CTS #276~ Southern Serenade Stampin UP

I used my brand new set called Southern Serenade from Stampin up.    I come across a beautiful card a couple weeks ago, and thought oh my, I must order this one.  It's so not something I ever would have thought I needed, But then I thought.. step outside the comfort zone and order it.  So folks here is my first card using this set.  I even made sure to stamp the lace on here too.. how vintage.. wink.

I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:

Challenge 368~Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge ~ J1318~ Happy 4th Of July

I want to give a big warm welcome to my newest blog follower.  This is  exciting❕
Image result for minion thank you
I'm so happy you decided to sign up and follow my blog.  💛

Can you believe two whole days with no stamping?  OH my goodness.  I was worried I'd lose my mojo.   But up first  is my 4th of July card that  I made using two different embossing folders, stars on the blue card stock and stripes on the white.  I also die cut out the square on the white card stock.  I'm really impressed at how well the stamped image turned out.  I had to color each of the sections with markers to get the desired look for the flag and sentiment.  I then used pop dots to give it some dimension so it would stand up out of the die cut square.   I think the little ribbon ties it together perfectly.
I'm going to submit this card to the following challenges.
I chose the middle row across:  Patriotic, embossing and die cut.

FMS341~ Best Birds, Peaceful Place, Stampin up

I'm so excited to share the pictures of the little coaster calendar I made.. But first up is the card I created for the challenge at: Freshly Made Sketches
I used Best Birds from stampin up.  After stamping the images I used a few of my markers to color them in and I tried to blend the colors the best I could.   When you're working with only a few alcohol markers you have to be very picky on what you choose.   I cut the branch in half so both birdies could have a resting spot.  The sentiment is from stampin up also and is a new one called peaceful place.    I will indeed have to look into purchasing a few more markers especially for the lovely scenic stamp in that set.

Now for this cute little calendar.  Not much to say about it but I'm so pleased with how it turned out.   I think I will make a few of these and see if they sell in my Etsy Shop.

Do you think they are cute?  They stand up on their own.  I think it would be perfect for a desk.  I even thought about perhaps adding some sticky strip or magnetic back to put on a refrigerator or in a locker.   That way I'd only use one of the coasters instead of two.  How much would you pay for something like this?   I'm thinking  $8.00 ~ Do you think that is to highly priced?

FUSION - Floral Cupcakes~Lilypad Lake, Enjoy Life, Stampin Up

Here is the third card today.   I was on a roll this morning.    I was so happy to get a chance to play with a few of my new stamp sets.   This particular card features the Stampin up, Lilypad Lake, and Enjoy Life.   I think they worked well together.
I am going to submit this card to the challenge at:
I usually like to try and fuse the two pictures together.. meaning use the sketch to play along with the photo,  however today I just decided to stick with the sketch.   I really like the layout.   I kept the card clean and simple.

Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.
I hope you will take a look at my other cards, projects and pictures.

Here is Card number two I made in my trio of cards today.   So as you can see I still need practice with the sponging technique, I'm not sure I'll ever get it.. It  started as a lovely sunset but now looks more like a volcano ready to erupt.

The stamp sets featured in today's card are:
Stampin Up~ Lilypad Lake
Stampin Up~ High Tide
Stampin Up~Waterfront.

I think these are 3 of my favorite stamp sets.    SO many options.. ooh.. I just can't hardly wait to make more.

I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:

They have a cute variety of images to choose from.    I love this clothes line with swimsuits and towels.  My summer sentiment on the inside is from stampin up.

Sketch 268, Sure Do Love You, Definitely Decorative Pines Stampin UP

I'm happy to say  that so far today is going a wee bit better then yesterday.  Goodness gracious the anxiety was high for me yesterday, I couldn't hardly even make a card.  That's usually my coping method and great distraction.   I even reached out to a dear friend for prayers.  It can get a bit overwhelming.. she came through with prayers, and support, and even sent me the cutest funnies, to try and get my mind off of things.  I will share a couple at the bottom of my post here.  Also so thankful for a praying husband, and my little HP.. this dog just senses things.. and gosh if he don't come running to be by my side. LOVE him dearly.. I thought I'd include another picture of him today.

So onto today's card. I made this one for the challenge at:

I love playing along.  They have some awesome sketches.   I pulled out one of my old favorites from stampin up.  A 1998 set called Definitely Decorative Pines.  I remember so well when I first laid eyes on it, I knew it was a must have.  I love moose, and gosh if this one isn't a darling.  Plus the pine cones are fabulous and that little twig of spruce is awesome.   I paired it with a sentiment also from stampin up but a much newer set called Sure do Love you.   I thought I'd share a few things I've done with the decorative pines set.  Now please keep in mind these were my early years of stamping so not so neat and tidy.. who am I kidding.. haha. .I'm still a sloppy stamper. 😉

This is above a door frame in our home.   I did this on two of them, but we ended up removing the one door to a closet a few years ago, but found the basement stairwell a lovely place to re-use it.. so tacked on some hooks and it now holds umbrellas and HP's towel for paw washing and his lead for walking.

I also stamped this letter holder.  that usually holds nothing but keys and a remote because it fell off the wall and so now the little pockets don't work so well.. as mail slips through, but I thought it still has a purpose.    Any ways just a few quick pictures to show ya how I've used this stamp set over the years.
