POLKA DOTS Challenge #269 and PPA294

I wanted to put another post out today.  I came across a new blog with a unique challenge.  One that had me wanting to play along, especially since we all know I struggle with the less is more concept.   So I found a blog that encourages you to do just that.  Use the white space and make a clean and simple card. (or at least in my case try)  The challenge is  to use polka dots and is found at:  Less Is More Blog  I did a little layering and then found a polka dotted ribbon that worked lovely.  I tried to keep things to a minimum, but after stamping the flower and adding it to the card.  I though golly it needs a sentiment.. and of course something sparkly.   I'm a work in progress with this concept.  But it's fun. I also want to submit this card to the sketch challenge at: Pals Paper Arts it was such a fun sketch to work with, and so many options.   I think this is a lovely go to sketch for any card.

I made a card for the sketch challenge at: Mojo Monday Blog.  I used the stampin up embossing folder for the background.   My stamped images consist of using a coral stamp from the Michael's store and the ship and sentiment from stampin up.  I used a wavy die and some sequins to give it a bit of pizzazz.

(gosh that's a great word)

RAINBOW FLOWER POWER ~SSC123

Today I made a rainbow shaker card for the challenge at: Sunday Stamps Blog I used a stampin up set, and actually I'm a bit sad.  I haven't used it but twice, and I noticed in the medium size flower there is a bare spot on the image so it doesn't stamp, so disappointed.  I wonder if I should contact them to let them know.  The tiny flower covers it up on top, but it's a shame I won't be able to let the medium flower stand by itself ever.  Any ways I made the flowers in a shape of the rainbow and I used an older stamp  for the sentiment.   I just tapped it with inks to give it a colorful look.   I might have went a bit overboard on the sequins.  I don't seem to ever get that right.  I embossed the background and then made a little border with a punch.

4 COLORFUL CARDS~Which is your favorite?

Today I made 4 amazing cards.  I like the colors and the techniques. 

 The card with the butterfly in the upper right hand corner is from recycled paper that came with a package and I put washi tape behind it to give it some depth.  The rest are pretty simple straight forward.  A lot of stampin' up stamps were used for the images and of course some little bling bling to make it all sparkle.  Which card is your favorite?

SCS~SCRIPTURE CARD SUNDAY

Today's card I made for my SCS (Scripture card Sunday) post.  I used all scraps of papers and layered them.  Then I ran them through the big shot with a dot embossing folder.   I found a verse that was suitable for today, and added a little bling to make it sparkle.

My sweet husband blessed me with Easter flowers ~That was such a lovely surprise.  He went to the store for more medicine for me and came back with this bouquet.

 Hope you are all having a fabulous Friday.  I made a rather simple card today using a stampin up set.  I really like the vibrant colors.  I thought they worked well together.   I think my creativity might have gotten zapped with this cold bug.  Just don't feel up to par yet. 

We only got 5 inches of snow from all the big hype the weathermen were talking about, so not to shabby.  I took a few pictures from my window I thought you might like to see.

SPRING #GDP028

Today's card I will enter in the CASE the designer challenge at: Global Design Project.  I chose to use the layout and ribbon to inspire this card.   The stamp is from stampin up, and the little die cut butterfly is from a local store.  I felt the need to use bright colors today.  As the weatherman has forecast a blizzard warning for tonight and tomorrow. 

 I'm choosing to think spring, and I reflected that in the card today.  I also took another picture with the flash.→

The side yard is very quiet,  apparently the little critters are all snuggled up for the storm, but I did manage to capture a picture of one in the tree just about to leap onto the snowmobile junk yard building next door.

MOJO440 and Merry Monday #197 {Take me to Church!}

I'm so happy you decided to stop in by my blog ☺

Today's card I will be submitting for the challenges at: Merry Monday Christmas Blog and Mojo Monday Blog   I found the sketch to be quite a challenge, so I decided to give it my best shot. I did a bit more layering but I think it turned out lovely.  I used an older stampin up set.  It was the only set that had a church on it.  I'm still in disbelief that I have only 2 stamps with  churches on them.  The other one is quite small, and would not work for this layout, sounds like a good excuse to buy a few more church stamps ☺ 

I was unable to post a card yesterday I was a bit under the weather again but I  had the most wonderful surprise visit from my son and his girlfriend. Gosh that was grand.  I just hope they don't catch this cold.. it's day 11 for me.. ugh.. any ways no pictures to post of my side yard today, hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to share the adventures of the squirrels and birds again.

SCS~SCRIPTURE CARD SUNDAY

 So glad you stopped by☺

 I'm officially making Sunday's on my blog.  SCS~ Scripture card Sunday.  Which simply means just as it says,  I will be making a card for Sunday with a scripture verse or perhaps an inspiring  quote on it. 

I just can't decide where to take the picture for the best lighting so I posted both again of each card design. Perhaps you can let me know if you like the black or the white.  Decisions are sometimes difficult for me, and always over little details that most people don't even notice. 

My second card I just did a bit of layering but still the same simple concept.

I hope you are all having a happy Sunday, and staying well.

I might post a picture of my porch where I make my cards.  That is if I can ever keep the desk clean enough to snap a picture. haha

 Today I made a card for the sketch challenge at: Sunday Stamps Blog

I used an older stampin up set and cut the sentiment into four so I could paste it on top of the smiley washi tape.  I used buttons and candy dots, for the circle part of the sketch, along with the yellow smiley face to which I embellished with googly eyes.  They always make me smile.  

In fact when my kids were younger the little darlings put googly eyes on my plants.  Funniest thing ever.   

 I took a picture with the flash so you could see it's rather bright and cheery. →

I got a picture of this little guy making sure the coast was clear for coming on board.  (that's the corn board) on our deck. haha

4 CARDS AND A MIRACLE

 So glad you stopped by my blog.

Today I"m sharing with you the 4 cards I made the past couple days while trying to get over this fever.   The cards are all kind of simple with little stamping.  I think they turned out lovely.  

I also wanted to share something.  I try not to talk about it to much, first because it's difficult and second this is my happy place.    But I did mention that I've been dealing with this fever the past few days.. here's the thing.  the 5 days I had the fever, I never once had any leg pain, and I thought that God had healed me.  well, it all came back on Wednesday, apparently the fever broke. I still believe in miracles, and I still believe I could be healed.  I also think it was a small miracle because you see I don't sleep the whole night through.. I'm up a LOT.. because staying in one position is very painful, so it's a lot of tossing and turning, sitting out in the chair, back and forth nonsense.. any ways I do believe that while my body was fighting this fever.. it allowed my legs to "chill" out so I could actually rest.. so that's my miracle I wanted to share with you all ♥    I will keep on believing for complete healing but in the mean time I'm thankful for the break I had with no pain, even with a fever.   Ok.. now onto the squirrels.

Welcome and thank you for stopping by my blog.

I honestly don't know why I even thought these colors would work together.  I blame it on the spring "fever" I've had and the fact my head is still super congested, but nevertheless, I did keep going with these colors and when I was done with this little masterpiece, I say that with a laugh..haha.. I just sighed and thought to myself by golly if I didn't tip the design the wrong way. Ugh!!   Well folks, I'm still putting it in the sketch challenge at: Pals Paper Arts Blog  I used only three stamps the egg is from Michael's store, and the sentiment is a stampin' up product as is the background stamp I used for all the little dots.   I embellished the egg heavily thinking that would help. (it did not) but I decided to just leave it alone.

There you have it.  A very sparkly Easter card.
