Card #4 for 2025

Dearest Blog Reader, I appreciate you stopping by.
I'm trying to stamp a bit more, even though the
puppy is a full time job.  My goodness.  It's just
like my dear friend Nancy said, they are like having
toddlers in the house again.  That is so very true.
I did manage a card today, and even got to color in
the images. The stamp set I chose to work with today
is Stampin Up, Toile Christmas
I have four red markers and all but one worked.  I need
to sort through these markers and toss the old dried up
ones.  Why must I keep things like that.  I even need
to go though my ink pads.   Well long story there to
say I wanted to try and blend colors on the cardinal,
but my markers weren't cooperating so I used a dried up
one to make it lighter in spots.
I will enter this card in at:
Anything Goes
with the option of
Hand Coloured Image
Here is a picture of the little 6 month old.
He just woke up from a nap, and is concerned
he's back in the stamping room with me.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Matthew 6:26KJV
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap,
nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them.
Are ye not much better than they?
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Card #3 for 2025

Dearest Blog Readers, I'm so happy you
stopped by for a visit.
I used a lovely snowflake embossing folder
to start this card off in the right direction of winter.
I then stamped and colored in the images using
an array of colors and realizing I don't have nearly
as many brown markers as I thought I did.  So
Mr. Moose looks a bit like copper. (haha) Which
would make for a cute name if I had a pet moose.
I will enter this card at:
Challenge:
Anything Goes Embossing with a
Twist of Winter.

The stamp sets I used in this card are from
Stampin Up:
All Bundled UP
In the Pines
Below are a couple pictures of Patriot pup.  He
is 6 months old and full of energy.  Always
watching out the windows to see the action.

The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 74:17KJV
Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Card #2 for 2025

Dearest Blog Readers, I do hope you are
ending the weekend on a happy note of thankfulness.
I'm trying.  But this pup of mine is frustrating me.
He is a jumper and each time I tried to stamp this
card, into my lap he decided to be.  He's a 35 pounder
right now so it's no easy task and I'm covered in
blue marks.  We are trying to practice staying down.
But it's not sinking in yet for this 6 month old.
I will enter this card at:
The stamp set I used in this card is:
Stampin Up: Light & Peace
I decided it needed a little gold accent paper along
the side to make the angle wings stand out.
This year I'm going to try and use my older
stamps more frequently.  Through my years of
stamping I've stocked up quite a collection.  And now
with the uncertainty of my husband's new job,
I'm not going to be purchasing much.  So I am
grateful for all the supplies I have and look
forward to using some oldies but goldies.  I might
even add a few to my etsy shop.  I need to start
getting more serious with that dwindling little
shop of mine.
Here is the little card making culprit.
Patriot the pup.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Luke 2:10KJV
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold,
I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Card #1 for 2025

Dearest Blog Readers, Happy New Year.
I can't believe that last year I only made 61 cards.  Of
course there were a few card projects with multiple cards,
and a few tags for Christmas, but what a bummer to think
that's all the cards I made.  It had been a rough year losing
our beloved dog, and then my husband's jobs here in Dec.
But I am hopeful and prayerful this year will be better.
So I'm starting off with a card of gratitude for life.
We are here living and that is a lot to be grateful for.

I will enter this card in the
The stamp set I used for this card is, Stampin up:
Simply Zinnia
I was going to do a Christmas card, because I'm
always running short.  SO hopefully this year I will be
making many more Christmas cards to be prepared.
Any ways, I ended up with a flower.  Not my usual go
to for card making but I gave it a shot.  ya know the
leaves there just didn't look right to me tucked under the
bloom, so I used them as a stem instead. The color I chose for the
flower is razzleberry and it matched the DSP pretty well
I added glitter to the center but my glitter pen is running low,
so it's hard to tell unless you hold the card just right.  wink.
Patriot Pup turned 6 months old today.  He's a handful
and we are exhausted trying to train him.  He's a bit
naughty and sometimes aggressive, but we aren't
giving up.  He's part of the family.
He has those puppy dog eyes, that make you think
aww, sweet little pup, but turn your back and the little
goat is on the furniture, table, counter, or nabbing
socks from the laundry basket then a fun game of
tag around the table to fetch the sock.. Who is
training who here?   He is a rascal.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 100:4KJV
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Card #61 for 2024

Dearest Blog Readers~ How will you be spending
your New Year's Eve? Do you make resolutions?
We stay in and watch the ball drop on tv.  I'm not
one to make resolutions, but I do choose a word and
a scripture verse for the year.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamp sets I used for this card is:
Stampin Up:
It's a celebration
Light the sky
Autumn Leaves clear stamps
hand drawn alphabet
I took the "round" about way to finally get to this card.
My goodness, it started off gold and silver, and then
white and gold, white and silver, but finally I decided
tuxedo black was the perfect choice.  I even looked up
traditional New Year's Eve colors:
  • Gold and silverA classic combination that symbolizes wealth, success, and luxury.
  • YellowA bright color that represents joy, happiness, and the energy of the sun. It's also believed to attract wealth and prosperity.
  • RedA color associated with luck, prosperity, and vitality. It's also said to bring love and abundance.
  • WhiteAn angelic color that represents purity, cleanliness, pure intentions, and new beginnings.
  • PurpleAn understated color that represents wisdom, royalty, collected energy, and power.
  • BlackA color that represents elegance, formality, drama, and mystery.
  • GreenA color that represents renewal, growth, and harmony.
  • Chocolate brownA color that represents the groundedness of the earth signs.
  • PinkA color that represents friendship, inner peace, and approachability
I embossed the fireworks in sparkle silver and now have glitter
everywhere.  I'm sure I'll be finding it for days to come.
I kept the inside simple with just the year so that I have
room to write my message.
The little pup is a tiny bit better.  Thanking the Lord for that.
It's been a rough week. Last night he made it through the night
without having to go outside with tummy troubles.
Tomorrow my husband starts his new job.  Our nerves our
a little frazzled here still from him being let go so
unexpectedly without warning from both jobs,  they
say it was the economy.  But nevertheless it has been a
humbling experience for us both.  25 years with a company
gives a person no security.  But God heard our prayers and
He prepared a new job for my husband and he starts tomorrow.
Please keep our family in your prayers.  My health is fragile,
the dog for healing, and my husband's strength to learn his
new job and do it well.  Thank you so much.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Rev. 21:5KJV
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.
And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Card #60 for 2024

Dearest Blog Readers.  I hope ya all had a lovely
Christmas with family and friends.
I made this birthday card for my daughter.  We love
that her birthday is next to Christmas, so does she.
I will enter this card in at:
The stamp sets I used in this card are:
Stampin Up:
Flowing flowers
rise & shine
latte love
incredibly like you
I used an assortment of blender pens to acheive
the colors I desired.  I heat embossed the sentiment
on the front of the card in white as to match the
snowy white accents.  I also added glossy accents
to the mugs to make it look more realistic and
resemble liquid. The little pearls were added later
because I ripped the DSP and needed to ink it up and
then cover it up as best I could.  Always a mishap
or two on my cards.  Guess that keeps them originals.
If you could PLEASE keep our family in your prayers.
My husband was dismissed *without warning from both of his
jobs on Dec 12th, and he is the sole provider for our family. They
say it is the economy and that is why they released him.
Also, our sweet pup has been sick since Christmas Eve.
throwing up and diarrhea.  Had him to the vet and they put him
on a probiotic which only made it worse.  We were up 6x
with him last night.  So we would appreciate prayers for us all.
Thank you so very muchly.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 23:5KJV
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Card #59 for 2024

Dearest Blog Readers, 5 days until Christmas.
This year with having covid since after Thanksgiving,
I feel very unprepared for Christmas, in fact I didn't
even send out as many Christmas cards this year.  I
do thank the Good LORD that my smell and taste
are returning slowly, just very weak and tired yet. Then
on Dec 12th we had some very unexpected upsetting news.
We are still trying to process it all.  I will share more
later on that topic.  For now lets talk about this card I made.
I can't believe I've only made 59 cards for the year,
goodness that's astonishing low, for someone who loves
to stamp, guess losing Hunter, and now the new pup
have just kept me busy, with worry and stress.
I will enter this card at:
I used the following stamp sets:
Stampin Up:
Holiday Home
For Unto Us
Winter Window from paper treyink
and a Christmas snowglobe set(not sure the name)
I took a lot of creative liberties with the sketch in
regards to this card.  I just wanted to use my window pane set.
Sometimes when I go through my stamps, I forget what I have.
It had 12 panes but I cut off the lower three so it would fit
in the space better.  I used blue cardstock in the background
and stamped white snow and then the Santa and his reindeer are in
black.  I die cut the christmas tree after stamping it along with the
windowsill evergreen.   I look forward to playing a bit more with
this set.  I looked it up online to see what others have done with it.
Below is a picture of Patriot enjoying the snow. It's the first
accumulation where he can frolic and play.  He loves it.
I finished my crocheted tote bag last night.  Very hard
on my eyes because of the dark colors, but it's a whopper
and I'm sort of proud of myself for getting it done.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and
a Happy Healthy prosperous New Year
Thanks for sticking with me all year.

The verse I chose for this card is:
Luke 2:14KJV
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
