Card #89 & #90 for 2025

Dear blog readers, I will enter this card in the challenge at:
So I set the stop watch on my phone and started stamping.
I finally made a quick card under 30 minutes.  I  also added
the other card I made and it's time in this post just for fun. I thought the
fireplace would be so much quicker,
well my mistake, I started coloring in the details,
and then the cutting of each item so it went over in time.
Immediately disqualified that one for myself, but I did
manage to make the cute surfing Santa, even if I think
him shirtless is inappropriate, I feel like Santa should have
a red and white wet suit.  wink
The stamp set I used in this card is:
Stampin Up: So Santa
The palm trees were already die cut pieces I had on hand, I actually
added one more to the inside of the card later, because I had an extra.
Below is the time it took to make the Surfing Santa card.

This card took much longer.  I don't know why I
thought it would go faster, I guess just because the images
are bigger.
The stamp sets in this card are:
Stampin Up:
Festive fireplace
Snowman season
Below is the time it took to make this card.
Below I made a small bottle of lemonade.
I can have a little with my ileostomy so I was
happy to hear that.  I miss drinking lemonade.
It was a celebratory drink because my doctor
appointment today went much better than I had
hoped for, and it's all Glory to God.
I have one more not fun procedure I have to go through
and if it comes back normal and good, then I have
the next surgery.  God willing no injuries or complications
during this surgery.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Luke 24:45 KJV
Then opened he their understanding,
that they might understand the scriptures,

Card #88 for 2025

Dear blog readers I will enter this card in the
challenge at:
The stamp sets used in this card are:
Stampin Up:
Jar of Joy
Snowman season
Everyday Arches dies

I stamped the snow jar down and colored in
the snowman, but unfortunately I used puffy paint
and then decided to add liquid accents to give it
a real authentic jar look.  Well it ruined the first image
so I used pearl accent paint and glossy accents, it was
a wee bit better but still not good.  Finally I just kept it simple
and that is the final card.  Just ink and coloring. Sometimes that
is all that is needed. I use to collect snow globes so I fell in love
with this little jar set because it reminds me of those beautiful
snow globes.  I still have about 10 or so.  They make me so happy.
Little snowy worlds of wonder.
Patriot pup is quite a handful as usual, I just was petting
his little noggin' and he has the concerned look because I messed
up his hair.  Such a little rascal.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Mark 5:34 KJV
And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole;
go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Card #87 for 2025

Dear blog readers I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamp sets are:
Stampin Up:  Gnome for the Holidays
Everyday arches dies

I used some lovely wintery DSP for the background
and then stamped and colored the images.  The inside Gnome
cracks me up with the Christmas tree hat. Seems like
a very happy little gnome home in the snowy forest.
Patriot pup is always up to something.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Matthew 9:35 KJV
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues,
and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness
and every disease among the people.

Card #86 for 2025

Dear blog readers, I will enter
this card in the challenge at:
U for uncluttered and V for vertical
The stamps I used in this card are:
Papertrey ink: storybook Christmas
Simon Says: Joy to the world

Its a little time consuming stamping the books,
because I was having diffiuculty lining up what
images go together, and then they are all die cut
so up and down to the table to do that, and believe
me it's a little painful to get up and down yet.
So I just made a lot more work for myself.  But in the
end I'm happy with it.  I choose to go vertical again with this card~
it is a smaller version of the traditional slim line cards.
It measures 6¾ x 6 ¼

Here's a picture of Patriot pup trying to behave in the
stamp room today.
He likes to carry toys around with him for
a sense of security.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Exodus 15:26 KJV
And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God,
and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments,
and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee,
which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

Card #85 for 2025

Dear blog readers, it's time!  Yay, I'm going to
start full time Christmas cards ( God willing)
My most favorite of all cards to make.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
'U is for Uncluttered (CAS)'
&
'V is for Vertical'
I chose vertical, and the stamp set I used is
Woodware craft collection: Peaceful night
I looked online for some inspiration, I thought
perhaps coloring each building might make it look
a tad busy so I liked this idea of just coloring the domes.
I tell you I just changed my paper cutting blade and it must
be a dud, because it's already fraying the edges to my paper.
Has that ever happened to you?  straight out of the package it's not good.
I also added some clear wink of stella to all the swirls, but it didn't show
up on the picture.  But it's there.

Here is a picture I took while coming home from the doctor,
the colors are changing so lovely, but the rain has started so I'm thinking they won't
stay too much longer on the trees, winter is making it's way to WI.  I must say
our weather has been very mild for us this year.

The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 30:2 KJV
Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

Card #84 for 2025

Dear blog readers I will enter this card
in the challenge at:
The stamps I used in this card are:
Stampin up:  Over the river
Amber autumn
Stampabilities: Happy Thanksgiving
This is my 14th Thanksgiving card so I'm going
to wrap it up with this one.  I will now try to
start my Christmas cards. ( God willing) I'm most
exciting for Christmas cards, but I must admit I've
really enjoyed making the thanksgiving cards this year.
I plan on sending them out with a little note of gratitude.
Patriot pup loves his Rhino Dino, he wanted
to take it outside with him for a bathroom break,
but I said no indoor toys go outside. I don't think
he appreciated that.
I made my husband this skillet cookie
the other day, and by golly it was a hit.
and super easy to make.
After a nice game of hide and seek the
pup is pooped out and I am exhausted too.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 17:6 KJV
I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God:
incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.

The stamp sets I used in this card are:

Hello friend
Stampabilities:
Happy Thanksgiving

I stamped the wreath for the circle in the sketch
and chose autumn colors for it and the cute little pilgrim turkey.
Patriot pup was enjoying some deck time watching
the squirrels in the yard.
Here's the big beauty.  A black walnut tree
that makes a huge mess and kills everything
around it because of the poison juglone, but
we love her and are quite fond of the ole gal.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 103:2-3 KJV
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Card #81 for 2025

Dear blog readers,
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamps I used in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Over the river
Thanks be for thee

My favorite thing about autumn/fall would be
the leaves changing colors, and thanksgiving.
When my darlings where little we use to walk to
school together and when the wind would blow
we would try to catch the falling leaves, it's absolutely
a joy and so exhilarating when you finally catch one.  They
are grown now and we still all do this.  I love it as do they.
The other thing I love is the inside sentiment of this card,
the song, "over the river and through the woods"  just something
cozy and sweet about this song, brings back a lot of
childhood memories for me.
Patriot pup with his new favorite toy: Rhino Dino
The verse I chose for this card is:
Mark 11:24 KJV
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire,
when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Card #80 for 2025

Dear blog readers, I'm just not in a happy
mood today, I had my 6 week check up and it
didn't go well at all.  I will post the details at the bottom
for those who care.
Onto the turkey card.  I will enter it in the challenge at:
The stamps I used in this card are:
Lawn Fawn: Turkey Day
Stampin up:  Over the river
and a sizzix die for the front.
The sentiment on the front of the card was a bit
tricky, it was a stacked sentiment, but I wanted it
to be horizontal for this card so it required a little
patience and effort masking the words and trying
to make sure they lined up.  After a few attempts
it finally worked.  Coloring in the little turkey
was my favorite part, it was rather relaxing.
Here's a picture of Patriot pup.  Sometimes
he can be the sweetest little fella.
Some one left lovely messages
on the side walk out front of the
hospital waiting room windows.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Mark 9:24 KJV
And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears,
Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

Update: I had my 6 week appointment after having my stents out of the ureter tube
and sadly it's not going well, that ureter tube is not emptying, and the kidney is enlarged and I now have stones again too.  Drawing my blood was a disaster and the tears fell like a flood, my body is so broken from all that has happened.  It took 2 jabs to the arm, much digging and my hand went numb,
then they had to dig around for a vein in my hand to use finally the the second poke in the hand and searching they were able to prick a vein with the butterfly needle and a small drip.  I'm exhausted.  Please continue to pray for healing if it's God's will to make me whole again.  I'm so heartbroken by this all, it just means the surgery for the ileostomy will now be postponed until we can figure out what to do with my swollen kidney and not working ureter tube, something that is entirely their fault because of the surgery, this shouldn't have been a thing to recovery from, but here we are, and God willing it will be restored by His mighty hand.  Because of who He is and what He can do I trust He will bring me safely through.  Counting it all Joy knowing I can trust Jesus. ✟
