Dearest Blog Readers,
I made sure to line up the DSP the best I could this
time around. I guess a gal needs to pay close attention
to such things like this before gluing down. I'm learning.
This was a must have stamp set for me, because
I do enjoy reading so much, as do my kiddos.
So I was pleased to be able to purchase this one.
I cut all the card stock and DSP first, and then stamped
the sentiment, and books. I fussy cut out the books and
used dimensionals to pop them up. Want to know something
silly? I was going to use solid red as the background, but
because puppers was sleeping by the paper in my craft room
I chose not to disturb the little rascal and went with gray
which was a total blessing in disguise, because I think it looks
way better and makes it all pop.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
Patriot will sometimes settle himself, and it's a sweet
moment when he does.
This was a labor of love, that little mug was so
difficult with my big old hands, but happy to say
I finished it, just not sure I am up for making another one
anytime soon. Coasters are way easier.
I made a healthier version of chocolate filled candy
3/4 cup enjoy choc. chips melted with
1tsp coconut oil
filling:
1 cup raspberries
1-2 tablespoons chia seeds
mix and let sit to thicken a bit
put dollops of milk chocolate on wax paper or in
a candy mold. chill for a few minutes, then spoon
the raspberry filling in and top with the remaining
chocolate and return to fridge or freezer to firm up.
Hope ya enjoy.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 119:105
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
