give me this first 45 years .. looking forward to what is coming next.  Hoping for healing so I can walk again with ease.
These lovely flowers are from my daughter and her boyfriend.  My favorite flower is a daisy and these are just gorgeous.  They came in a cute little yellow smiley mug.   I miss her so much, but feeling so loved
This is the chocolate turtle cake I made, it is loaded with caramels and chocolate chips.  My husband is not a fan of pecans so we used walnuts.. still very yummy.

Well my blog wouldn't be complete with out posting a few pictures from the side yard.

Thank you for sharing in this day with me.

Please stop back again soon.
