#tgifc127 ~Halloween PIzza Box

No card today.. instead this wickedly fun Pizza Box that is just the perfect size for a giant chocolate chip cookie.   Sorry to say I didn't get to baking any up today.  I so bad wanted to, but just not able.  Had a dentist appointment that took quite a long time and well ya all know it's very difficult for me to get around and the chair was not comfortable.   Any ways I'm glad I went I haven't gone in years.  I know WOW.. but we don't have dental insurance and so  I just try to do my best.  They say it's either allergies or clenching causing the pain, but so thankful to the LORD it was not tooth decay/or such.   Sorry for the long story there but that's why the NO baking today.  Just a bit broken after the dentist visit.  By the Way they have a spectacular aquarium there.  And being that I act like a child I have to know certain things.. like if you have a "Dory" why can't you have a "Nemo" in the same tank.. the lady told me they would fight to their death they don't get along.. only in the movies.. interesting..eh?

Ok.. enough of that and onto this delightful pizza box.  I made it for the challenge at: TGIF
I chose the middle row straight down.   I made a belly band to hold my pizza box closed and then glued some lovely polka-dot ribbon to it.  Love that stuff.  I got it at walmart for a dollar.  I then stamped my little spider whom I've nicknamed Charlotte and colored her in, and cut her out.   I think the sentiment is perfect for this Halloween treat box.  I added a bit of clear wink of stella on her to sparkle things up a bit.

HSS Sketch Challenge #274~Belated Birthday~Made 2 Last & Daisy Delight

Nothing like having a bit of a stressful day to get the creative juices flowing.  I was so delighted to come upon a fresh new challenge at: Hand Stamped Sentiments
It took me a bit to try and figure out what I was going to do.  I started by trying to cut the paper to match the shapes in the sketch exactly.  After a few errors, I won't name how many I just gave up and went with a lovely stamped image instead.   The little pocket is from stampin up called Made 2 Last.  The flowers are the Daisy Delight set, and the sentiment is a Close to my Heart set called Belated Birthday Occasions.  I think they all worked together pretty good.  I added a little bling around the flowers to give it some sparkle. I was going to add sequins but realized I'm completely out of mini glue dots.. GASP.😲
I love making cards but I'm so poor at getting the birthday cards out in time.   Hence the reason for this card.
Thank you for stopping by.  As always I invite you to please click on the blue button in the left hand column and follow my blog.  Perhaps you will want to check out my other projects while you're here.  I love to have comments.   You can find my facebook page and pinterest board at "find me here" on the top bar above.

CAS Game #100 - Sketch~ Happy Fall

So here is my card number two that I made this morning for the amazing challenge at: AAA Cards
This is a fantastic sketch.
For this card I used my stamp set from: Close to my Heart>Many Thanks.  It just worked so lovely with that long narrow horizontal scroll image.  I masked the leaf after stamping so  I could stamp the scroll images across the top of it.  The sentiment sits ever so nicely on top.  I think this one is my favorite of the two I designed for this challenge.
Thank you so much for stopping by.  I invite you to check out my other cards, projects and pictures and perhaps follow my blog by clicking on that blue button in the left hand column.  You can also click on the top bar (find me here) to track me down on facebook and pinterest.

CAS Game #100 - Sketch~Autumn Harvest

I made this card for the challenge at: AAA Cards
I really love this sketch.  I think it makes the white space so much more available.   I hope ya all understand what I'm trying to say.  It's just a wonderful sketch.  Filled with possibilities.. in fact I'm going to have to try and play again with this one. But for now the pumpkin card.  I used stampin up's Season by Season(2005) for the Sentiment and Autumn Harvest(2007)  I did a bit of masking and then just colored the delightful pumpkins in.  I did have to cut out the gourd to give it a little accent. Otherwise no fancy stuff here.
Thanks so much for stopping by.  I'd love to have you click on that blue button in the left hand column and follow my blog.
Perhaps you might want to take a look around and see all my other cards, projects and pictures.  I sure would appreciate it.

SPOOKY CAT~Halloween Cards x4

As I promised here are the "Spooky Halloween" Cards I made this past weekend.   Well, I guess they're not so spooky.   I'm not to good at Halloween cards, but a dear blog friend blessed me with a stampin up set called Spooky Cat.   And for some reason I always think of Phoebe on the sitcom Friends singing her hit song> Smelly Cat  It's silly but makes me laugh.  Anyways back to the cards.  The top two I stuck with a few of the stamps in that set, and the bottom two I explored and played around with other things I had that would help give me that "Halloween" look for a card.  I must say I love the ribbon I bought at Walmart for a dollar.  whoohoo that is spook-tacular.  I also love the cute fence.  I die cut it in black as to give the haunted forest an enter at your own risk feel.  I think  I should have made a little sign saying  "BEWARE".  Which of course then reminds me of the Wizard of Oz..(one of my all time favorite old movies)  When the Lion was in the forest reading the signs.. "I'd turn back if I were you".
Well folks a lots of cutting and coloring were involved with these cards but I think they are pretty cute over all.   I suppose a lot more practice and a few more stamps wouldn't hurt either.
I invite you to stop over at my friend's blog to see her lovely cards and projects.  I'm so thankful to  Nancy for this awesome set.  You will find her at: Nanny's Pansy Patch.

CTS #241~Here Comes Santa Claus

I made this cute little Santa Christmas Card for the challenge at: Case This Sketch

When I first saw this sketch I immediately knew I would be using a snow globe (my favorite).  Well, two hours later and nothing working as I had imagined I decided a change of plans.. so went with Santa instead.   I stamped him and colored him, making a few mistakes because the hands are shaky, but over all not to shabby.  I then added some clear wink of stella to the white trim to give it some sparkle.  Cut him out and then placed him on top of the HoHoHo  washi tape, which I was going to let serve as my sentiment, but it looked a bit plain so I stamped out a Merry Christmas to add on top.
Thank you so much for stopping by.  I will be adding more posts today.. all spooky😉halloween cards, so please make sure to come back and take a look and leave a comment.

Week 268: FORTUNE & SCS

I made this card for the challenge at: CASology

And also found it fitting for my SCS (Scripture Card Sunday)
I figure it is good "fortune" to have the LORD  as my protector and strength.  So that is why I chose this verse stamp, and the sun rays stamp, it just seemed to work well with the "light".   I kept it extremely simply today, not one embellishment. but then again Not much white space either😞 But I like it.  Hope you do too.
I'm also sharing a picture of the campfire my hubby made for me while he finished up the yard work.  I had been wanting one and what better way to end our first day of October.  The smells, of autumn as the fire snaps, crackles and pops.. for a minute I lost my train of thought and started dreaming of rice krispie treats for some reason.. haha. .
Any ways thanks ever so much for stopping by.
