Sketch 474~Game on, Sweetly Swirled, Stampin Up

You know what is so funny about this card, is the
fact that the three panels I stamped all line up
pretty closely and I didn't even try.  I wanted them
to be a little misplaced looking but oh no, they
look as though I had one giant stamp and just
cut the pieces of card stock after I stamped them.
It's little things like this that just amaze me.
Then there was great debate in my mind,
if I should use a pop of color with the playing cards.
Well, after stamping them in black and blue, I
finally chose red.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Game on, and Sweetly Swirled
My parents  and grandparents use to always play dice
when I  was a kid.  I never learned how.
But card games, that we all played,
everything like, solitaire, speed, spoons,
crazy eights, go fish, canasta, gin rummy etc.
I think speed is my absolute favorite,
and then solitaire for solo playing.
I thought this was such a cute picture of
my darling talking to HP
I think they are telling secrets.  Haha
My columbines are blooming.  They
are so detailed looking.  Love it.
I took this picture last night.  My sweetheart
and I were driving home and the sunset was
glorious, and it was so beautiful with the flag.
How absolutely fitting for Memorial weekend.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
And also,  for my dog, HP.

HSSSC389~On the horizon, borders to backgrounds, blended seasons, Stampin up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  On the Horizon,
Borders to backgrounds, and Blended Seasons.
At first I left everything plain, and then realized
the card needed something extra.  The floral
image just seemed so bold for a basic card.
So I created backgrounds, like the wood paneling with
the gray, and then the splattered look on the sides.
I also cut the floral image apart so I could carry
one little flower to the inside.
I added some ribbon underneath the flowers
on the front to give it some texture, and then
I used a brad pierced through a sequin to poke
in the flower centers to hold them on the ribbon.
I fussy cut out the sentiment, and then popped
it up with some dimensionals.
I made donuts for the family this evening.
and my daughter took this cute picture and
added the captions.

I started two new Rx's yesterday, and my
goodness it has not been a pleasant
experience.  I was so hoping it would
immediately help me feel better, but
yet again, like all other meds, I'm the
exception to the rule.  sigh.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
And also,  for my dog, HP.

Sketch #473~Thoughful Blooms, and Hope Box, Stampin Up

I decided to make one more card for the
challenge at:
This time I made it a standard A2 card size
and not the square as shown in the sketch.
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Thoughtful Blooms &  Paper pumpkin
Hope box stamp set.
This is way different then my previous card.
But I just needed to make another card to de-stress.
So I chose to use the standard A2 size.
And I went all floral with this card.  So funny because
this is a stamp set I have seriously thought about
selling.   It has a cute little punch with it.
and yet here I am using it again.
Then once I started stamping those little
swirly leaves, I just kept adding more and more.
That marbled DSP is spectacular with his card.
Apparently I do not have permission to leave
my craft room.  Look at how his paw is up
on the door frame and he is not moving.
Please forgive my paper trail.  Between
my socks and his paws we track my paper
clippings all over the house.  Also, you might
have noticed our door jam is still not finished.
All in good time dear friends.  We will get it
accomplished some day.  At least that is what I
tell myself.
I absolutely love how this pine tree looks.
So I got up close and took a picture of it's
droopiness.  So green and fresh looking.
Now a few months back someone recommended
this book for me.  I purchased one for my
daughter for Christmas and myself.  Folks, I just
finished it.  What a delightful read.  Especially
after reading a book about Marie Antoinette, that
read like a text book.    So this book was a
refreshing, enjoyable read, that kept
me captivated.  So thank you to the person
who recommended it to me.  It was fabulous.
It was actually easier on my eyes too.  So that
was another bonus, since the eyes are  not
doing so well yet.

God willing the doctor don't cancel tomorrow
and we get some answers and help.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
And also,  for my dog, HP.

#FMS536~Sweet Strawberry, Textures & Frames, Dragonfly garden, stampin up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamps sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:
Sweet Strawberry
Textures & Frames
Dragofly Garden
I really was "winging" this card.  I had no
idea in the direction I planned on going.  I
just wanted to stamp a card today to relax.
I added clear wink of stella to the dragonflies
to give them a bit of sparkle.
I then had to add those three embellishments,
because of an ink smudge.  Sigh.
Am I the only one that gets inky fingers?
I thought I'd share a few pictures of the
apple blossoms.
I'm so excited about this tree, because I
thought perhaps we had got a dud.  It just
wouldn't do anything for years, and then the last
couple of years we actually had apples.
I'm hoping with my little garden of sunflowers,
it will keep encouraging the bees to do their work.

HP was at attention in this picture below,   He has
selective hearing and he was tuned into what was
going on in the other room.  Such a rascal.  But
thankful he is holding his own and still with us.
Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
And also,  for my dog, HP.

Sketch #473~Seas the Day, Stampin Up

Hello dear friends.  I think Atlantic Hearts is
my favorite blog to play along with.  You all
have such amazing hearts and I feel like we are true
friends.  I play along with other challenges, but
it's just not the same.
In fact some don't even leave comments.  Not that
it is necessary but it sure is nice.   It's my
connection to the outside world.  Any ways.
I just really appreciate you designers.
When I made this card I couldn't figure out why it didn't
look so nicely.  For the life of me I just couldn't put
it together, and then like a lightbulb turning on, I realized
I didn't mat anything.  No little borders around any of it
so I quickly did some sponging around the white card
stock to give it a little depth.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Seas the Day
I always think the fish need to be bright cheery colors.
That is what I'd imagine if I ever were to go
under the sea.  Perhaps I've watched to much Finding Nemo
with my kids when they were growing up.
I love those embellishments.  They remind me of bubbles.
Square cards are like slimline cards to me. Just fun to
make and a little something out of the ordinary.
I can only imagine what they will cost now.  Since
I heard the prices of stamps are going up again.
I guess I closed my etsy shop just in time.  I couldn't
afford to ship things anymore.
HP wanted to play ball.  The little darling is not well
and yet he still wants to play, and look he's sharing,
he even dropped the ball on my arm and smiled.
What a sweetheart.

Folks, ya wanna know what happened today?
I just got done praying about my doctor appointment
for tomorrow, when not even 10 minutes later the
phone rings and the clinic calls to cancel tomorrow
and reschedule.  Let's just say I was quite upset
my husband even took off tomorrow to go with me.
We now have it rescheduled for Monday.
Hubby was able to take off that day instead so
it worked out.  I just have to remind myself to be
grateful, perhaps the LORD is saving us from something
we know nothing about.  At least that's what I'm telling
myself to comfort my hopeless feeling anxiety filled heart right now.

HP was very playful today, it is so encouraging to see.
Each day is a blessing.  Love that ball balancing act he does.
Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.

Challenge #469~Sweet Icecream Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
Stampin Up:  Sweet Ice Cream
I love how this card turned out   I seriously just
made it so quickly I shocked myself.
Sometimes that happens.  Other days I can
sit there cruising pinterest and challenges
for inspiration and still come up with nothing.
Does that ever happen to you?
That sparkle ribbon on the side is fabulous.
 I'm thinking I must tell
hubby dear we need icecream after our supper
this evening.
Here is a picture of the moon this morning at
4:30am.   Last night my son texted me around
11pm to ask if I was looking at the moon, to which
I jumped out of bed to get the picture below.
It was so cool.  I'm glad our family appreciates things
like this.  Just makes my heart happy.
Below is a picture of HP, he watches
the traffic out front.  He rests his little
head on the window sill, while I do my
Bible Study.
Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
And also,  for my dog, HP.
