Sweet Squirrel Box

Oh my goodness, check out this darling little box.  I used a die cut from lawn fawn.  In fact even the little squirrel stamp and sentiment are all from Lawn Fawn.  This was so much fun to make and I had every intention of giving it to my son, filled with treats.  It also can hold a gift card nicely too.  However, it fell on the floor where I was working and my sweet little HP decided he should play with it. So before I could rescue it from his chops it was a bit ruined.

* insert sad face.   Guess I will make another one.  To bad I don't have anymore of that cute bright green and white polka dot paper. Drats!     I see a bunch of these in my future for Halloween treat giving.    What would you put in this cute little box?

I thought I'd share a picture of my HP.  He is intently watching for squirrels in the yard.

Thank you for stopping by.

Mason Jar Christmas

Christmas is in the air, or should I say Christmas in a jar.   Both the mason jar and sentiment I ordered online.  I like how this card turned out. I used the bow builder punch from stampin up and added a few little pearls to "spruce" it all up.   I think the sentiment is lovely and will work so well with the new bell punch in the stampin up Holiday catalog, that's one I for sure want to order.  I'm so excited about it.   Anyways I had to do a lot of inking  directly on this stamp to make sure the carrot nose and buttons all had different colors.  I also used a hat from a different snowman and then cut it out and pasted it on this little guy.
Hope you liked this card.

SCS

~Welcome~

It's that time of the week again my friends.  SBS (Scripture card Sunday)  As you can see I didn't choose a verse stamp, but I thought this was nevertheless appropriate for today's selection.
I have been busy at home lately, my kiddos have been keeping me hopping.   Our daughter has moved out with her boyfriend, and now we have our son's girlfriend living with us for a while.  I am thankful the kids have a place to stay with us, even though we have a tiny old home.  Any ways, Xavier's girlfriend  Sarat. asked me to help her make a card for her mom.  Such a lovely honor to help her, this was her first card, and it is beautiful.   I made a template, of the card she would use as an example, and then we sat at the desk together.  I have a super old wooden teacher desk and the sides pull out so I truly did feel like a teacher with a student.

I'm so proud of how well her card turned out.  She's a great stamper.  Here's her card.  When it's folded it measures 4x4 and then opens up to 8x8.

I also wanted to add a few pictures of the activity on the deck and side yard.  The Green dragon fly was huge, as was chippy's full mouth as he was packing in the corn.  The birds were taking turns at the feeders, and fence.

Lastly one of the blooms from the yard
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Hope you have a spectacular Sunday.

Four Cards For Friends

~Welcome~
I find that when I'm stressed or hurting I stamp.. and golly gee I turned out four cards yesterday.. so as you can just imagine I was feeling a bit overwhelmed,  and it was also raining here.  SO when you must stay indoors you might as well make good use of your time.  I can't see my desk top anymore, but it was well worth it.  I decided to play with a few older stamp sets and see what I could come up with.
Which card do you like best?

Thank you so much for stopping by.

#GDP050 ~Home Sweet Home

~WELCOME~
Today I made a card for the sketch challenge at:
My plan got a little sidetracked along the way.  I just felt like my card needed a little something in the lower right hand corner, hence the owl behind the log.  I'm still trying to master that sponging technique on embossed paper.   The teepee tent is Home sweet Home from Avery Elle.  and the owl is  Critter in the Forest from Lawn Fawn.  I used stampin up inks.  I also used liquid pearls from ranger  to enhance the tent lines and the owl beak.   Ohh.. and my favorite part: the googly eyes.  They just bring the little fella to life☺

I thought a picture with the flash would be nice to share too.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

I thought I'd share another picture from my recent visit to the zoo.

SCS

~Welcome~
It's SCS (Scripture Card Sunday)
Today I used a much older stampin up stamp set, that still looks great.  I stuck with my cherry cobbler color ink pad.  The lovely butterfly die, and of course the scripture stamp is from a few years back, and I have no clue what the company name is.  *insert sad face.  I also used an embossing folder for the background.
My son and his girlfriend rolled in this morning bright and early and now they will be staying here awhile.   It just amazes me how life unfolds.  It's all so exciting.  Like a Christmas present on Christmas morning.
I like how the one bird is coming in for a landing at the feeder.

Cherry Cobbler Color

 ~Welcome~
Today I chose to work with the stampin up ink pad Cherry cobbler.   I have the older pad yet, and I tried to re-ink it with the refill bottle, but it's just not the same,  the image is a bit blotchy.  I suppose back to youtube for me to figure out what I did wrong.   I Love Christmas time, so my first card today has that for the theme.  I probably could have added some glitter to the tree tops for sparkle, I suppose next time.
My second card is a Valentine.  I used all stampin up supplies for that too, even the embossing folder.  I should mention none of the paper I ever use is from stampin Up.  Someday eventually I will budget that in my order.
I sure do THANK YOU for taking time to stop by and read my blog.  If you would like my facebook page at: Pj's Projects That would be wonderful.
Here's a little video of the birds at the feeder and deck this afternoon.  Hope you enjoy.

CATCH UP CARD DAY and PICTURES FROM THE ZOO

Welcome~Thank you for stopping by.
I have so much to say and so many little card creations to share.  Where do I begin?   I suppose first up should be the one I posted on my facebook page.   This card I used a mix of Stampin up stamps and Lawn Fawn.  I did the embossing first with clear powder and then after the image was heat set, I sponged around it, when I got the desired look I wiped off the flowers that were embossed and they stayed white.  It was the first time with this technique for me, and I really like how it turned out.  I made this card for my mom who had to have her toe amputated last Thursday, due to Kidney failure and diabetes.  Please pray for a speedy complete healing for her.  Thank you.  I also made for my mom this next little project which happens to be one of her favorite verses.  I was suppose to post it on Sunday for my SCS (Scripture Card Sunday)  but I had a full house, which was a beautiful blessing.  Our son and his girlfriend came home to help move our daughter and her boyfriend. It was a day filled with laughs, love, and memories.  So onto the project here it is the kleenex box card.
I think it turned out super.  I used stampin up stamps  and inks for the background I then put the verse right on top.
This little card holds the personal sized kleenex well.  However I get the cheap dollar store kleenex brand and they open up on the ends so I just added one tissue to the top to make it look like it pops up.
I see a few of these in the future when winter rolls around (ugh, not a fan of winter)  I can pass kleenex out in style.

Even with my husband on vacation this past week, I was able to make a few cards/projects.  We had a "stay-cation"  there is so much to do around our old house and being I can't help as much his honey do list was long.  I had my hands full just trying to keep dinner and supper on the table for the crew of kiddos, but it was wonderful.  I wish I would have taken a picture of the chocolate/caramel pie I made.  It actually turned out and was delicious.
This purple flower card just came together so easily, using the stamping up products through out the whole thing.  I really like the crisp clean lines.
My last card I used versa mark ink and didn't emboss with it.  I think it turned out amazing.  I'm just learning all the different inks and techniques.  I youtube things I don't understand and that helps me out.
One of the things on my hubby's  "honey do list"  was to take me to the zoo.  I haven't been since  my surgery and injections went bad.  I felt like I was strong enough to try it, even taking my trekking poles it was difficult, but it was worth it.  I feel like it was a mile stone in my recovery as to say that: this is  my life now and I can manage it ok.  I have a few pictures to share with you.  I hope you will like them. The zoo was just the right size for me to get around.  I even got to feed the sheep.  ( I'm a kid at heart)

Hope you enjoyed your visit here and that you will stop back again real soon.  Please also like my facebook page at:  Pj's Projects it will help me get the word out about my blog.
I also want to mention, I received a new badge for my blog.  Please check it out.  My heart is so happy and so grateful for being picked.

Thank you to all

who support my efforts in stamping.

SCS

~Welcome~
Gosh, it amazes me how fast time is scooting by.  My daughter and her boyfriend have been with us for well over a month.  It is nice having the kiddos stay here, but they are in the search for their own apartment place now.  Kind of bittersweet, I've enjoyed having them right here, however they will be staying in town.  Our dog will miss all the action too.

Today for SCS (Scripture Card Sunday) I have this sweet little circle card layout.  I think it worked fabulously with the circle embossing folder.  The other card uses the Happy Birthday embossing folder, and I love how it turned out.  Very simple stamping with both of these cards, but that little window card just makes me happy, it looks so neat.

I was wondering if this font is hard for my blog viewers to read.  Please let me know in the comment section below.  I'm thinking about choosing a different one that is a bit bigger and bolder.

I've not had much time lately to capture any pictures of my side yard friends, been so busy keeping up with the kiddos here, and trying to make meals and such again.  It's good though for me.  I've also been trying to walk with my sticks more.  Praying that I will regain more and more strength and stamina in my legs.  The pain is awful, and after my walks I'm done for the day, but I'm remaining hopeful.  My cousin told me about a supplement that could help, so I've opted to try that for awhile.  I'm not a a fan of medication, hence the reason I don't take pain pills and such.  Probably sharing to much information.. but just wanted to be real with my blog followers and share a bit.   Any ways.  Looking forward to my hubby being home for a week of "staycation"  I think that is what people call it when they stay home for vacation.  haha.  I have a whole "honey to do" list for him.   I'm so excited because we might go to the zoo.  I haven't been there since this whole surgery and spinal injections went bad.  SO this is a mile stone for me.  I guess I can take my trekking poles with me so I'm happy.   Golly just think of the pictures I will be posting then
Have a Blessed day.

Saturday Stamping

 ~Welcome~
Today I have 2 cards.  The first is a wedding card for my cousin.  I came across a similar design on pinterest, but off course I put my own spin on things.  I used a stamp set from so Close to My heart, and the cake stand is a stampin up stamp, so are the flowers.  I used the the neat pearl paint to high light the edges of the cake and the embossing folder flowers.

This card used the window technique again.  I'm really a fan of these cards. They are super easy to make and I think they look amazing.  I can't wait to share with you the other window card.  I will post it tomorrow along with my SCS.

Hope you are having a fabulous weekend.

Happy Cards and Storage solution for Spice packets

Welcome~Thank you for stopping by my blog.
I  have a few projects for today.  The first is a happy card: a mason jar filled with the remarkable you stampin up  flowers.
The second card I used a bit of the glimmer paint to high light the keyhole and place a few random dots on the card.  I'm not the best at using background paper.  I really struggle with it, the placement and also how much should be shown, and also the coordinating of the colors.

The last post for today is my solution for my spice storage.  It seems I open the cupboard and my neatly stacked packets are everywhere so I found this very simple box technique on pinterest and there we have it!  All the little spices and packets contained in a nice little box.

Don't forget to like my facebook page at: Pj's Projects to help me get the word out about my blog.
Thank YOU
