Card #38 for 2025

Dearest blog readers,
I decided to try and walk our puppy today
with my husband.  Very big mistake, I'm
way to stubborn and wanted to hold the leash,
well now my back, shoulders, and ribs are sore. Very
foolish girl I was.  I know I have back problems.  I
was just too determined to do it.  He don't walk very
good at all on a leash.  He will be 8 months old and
I don't know how to calm him down.  I always just
wanted a pal to walk with, but nope these springers
are a handful of energy.
I was able to whip up this card today for the challenge
The new challenge is called One Is The Loneliest Number
 make a 1 layer card.
The stamp sets I used for this card are:
Stampin Up:
Pick a season
Teeny tiny wishes
The Inks:
Pecan pie
boho blue
Call me clover
Garden green
Granny Apple green
I stamped the tree and the trunk first,
then again on another piece of paper to use as a mask
so I could put in the clouds and the grass.  I used the
little clovers to fill in the tree for St. Patrick's day coming up.
Here is the little fella after my husband gave him
a bath and he had his nap.  All calm for 3 seconds.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Isaiah 44:4KJV
And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses.

Card #37 for 2025

Dearest Blog Readers,
What a day.  I spent the afternoon frustrated with a
post on FB and then arguing the cause.  What a waste
of time and energy.  No wonder I feel depleted.
So I turned to the one thing that always cheers me,
making Christmas cards.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamp set I used for this card is:
Stampin up: Sophisticated sled
I stamped the skates then got out the exacto knife
to do some trimming.  These are the days I wish I
had dies for images like this.  But the budget don't always
allow for added expenses, and the knife works fine.  I sponged
a little smoky slate ink behind the skates and then pop dotted them up.
I really love the DSP in the background, it's a snow village and I thought
perfect for ice skating.  I'm so happy with how this simple card turned out.
Patriot puppy was locked into a squirrel.  I couldn't get
his attention even with the word "treat"
I found this neat little coaster with hearts online,
and thought I'd give it a try, the first one with red
is more like a placemat, as you can see I'm not
good at coming up with my own pattern, but I try.
And I try again, and finally the little blue one will
be about the size I want.  Might try one more time
tomorrow, just have to give my hands and eyes a break
for now.  I used blue for the hearts to match the dinner plates.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Job 37:10KJV
By the breath of God frost is given: and the
breadth of the waters is straitened.

Card #36 for 2025

Dearest Blog Readers,
We had a warm up here today at 52 balmy degrees
in the freezing state of WI.
I'm so ready for summer.  As you can see by
my card.  I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamp sets used is:
Stampin Up:
Planted Paradise
MFT:
Let's Stick Together
The Inks:
Old Olive
Berry Burst
Granny Apple Green
I love plants, so this stamp set was a must
have for my collection.  In fact I realized I need
to be making more cards with plants.  Tis spring time.
"Planting" time.
It is a very simple card with stamped images that I
fussy cut out.  A bit of two step stamping for the
leaves and flower pot, and a circle punch for
the sentiment.
Below is a picture of one corner of my tiny
little home.  I suppose I'd have more room if
I didn't have so many plants.  wink. But
there are plants in nearly every little corner.
Here is today's picture of Patriot.  My little
7 month old helper.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Ezekiel 17:5KJV
He took also of the seed of the land, and planted it in a fruitful field;
he placed it by great waters, and set it as a willow tree.

Card #35 for 2025

Dearest Blog Readers,
Today my husband cleaned the kitchen up after dinner,
while I stamped a card.  It was delightful.  The new job
is very stressful with very long hours, but we are grateful
to at least have it, and also for a day off like today.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamp set I used for this card is:
Stampin Up:
Grow With Love
This is one of the stamp sets that I knew I'd want
for my collection.
Who can resist that cute little seed die. Oh my gosh
it's adorable, and all the more reason to keep
practicing seed harvesting.  I actually think it would
hold a gift card too.  I'll have to make sure on that one.
I kept the card very simple with minimal details.
Getting that sentiment to stamp straight was the challenge.
I love the little corner pocket I made for the seed packet.
It sits in there so nicely, which will be perfect when the
receiver opens the card so it don't fall out.
Below are a few pictures of our garden.  We are in our
5th year (I think) of trying our hand at having a veggie
garden, so much to learn yet.  but here are a few pictures.
We have to be careful because of the huge black walnut
trees in our yard, and plus I worry about the traffic and
train yard also causing polluted soil, but we are doing the best we
can with what we have.
I'm not a fan of tomatoes,
but we'll keep trying because I love spaghetti
and pizza sauces.

I love our raspberry bushes.  One of my
favorite things in the garden.
Also I enjoy the cucumbers and
carrots.
This is the start of my seed harvesting.
I have a few more from 2024, but no picture
to be found yet, and I was too tired to go take one.
Our precious Hunter, loved picking peas.
Such a beloved dog. These peas will forever
remind us of him.
Now house plants I've always had a few.
Here is one corner of our 945 square foot home.
and here is the other side.   I have a bay window
full, but didn't want to open the blinds for
their picture, and some out in the porch too.
In all probably over 50 plus house plants.
They are a lot of work but I love them.
The pup was playing nicely for a few minutes
today.  Bless his heart.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Isaiah 58:11KJV
And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought,
and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden,
and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

Card #34 for 2025

Dearest Blog Readers,
This post is a wee bit long.  My apologies in advance.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamp sets I used for this card are:
Stampin up
Storybook life
Beautiful butterflies
The Inks
pecan pie
daffodil delight
so saffron
This is the front of the card all closed up to fit in the
standard A2 envelope.   I stamped, colored and fussy
cut out the butterfly, added a little wink of stella to
the wings.  I also fussy cut the sentiment and separated it so
it fit my card better.  That was a project cutting those letters out.
A whole new appreciation for dies and good eyes.
This is the backside of the card where I just used
the yellow card stock  so I have room to write, I did add two narrow
panels of DSP to break up all the yellow.
This is what the back looks like all folded closed.
Here is a rough draft template of the measurements I used
to make this fancy fold.
My first try with this card I used purple and had
a small accident with the glitter pen, but I'm still
going to send this one out to a friend.  I think she'll
understand the mishap.
The back of the purple card, for writing.
Puppy had a sleepy day today, usually he's a ball
full of energy, but today lots of napping.  I will take it.
I was able to rest myself.
Made some donuts for my husband.  He
was sad I hadn't been baking lately, so I got busy in the kitchen.
Would you be interested if I shared a few recipes?
The verse I chose for this card is:
Song of Solomon 2:12KJV
The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come,
 and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;

Card #33 for 2025

Dearest Blog Readers,
We have hit the above zero mark as in double digits.
We made it to 10 degrees today.  YAY!!
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamp sets I used for this card are:
Stampin Up
Trusty Tools
Bright Borders
Everyday You & Me
The inks are:
Old Olive
Boho Blue
Bumble Bee
I stamped the paint brushes and then fussy cut them out,
I then stamped the paint samples under each brush and made
sure to dip the tips of the brushes into the ink to make it appear
wet and fresh.  I added a little brad to the top of each brush.
The little fella wasn't feeling so well today,
but still well enough to be jumping up on my lap.
I turned my husband's favorite cookies,
into bars. So I wouldn't have to keep going
back to the oven every 8 minutes.  They
turned out fantastic.  Perhaps I will have to
share a few more recipes again.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 106:1KJV
Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks unto the Lord
for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
